Abstract
Description
As a background art in this technical field, for example, there is Japanese Patent No. 4949976 (Patent Document 1). In this publication, there is a description as "the problem to be solved is to detect the collection distribution of particulate matter that absorbs microwaves such as PM, nondestructively, easily and with high accuracy", As a means of solving the problem, “The feature of the particulate matter collection distribution detection method is that the ceramic collection container in which the particulate matter is collected is irradiated with microwaves at the millimeter wave level from the outside. The process of detecting the intensity of the transmitted microwave and calculating the amount of particulate matter collected by substituting the intensity into a predetermined relation between the microwave intensity and the amount collected. It is to detect the collection distribution of the collected particulate matter in the collection container. "
An exhaust gas purification device is mounted on the engine exhaust pipe for the purpose of removing PM such as carbon particles and sulfur-based particles from the exhaust gas of a gasoline engine. As an exhaust gas purification device, a purification device equipped with a honeycomb-shaped filter made of ceramics is generally used. However, when used for a long time, PM accumulates to cause clogging and exhaust resistance increases. Therefore, it is necessary to remove PM. For this reason, in automobiles, purification is forcibly performed by adding a fuel agent or the like to exhaust gas and burning it with an oxidation catalyst. At this time, when the amount of PM collected by the filter is large, a local heat rise occurs and the filter is subject to melting. Further, when the amount of PM is small, it is a problem that fuel is consumed wastefully.
On the other hand, in
Accordingly, an object of the present invention is to provide an apparatus for detecting particulate matter such as PM with high accuracy.
The above object can be achieved by the invention described in the claims. The present application includes a plurality of means for solving the above-described problems. For example, a pipe through which gas passes, a first oscillation unit that generates a first electromagnetic wave, and a second electromagnetic wave are generated. A second oscillation unit; a first detection unit that detects a first transmitted wave through which the first electromagnetic wave has transmitted through the gas; and a second transmitted wave through which the second electromagnetic wave has transmitted through the gas. A predetermined component included in the gas based on a second detection unit to be detected, a first transmitted wave detected by the first detection unit, and a second transmitted wave detected by the second detection unit; And a calculation unit for obtaining the concentration of the concentration detector.
According to the present invention, it is possible to provide an apparatus for detecting particulate matter such as PM with high accuracy.
図1に本実施例における,PM(Particulate Matter)濃度測定器の構成を模式図で示す。
FIG. 1 is a schematic diagram showing the configuration of a PM (Particulate Matter) concentration measuring device in the present embodiment. The PM concentration measuring device includes a first oscillating
The first oscillating
Terahertz waves are transmitted to some extent for semiconductors, ceramics, paper, etc., absorb for water, and reflect for metals. For the piping, a material is selected so that the terahertz light emitted from the oscillating part is transmitted to some extent, or only the part of the oscillating part and the photodetector is made to transmit the terahertz light to some extent.
I1=αβγI0・・・(数1)
I2=αβI0・・・(数2)
The amount of light emitted from the
I 1 = αβγI 0 (Expression 1)
It becomes. On the other hand, if the amount of light emitted from the first oscillating unit 4 is I 0 as in the first oscillating
I 2 = αβI 0 (Expression 2)
It becomes. Therefore, by measuring both and taking the ratio, the absorption rate by PM can be obtained as follows.
I 1 / I 2 = γ (Expression 3)
Since the PM absorption rate is proportional to the PM concentration, the PM concentration can be calculated from the calculated γ. The controller 7 controls the oscillation unit and the detector and performs the above calculation.
According to the present embodiment, it is possible to cancel the influence of moisture absorption and to measure the PM concentration before the exhaust gas filter with high accuracy in real time.
FIG. 2 shows a calculation flow of this embodiment. First, both the first oscillating
Since it is only necessary to measure the amount of transmitted light upstream and downstream of the filter, it is not always necessary to arrange two sets of oscillators and detectors. For example, as shown in FIG. It may be used by branching using a vessel. In FIG. 3, the oscillating
FIG. 4 shows a calculation flow in the case of the configuration shown in FIG. First, the
With the configuration shown in FIG. 3, the number of oscillation units and detectors can be reduced as compared with the configuration shown in FIG. 1, and a PM concentration measuring device can be configured at low cost.
In addition, it is also possible to measure the received light amounts I 1 and I 2 and calculate the PM concentration by alternately measuring the exhaust upstream side and the exhaust downstream side of the filter with a drive unit.
In this embodiment, electromagnetic waves of two different wavelengths are used, and the results of measuring the emission intensity and the transmission intensity of each are used to receive only absorption due to PM from which the influence of environmental conditions such as moisture and temperature has been eliminated. Makes it possible to get rates. Details will be described below.
Here, the electromagnetic wave is a frequency that passes through the non-hydrogen bonding substance and is easily absorbed by the carbon component of the exhaust gas particulate component and the organic solvent component, for example, a terahertz wave band of 0.3 THz to 3.0 THz, As will be described, the frequency is not limited to the frequency as long as the frequency is sensitive to PM or the like, and any frequency may be used.

In order to effectively cancel unnecessary components in the present embodiment, the first
Next, the concept of measurement using the apparatus having the configuration shown in FIG. 5 will be described.
数1で表すように、全体の透過率I(λ)/ I0(λ)は、Trid(λ)とTrpm(λ)とTrgas(λ)の3つの透過率要素の積と見なすことができる。
Both the right side and the left side of Equation 4 represent the overall transmittance of the electromagnetic wave having the wavelength λ from the
Tr id (λ) represents the transmittance of the fixed part unique to the device, and is caused by solid objects (exhaust filter, etc.) excluding PM among the
Regarding Tr pm (λ) and Tr gas (λ), the relationship of
In Equation 5, ε gas (λ) and ε pm (λ) represent the extinction coefficients of the gas and PM in the contents with respect to the electromagnetic wave having the wavelength λ. C gas and C pm represent the concentration of gas and pm in the contents. L represents the propagation distance of the electromagnetic wave in the measurement space. C gas , C pm and L do not depend on the wavelength of the electromagnetic wave and are common. On the other hand, ε gas (λ) and ε pm (λ) depend on the component ratio of the gas and PM in the contents in addition to the wavelength, and always vary according to the operating state of the apparatus.
Therefore, for the wavelength of the first
That is, the ratio of the extinction coefficient of the PM at the wavelength lambda 2 with respect to the wavelength lambda 1 extinction coefficient of PM epsilon in PM (λ 1) ε PM ( λ 2) is placed a constant value regardless of the component ratio of PM (the value α ). At the same time, the ratio of the gas absorption coefficient ε gas (λ 2 ) at the wavelength λ 2 to the gas absorption coefficient ε gas (λ 1 ) at the wavelength λ 1 is set to a constant value (value is β) regardless of the gas component ratio. ). Α and β are different values. For example, for each of the major components that affect PM permeability (for example, carbon, hydrocarbons, sulfate, etc.), the value of the extinction coefficient for λ 1 and λ 2 is uniformly α, while at the same time affecting the gas permeability. For each of the main components to be given (for example, water vapor, carbon dioxide, etc.), such a constraint condition is satisfied if the wavelengths λ 1 and λ 2 are selected so that the ratio of the extinction coefficient to λ 1 and λ 2 is uniformly β. be able to. In the following description, it is assumed that the transmittance component Tr pm (λ 1 ) due to the absorption due to PM at the wavelength λ 1 of the two electromagnetic waves is used as an index for PM amount detection.
Based on the relationships of
α and β are parameters determined when the wavelengths λ 1 and λ 2 are determined before measurement. Tr id (λ 1 ) and Tr id (λ 2 ) are transmittances of fixed parts specific to the device for electromagnetic waves of wavelengths λ 1 and λ 2 respectively, and are obtained in advance before measurement (for example, at the time of shipment). It is a parameter to keep. Therefore, according to Equation 4, in addition to the parameters determined before the measurement, the emission intensities I0 (λ 1 ), I0 (λ 2 ) detected by the first emission intensity monitor 506 and the second emission intensity monitor 507 and the first If I (λ 1 ), I (λ 2 ) corresponding to the transmission intensity detected by one transmission intensity detector 511 and the second
In order to measure the amount of PM from the transmittance, it is necessary that the electromagnetic wave is appropriately absorbed by the PM. Since PM absorbs moderately with respect to electromagnetic waves in the range of several tens of GHz to several THz, the wavelength of electromagnetic waves for obtaining the transmittance of PM among the first
The procedure for obtaining the transmittance component Tr pm (λ 1 ) derived from PM by applying the relationship of Equation 7 with the apparatus having the above-described configuration shown in FIG. 5 will be described with reference to FIG. Prior to the processing of FIG. 6, for the two electromagnetic waves (first
In FIG. 6, SP601 is a step of starting emission of the first
In SP601, the first
In SP603, for the first
In SP604, the four signals started to be output in SP603 are sampled by the
In SP605, four signals according to the output intensity I0 (λ 1 ), I0 (λ 2 ), transmission intensity I (λ 1 ), I (λ 2 ) sampled in SP604, PM and SP given in SP602 Using the gas absorption coefficient ratios α and β and the device-specific fixed part transmittances Tr id (λ 1 ) and Tr id (λ 2 ) The transmittance information Tr pm (λ 1 ) of the component due to PM is obtained. In calculating the value of Tr pm (λ 1 ), the influence of the concentration of gas components and fluctuations in the components that cause errors in the transmittance measurement is eliminated, and the correlation with the actual PM abundance is improved. . As a result, the PM abundance can be accurately estimated by Tr pm (λ 1 ).
The above-described apparatus of FIG. 5 and the measurement method of FIG. 6 are used to eliminate the influence of environmental conditions such as moisture and temperature from the results of measuring the emission intensity and transmission intensity of two different wavelengths. As a result, it is possible to obtain an effect of obtaining a transmittance that receives only absorption due to PM. By using this value, it is possible to accurately estimate the PM abundance.

Here, the electromagnetic wave is a frequency that passes through the non-hydrogen bonding substance and is easily absorbed by the carbon component and the organic solvent component of the exhaust gas particulate component, for example, using a terahertz wave band of 0.3 THz to 3.0 THz. Although the PM detection configuration will be described, the frequency is not limited to the frequency as long as the frequency is sensitive to PM, and any frequency may be used.

FIG. 8 shows a cross-sectional view of the
On the other hand, since the electromagnetic wave in the terahertz band has a property of being absorbed by moisture in the air, the measurement result of PM varies due to the influence of the humidity in the pipe. In addition, because the PM density measurement result drifts due to the influence of the temperature in the pipe, it is necessary to detect the PM content by the electromagnetic wave transmission method in the terahertz band that excludes these external factors of humidity and temperature. .
Therefore, it is necessary to detect the PM content that is not affected by external factors (for example, humidity and temperature). FIG. 9 shows the characteristics of the electromagnetic wave transmittance with respect to the PM content. As the PM content increases, the electromagnetic wave is absorbed by the PM and does not reach the detector, and the transmittance decreases. Here, the same characteristics of two humidity environments and humidity A ≧ humidity B are shown. High humidity (humidity A) indicates a characteristic that the transmittance is uniformly reduced as compared with humidity B. This shows the characteristic that the transmittance is drifted down by the amount of electromagnetic waves absorbed by moisture.
Next, FIG. 10 shows transmittance characteristics with respect to humidity in air that does not contain PM.
The transmittance decreases as the humidity increases. In order to cancel the influence of the humidity, in the PM content measurement of the
Since the humidity and temperature inside the

In the present embodiment, the substantially parallel electromagnetic wave emitted from the
Here, the
At this time, by detecting the signal of the
In the present embodiment, the moisture detection after passing through the filter has the same configuration as that of the first embodiment. However, the present invention is not limited to this, and the position of the electromagnetic wave incident on the engine pipe is determined using a galvano mirror as in the engine side. It may be changed. In this embodiment, the configuration of the first embodiment is used. However, the configuration is not limited to this, and the configurations of the second and third embodiments may be used. Furthermore, in the present embodiment, the PM unit is disposed in the engine unit for the purpose of measuring PM accumulated on the filter. However, for example, the PM unit may be disposed in the exhaust unit of the vehicle. In this case, for example, a filter may be mounted on the PM detection device, and the measurement system may be configured before and after as shown in FIG.
Furthermore, in this embodiment, the electromagnetic wave transmitted through the engine piping is incident on the
This correction optical control means will be described below. In order to correct the positional deviation at the detector, the optical axis from the
Next, the
The electromagnetic wave reflected from the
In the case of FIG. 13A, since the
