一般に遮断器の端子部において、台金にはねじ穴が設けられるが、遮断器全体のコンパクト化、軽量化のために端子板の板厚を薄くしようとすると、上記ねじ穴の内面に形成するねじ山の数が十分に確保できなくなる。そこで、台金をバーリング加工してねじ山を確保する手法を用いることがある。
しかしながら、バーリング部分にはある程度のスペースを要するため、端子部のサイズが小さいと台金にバーリング加工を行うことが困難であるという問題があった。
このような問題に対して、例えば端子板の裏面側にナットを配置し、当該ナットにねじを挿通することにより圧着端子を接続する構造を採用する場合がある。
しかしながら、上記のとおりねじ止めに十分なねじ山を有するナットを配置するためには、ナットの高さの分だけ端子部構造にスペースが必要となり、コンパクト化が困難となるという新たな問題があった。
そこで、本発明は、端子板の板厚が薄くなった場合であっても、簡単な構成によって端子部にねじを取り付けるためのねじ山を十分に確保できる端子部構造を提供する。

なお、図3においては、上面視四角形の場合を示したが、上述のとおりねじ締結の際の回り止めの機能を果たすものであれば任意の多角形のものとしても良い。
また、図4及び図5に示した突出部25の形状についても、回り止めとしての機能を果たすものであれば、断面三角形、断面四角形、断面半円形等の任意の形状としても良い。
