Description

The present invention relates to a method for drawing a moire pattern on a drawing object such as paper using a stamp, and to a stamp used for a method for drawing such a moire pattern.

Moire is also referred to as “interference fringes”, and is a striped pattern that is visually generated when element figures such as fine dots and lines that are regularly distributed are superposed with their phases shifted. In the field of printing, halftone dots are arranged for gradation representation of photographs and the like, and in the field of computer image processing, dots called pixels are arranged in image processing. A stripe pattern or the like that does not originally exist due to a shift in pitch or inclination is generated, and this is generally regarded as a phenomenon that should be avoided as so-called noise.

However, a simple and monotonous halftone dot or halftone line is shifted and rotated slightly, such as by shifting it horizontally, creating a moiré pattern that is unexpectedly complex and makes the viewer feel aesthetic. It has been known. In the textile field, a beautiful moire pattern may be intentionally generated by weaving the fabric fibers out of phase. In the field of illustration and comics, moire patterns may be used as effects by layering regular screen tones. However, the screen tone is expensive and needs to be used for handling, and can only be applied to paper or the like on which the adhesive on the back surface is effective. For this reason, the screen tone is intended for professional use such as illustrators, and is not suitable for the purpose of casually enjoying drawing moire patterns on various objects.

On the other hand, in the field of handcrafts, a technique called “stamp art” has recently attracted attention. Stamp art is a hobby that you can enjoy by freely drawing on personal items as well as on paper, using rubber stamp stamps that can print letters and figures and inks of various colors. An introductory book such as Non-Patent Document 1 has been published (see FIG. 1), and rubber stamps for stamp art as shown in FIGS. 2 and 3 are manufactured and sold. There are also lectures for learning techniques and events for lovers.
“First Stamp Art” published by Magazine Land

Conventional stamp art is mainly drawn by imprinting stamps on paper, etc. with various color inks and stamps with concrete shapes such as significant figures and characters. Techniques such as handwritten drawing and combination with other drawing means are performed.
In addition to drawing paper, drawing objects include cards, bags and other miscellaneous goods.

By the way, even in the conventional stamp art, a stamp having a geometric pattern marking surface composed of a set of parallel lines and dots may be used, but its use is for drawing a pattern itself or drawing a background pattern, There has been no intentional drawing of moire patterns by overlaying geometric patterns.

The present invention provides a method for intentionally drawing a moiré pattern on a drawing object by using a stamp having a geometric pattern stamp surface having a predetermined condition in stamp art, and a stamp suitable for the method. It is an issue to provide.

In order to solve the above-described problem, a moire pattern drawing method according to claim 1 of the present invention provides a geometric pattern stamp face in which convex surfaces of a large number of identical element figures are arranged two-dimensionally symmetrically. A first step of stamping a stamp having an object to be drawn to obtain a first print, and a second step of stamping the stamp in a plurality of times while changing the phase with respect to the first print. It is characterized by that.

Moire is a beat phenomenon of two spatial frequencies, and the moire pattern generated on the two-dimensional drawing surface is a phase of lines and dots, etc. (hereinafter referred to as “element figures”) that are continuously arranged in a specific cycle. When the two are overlapped with each other, they are visually recognized as a new striped pattern generated at a period corresponding to the difference between the distance between the adjacent element figures and the phase shift. Therefore, even if the element graphic itself is a straight line, a curve, a point, or some graphic, a moire pattern is generated if they are continuously arranged in a specific cycle. The phase shift is horizontal movement, rotation, or a combination thereof.

A stamp is the most convenient means of drawing element figures arranged continuously in a specific cycle. After imprinting the stamp with the array of element figures on the drawing target surface once, the stamp is moved horizontally, rotated, or overlapped, and the same group of two element figures out of phase overlap to create a moire pattern. Drawn.

The purpose of stamp art is not to show the desired moire pattern based on the calculation, but the accidental appearance of various moire patterns unexpected by the user (creator) due to a subtle phase shift caused by hand. The purpose is to enjoy. Therefore, regardless of the shape of each element figure, it is preferable from an art point of view that the arrangement is two-dimensional point symmetry, that is, 180 degree symmetry. This is because if the arrangement is two-dimensional point symmetry, the resulting moire pattern will always be symmetric regardless of the direction of the phase of the two element graphic groups, which is highly aesthetic in terms of human visual characteristics. Because it becomes.

Specifically, when the element figure is a point (dot), the arrangement is a square grid or a so-called halftone dot with all points adjacent to each other, and when it is a straight line, it is equally spaced. In the case of a parallel line, a circle (including an ellipse) is a concentric circle. However, the arrangement is not limited to this as long as the overall arrangement is two-dimensional point symmetry.

A stamp with a stamp can be drawn not only twice but also three times or more to draw a complex and high-density moire pattern. Further, a more complicated moire pattern can be drawn by repeatedly pressing stamps having the same shape of element figures or different arrangement intervals / periods. Furthermore, the expressive power can be enhanced by changing the color and density of the ink used for the stamp and pressing it repeatedly.

The stamp described in claim 2 has a stamping surface formed by arranging the convex surfaces of a large number of identical element figures symmetrically in a two-dimensional point, which is used in the moire pattern drawing method described in claim 1. The structure of the stamp itself may be a main body having a gripping portion made of wood or plastic or the like, and a stamp surface made of a material having a certain elasticity such as rubber formed by integrally arranging convex surfaces forming element figures is sufficient, The size and shape of the main body and the marking surface are arbitrary.

If the element figure is an independent figure such as a dot (dot) or a parallel line that does not lose the two-dimensional point symmetry even if it is continuously expanded in the same arrangement, the stamp face is It can also be affixed to the outer surface of the cylinder without any breaks to form a roller. In this case, if a roller-shaped printing surface is rotatably attached to the handle, it is possible to continuously print on the drawing object like a paint coating roller. By using such a roller-type stamp, the prints are arranged in parallel with no gaps to obtain a first print wider than the width of the print surface, and the phase is shifted and a second print having a similar width is superimposed to obtain a larger moiré. The width of the drawing method can be further expanded, for example, by efficiently drawing a pattern, or by creating a moire pattern only at the intersection overlap portion between the first print and the second print in the band shape.

According to the present invention, a user can draw a complicated and beautiful moiré pattern simply by pressing a stamp without requiring a special technique. The moire pattern changes completely due to a slight phase shift of stamp pressing, and its unexpectedness stimulates the user's desire to create. The present invention can be expected to have the effect of significantly improving the expressiveness of stamp art regardless of the user's age and skill.

Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described with reference to FIGS. FIG. 4 is a perspective view of the stamp 1 according to one embodiment of the present invention, and FIG. 5 is a front view of the stamp surface 4 viewed from the front and a side view of the stamp 1.

The stamp 1 includes a stamp stand 2 and a grip portion 3, and a stamp face 4 is pasted on the surface of the stamp stand 2 via a cushion 5, and has the same configuration as a general office stamp. The stamp stand 2 and the grip portion 3 are made of synthetic resin such as wood or plastic, and can be integrally molded. The stamp surface 4 is preferably made of rubber (rubber), and the cushion 5 is preferably a sponge sheet. A large number of convex surfaces 6 made up of dots as element figures are integrally formed on the surface of the marking surface 4 in a two-dimensional point-symmetric square lattice shape.

FIG. 6 shows halftone dots that appear when the stamp 1 is impressed on the drawing target surface. A dot pattern print can be enlarged by pressing a plurality of prints side by side without overlapping.

FIG. 7 shows a print in which the stamp 1 is printed for the second time after the stamp 1 is rotated about the central axis after the stamp 1 is rotated. Various different moire patterns are drawn by changing the rotation angle.

In FIG. 8, the left and center prints are the ones with the rotation angle changed by the stamp 1 and are further overlapped and stamped three times, and the right prints are stamped four times. Compared to the case of FIG. 7, a more complicated and three-dimensional moire pattern is drawn.

FIG. 9 shows the stamp 1 in which the second printing is performed by shifting the phase in an oblique direction rather than rotating. Compared to the case of a single stamp, a grid-like moire pattern in the vertical and horizontal directions is drawn.

FIG. 10 is a print in which, after the first stamping by the stamp 1, the second stamping is performed by superimposing different stamps arranged by changing the pitch of dots having the same shape and the same size. In the left figure rotated around the central axis, a moire pattern having a substantially houndstooth pattern is drawn, and in the right figure simply pushed without shifting the phase, a linear moire pattern is drawn in each direction.

FIG. 11 is a print in which after the first stamping with the stamp 1, different stamps having larger dots arranged in the same shape are overlapped and rotated around the central axis to perform the second stamping. Since the overlapping dots are deformed, a partially three-dimensional moire pattern is drawn.

FIG. 12 exemplifies a print obtained by rotating the element figure of the stamp 1 twice in the center axis as a short diagonal line, x mark, and ◯ mark in addition to dots. Even if the element images are different from each other, a symmetric moire pattern in a new symmetric pattern is drawn to form a rhythmic pattern.

FIG. 13 exemplifies a print obtained by impressing twice by rotating the element graphic of the stamp 1 with an equally spaced horizontal line around the central axis. A three-dimensional moire pattern with tatami-shaped vertical lines appears.

FIG. 14 shows an example of a print obtained by making the element figure of the stamp 1 into concentric circles with a fine interval and shifting the phase of the second stamp obliquely upward. Moire patterns with radial patterns appear in the overlapping areas.

As described above, the moire pattern drawing method according to the present invention and the embodiment of the stamp used in the method have been described with reference to the drawings. However, the present invention is not limited to the above-described embodiment. Modifications or changes can be made within the scope of the technical idea of the invention, and they belong to the technical scope of the present invention.

For example, not only the element figure can be represented by a convex part, but also a stamp face that is an inverted figure as a concave part can be printed with a moire pattern with a different texture if the phase is shifted twice or more. Of course, even if the stamps with the same marking surface are used, the moire pattern produced by the phase shift is infinite. In addition, if the stamp stand / printing surface is made of a material with flexibility and elasticity, and the stamping surface can be attached to a solid curved surface, it can be applied not only to flat surfaces such as paper, but also to the three-dimensional surface of personal items. The moiré pattern can be drawn, and for example, the moiré pattern can be drawn on the curved surface of human skin or nails and applied to makeup or nail art. The stamp according to the present invention can be used not only for drawing a moire pattern, but also for decorating with a slight inclination generated by hand-pressing by simply arranging and continuously filling the drawing object. It can also be partly moire patterns. Therefore, it can be used for a wide range of applications, such as the production of original design wrapping paper, the design of patterns such as T-shirts, and wall decoration.

The present invention can be used as a new design drawing method and design tool in textile design, product design, interior design, etc. as well as in the art and hobby fields represented by stamp art, and its application range is wide. It can also be used for children's educational materials and activities in welfare facilities for the elderly.
