Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a sliding member, a housing, and a bearing device.
The bearing device includes, for example, a sliding member that slides with a mating member such as a shaft member, and a housing that holds the sliding member. When the shaft member rotates, a minute slip occurs between the sliding member and the housing. This slip causes the fretting of the sliding member or the housing.
Therefore, as shown in
However, with further improvements in engine performance, the requirements for bearing devices are becoming stricter. In particular, in the case of the outer peripheral surface of the sliding member and the inner peripheral surface of the housing, even if the amount of relative slip or deformation in a minute region increases, the performance of the bearing device is affected and high resistance to fretting is required. Yes. In the case of
Therefore, an object of the present invention is to provide a sliding member, a housing, and a bearing device that can ensure high resistance to fretting even under more severe conditions.

Moreover, the housing of this embodiment is provided with a DLC layer on the surface side in contact with the sliding member held on the radially inner side.
The DLC layer has a hardness of 1000 HV or less and includes absorption wave numbers of the following wave numbers (1) to (5) due to chemically different bonding states in infrared spectroscopic analysis.
Wave number (1) 2800-3100 cm −1

Wave number (3) 1200-1500 cm −1
Wave number (4) 3300-3600 cm −1

The integral value of the absorptance with respect to the wave number at the wave number (1) is the peak area value P1, the integral value of the absorptance at the wave number (2) is the peak area value P2, and the integral value of the absorptance at the wave number (3) is the peak. By the way, diamond like carbon (DLC) whose hardness is set to be larger than 1000 HV has a property of being brittle although the hardness is sufficiently high. Therefore, a hard DLC layer may cause peeling or destruction due to slight relative slip or deformation. Therefore, by setting the hardness of the DLC layer to 1000 HV or less as in the present embodiment, even if the relative slip amount or deformation amount in the minute region is increased, it is possible to reduce peeling and breakage of the DLC layer.
In addition, the inventors of the present invention find that not only the hardness of the DLC layer but also the chemical bonding state of DLC greatly contributes to the resistance to fretting, and the optimization of this chemical bonding state is It has been found that it is effective for improving the properties of the DLC layer. In DLC, the structure close to diamond and the structure close to graphite change depending on the chemical bonding state. For example, by adjusting conditions at the time of forming the DLC layer, the chemical bonding state between atoms constituting the DLC layer changes. And this chemical bond changes the wave number (Wave Number) which absorbs infrared rays according to the bonding state. Therefore, the chemical bonding state can be confirmed by spectroscopic analysis of the infrared spectrum. This absorption wave number includes wave number (1) to wave number (5) as described above.
Among these, the wave number (1) at which the absorption wave number is 2800 to 3100 cm −1 is caused by sp 3 —CH 3 bond or sp 3 —CH 2 bond. The wave number (2) at which the absorption wave number is 1500 to 1800 cm −1 is attributed to sp 2 —C bonds. The wave number (3) at which the absorption wave number is 1200 to 1500 cm −1 is attributed to an olefinic (Olefenic) sp 2 —CH 2 bond or sp 3 —CH 3 bond. The wave number (4) at which the absorption wave number is 3300 to 3600 cm −1 is attributed to sp-CH bonding. The wave number (5) at which the absorption wave number is 730 to 930 cm −1 is attributed to the olefinic sp 2 —CH 2 bond.
Here, the peak area value is used in the spectroscopic analysis of the infrared spectrum. The peak area value corresponds to an integral value of a spectrum in a specific wave number region as shown in FIG. Specifically, when the line indicating the analysis result shown in FIG. 5 is an analysis line Q, an intersection C1 with the analysis line Q at the lower limit wave number K1 and an intersection C2 with the analysis line Q at the upper limit wave number K2 are assumed to be virtual. Connect with a straight line L1. The area of the region S surrounded by the straight line L1 and the analysis line Q corresponds to the peak area value Pn (n is an integer). Hereinafter, the integral value of the wave number (1) is the peak area value P1, the integral value of the wave number (2) is the peak area value P2, and the integral value of the wave number (3) is P3.
In the present embodiment, the relationship among these peak area value P1, peak area value P2, and peak area value P3 is (P1 + P3) / (P1 + P2 + P3) ≧ 0.50. This indicates that the DLC layer contains many sp 3 —CH 3 bonds that are derived from the peak area value P1 and the peak area value P3. This sp 3 —CH 3 bond increases the flexibility of DLC compared to other sp 2 bond sp bonds. Therefore, the relationship of (P1 + P3) / (P1 + P2 + P3) ≧ 0.50 indicates that the durability of the DLC layer against deformation is improved. Thereby, even if the relative slip amount and the deformation amount in the minute region increase, the DLC layer is reduced in breakage and peeling. Therefore, high resistance to fretting can be ensured even under more severe conditions. Further, the relationship among these peak area value P1, peak area value P2, and peak area value P3 is preferably (P1 + P3) / (P1 + P2 + P3) ≦ 0.80.
In the sliding member of the present embodiment, the peak area value P1 and the peak area value P3 are P1 / (P1 + P3) ≧ 0.50.
In the housing of this embodiment, the peak area value P1 and the peak area value P3 are P1 / (P1 + P3) ≧ 0.50.
As described above, the peak area value P1 and the peak area value P3 are derived from sp 3 —CH 3 bonds. Among these, the peak area value P3 is also derived from sp 2 —CH 2 bonds. Therefore, when the peak area value P1 is compared with the peak area value P3, the higher the ratio of the peak area value P1, the more sp 3 —CH 3 bonds are included in the DLC layer. Therefore, the relationship of P1 / (P1 + P3) ≧ 0.50 improves the flexibility of the DLC layer and improves the durability against deformation. Therefore, destruction and peeling of the DLC layer are reduced, and resistance to fretting can be further increased. The relationship between the peak area value P1 and the peak area value P3 is preferably 0.65 ≦ P1 / (P1 + P3) ≦ 0.90.
In the sliding member of the present embodiment, when the integral value of the absorptance at the wave number (4) is a peak area value P4 and the integral value of the absorptance at the wave number (5) is a peak area value P5, the peak area is obtained. The value P4 and the peak area value P5 are included.
Further, in the housing of the present embodiment, when the integral value of the absorptance at the wave number (4) is the peak area value P4 and the integral value of the absorptance at the wave number (5) is the peak area value P5, The value P4 and the peak area value P5 are included.
Peak area value P4 as described above is derived from sp-CH bonds, the peak area value P5 is derived from the sp 2 -CH 2 bond. By including these sp—CH bonds and sp 2 —CH 2 bonds, the DLC layer has improved resistance to deformation and wear resistance. Therefore, destruction and peeling of the DLC layer are reduced, and resistance to fretting can be further increased.
In the sliding member of the present embodiment, the peak area value P1, the peak area value P4, and the peak area value P5 are P1 / (P1 + P4 + P5) ≧ 0.50.
In the housing of the present embodiment, the peak area value P1, the peak area value P4, and the peak area value P5 are P1 / (P1 + P4 + P5) ≧ 0.50.
Due to the relationship of P1 / (P1 + P4 + P5) ≧ 0.50, the DLC layer is improved in both wear resistance and durability against deformation. Therefore, resistance to fretting can be further increased. The relationship between the peak area value P4 and the peak area value P5 is preferably P1 / (P1 + P4 + P5) ≧ 0.75.
The sliding member of the present embodiment includes a soft layer having a hardness smaller than that of the bearing alloy layer on the surface of the bearing alloy layer.
By providing the soft layer on the surface of the bearing alloy layer, the external force received from the sliding counterpart member is alleviated by the soft layer. That is, the external force transmitted to the DLC layer provided on the surface opposite to the bearing alloy layer across the back metal layer is absorbed by the deformation of the soft layer. Therefore, deformation and wear of the DLC layer are reduced by providing a soft layer on the bearing alloy layer side. Therefore, resistance to fretting can be further increased.
The bearing device of this embodiment includes at least one of the above-described sliding member or housing.
Therefore, peeling and destruction of the DLC layer provided on the sliding member or the housing are reduced, and resistance to fretting can be further increased.
Hereinafter, embodiments will be described with reference to the drawings.
First, an engine to which the bearing device of the present embodiment is applied will be described. In one embodiment, the bearing device is applied to a diesel engine or a gasoline engine, for example, as a motor.
As shown in FIGS. 2 and 3, the bearing
The sliding
In the present embodiment, the sliding
DLC層23は、DLC(Diamond Like Carbon)によって形成されている。
The sliding
Pb−Sn、Pb−Sn−Cu、Pb−Sn−In、Pb−Sn−In−Cu系等が用いられる。

R1=(P1+P3)/(P1+P2+P3)

R2=P1/(P1+P3)

Next, a method for manufacturing the sliding
