Abstract
Description

1つ以上の実施形態において、布をコーティングするための従来の方法が、本発明の実施において用いられてもよい。一例として、米国特許第5,112,678号が参照により本明細書に組み込まれる。例えば、原ガラスマット(例えば、「基材」)は、アプリケータロールを使用して、コーティングステーション内でコーティングされ得る。アプリケータロールは、その軸を中心に回転するように駆動され得る(時計回りあるいは反時計回り)。コーティングパンには、アプリケータロールが適当量のコーティングをアプリケータロールの上部に引き出すのに十分なレベルまでコーティング混合物が充填される。アプリケータロールの回転速度は、ガラスマットが運搬されるときに、ガラスマット中に適当量のコーティング混合物を入れるために使用される。その運搬経路において、ガラスマットは、覆う弧を描くようにアプリケータロールの周囲に延在する。削り取られた過剰なコーティングがコーティングパン中に戻るように、スクレーパブレードが配置され得る。過剰分が削り取られた後、コーティングされたマットは、コーティングされたガラスマットフェイサーが乾燥され、ロール中に巻かれる乾燥セクションに進む。
1つ以上の実施形態において、本発明のコーティングされた布は、種々の膜において補強材として使用され得る。例えば、コーティングされた布は、アスファルト膜、熱可塑性膜(例えば、PVC及びTPO膜)、並びにゴム膜(EPDM膜)などのルーフィング膜において補強材として使用され得る。例示的な膜が図3に示される。分解図に示される膜20は、ポリマー層(例えば、ポリオレフィン又はEPDM)22及び24を含む。本発明の1つ以上の実施形態に従うコーティング28を担持する補強材26がそれらに間に挟まれる。
Claims (12)
- コーティングされた布であって、
(a.)布基材と、
(b.)前記基材上のコーティングと、を含み、前記コーティングが、結合剤と、前記結合剤全体に分散される膨張可能なグラファイトと、を含む、コーティングされた布。 - 前記コーティングが、前記コーティングの総重量に基づき、約2〜約50重量%の膨張可能なグラファイトを含む、請求項1に記載のコーティング。
- 前記結合剤が、ポリマー結合剤である、請求項1に記載のコーティング。
- 前記コーティングが、充填剤を更に含む、請求項1に記載のコーティング。
- 前記布が、ガラス繊維布である、請求項1に記載のコーティング。
- 前記布が、ポリエステル布である、請求項1に記載のコーティング。
- 前記布が、セルロースマットである、請求項1に記載のコーティング。
- 前記布が、フリースである、請求項1に記載のコーティング。
- 請求項1に記載のコーティングされた布である布補強材を有する、膜。
- 請求項1に記載のコーティングされた布フェイサーを含む、断熱板又はカバー板。
- 請求項1に記載のコーティングされた布である裏打ちを含む、ルーフィング膜。
- 請求項1に記載のコーティングされた布を含む、ルーフィング下地。
