Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a metal / resin composite structure and a method for producing a metal / resin composite structure.
In automobile parts and electronic equipment parts, demands such as weight reduction, design improvement, and reduction of assembly man-hours are increasing. Among them, a metal-resin integration technique that can join a metal and a resin without using an adhesive or mechanical fastening has been studied.
In recent years, as a technology for joining and integrating metal moldings and resin moldings, engineering plastics with polar groups that have affinity with the metal member are joined to the metal member surface with fine irregularities (For example, Patent Documents 1 to 5).
For example, in Patent Documents 1 to 3, after an aluminum alloy is immersed in a hydrazine aqueous solution to form a recess having a diameter of 30 to 300 nm on the surface, a polybutylene terephthalate resin (hereinafter referred to as “PBT”) is formed on the treated surface. ), Or a technique for joining a polyphenylene sulfide resin (hereinafter referred to as “PPS”).
In Patent Document 4, an aluminum material is anodized in an electrolytic bath of phosphoric acid or sodium hydroxide to form an anodized film having a recess having a diameter of 25 nm or more on the surface of the aluminum material, A technique for joining an engineering plastic to a processing surface is disclosed.
Further, Patent Document 5 discloses a technique in which fine irregularities or holes are formed in an aluminum alloy with a specific etching agent, and polyamide 6 resin, polyamide 66 resin, and PPS are injected and bonded to the holes.
On the other hand, the technology for joining amorphous resin and metal is far less than that of crystalline resin, and it is currently difficult to efficiently join amorphous resin to develop high strength. ing. Especially for polycarbonate, from the viewpoints of transparency, moldability, colorability, mechanical properties, and surface glossiness, there is a high demand especially for design parts such as smartphones, and especially a demand for joining with metals such as aluminum. It is coming.
According to the study by the present inventors, in the metal / resin composite structure obtained by the methods disclosed in Patent Documents 1 to 5, when the resin member is an amorphous resin, sufficient bonding is achieved. It has been found that the strength cannot be secured.
Accordingly, the present inventors have found various physical characteristics and molding conditions of a resin member (hereinafter also referred to as a polycarbonate resin member) made of a polycarbonate resin, which is an amorphous resin, and the resulting metal / resin composite structure. The relationship with the bonding strength of the steel was studied. First, the present inventors have found that the bonding strength of the resulting metal / resin composite structure tends to increase even if it is a polycarbonate resin member if the temperature of the mold during molding is increased. However, generally, raising the temperature of the mold during molding improves the bonding strength, but tends to cause a delay in the molding cycle, and may cause a problem in terms of productivity.
In other words, the conventional metal / amorphous resin composite structure has a trade-off relationship between bonding strength and productivity, and the trade-off relationship could not be improved only by changing the molding conditions. .
The present invention has been made in view of the above circumstances, and by directly controlling the physical properties of the polycarbonate resin member within a specific range, the metal member and the resin member can be directly joined without excessively raising the molding temperature. It is possible to provide a metal / resin composite structure having an excellent balance between productivity and bonding strength.
In order to stably and efficiently obtain a metal / resin composite structure excellent in bonding strength between a metal member and a polycarbonate resin member, the present inventors have obtained a relationship between various characteristics of the resin member and bonding strength. It was investigated. As a result, by using a polycarbonate resin member that satisfies specific requirements, the above trade-off relationship can be improved, and a metal / resin composite structure having excellent bonding strength can be stably and efficiently produced under a wide range of molding conditions. As a result, the present invention was reached.
