Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to an electrode member for a touch panel, a touch panel using the same, an image display device using the touch panel, and a multi-faceted intermediate of the position detection electrode member for the touch panel.
In recent years, the use of a touch panel (also called a touch screen or a touch screen) in which a display device and a position input device are combined has been actively used. Various types of position input devices such as a matrix switch method, an electric resistance film method, a surface acoustic wave method, an infrared method, an electromagnetic induction method, and a capacitance method have been put into practical use. In particular, the touch panel combined with the projected capacitive position input device, which is one of the electrostatic capacity methods, is capable of multi-touch (multi-point simultaneous input), and can be operated intuitively with the fingertips. It has been widely used in mobile phones and mobile terminals due to its excellent performance.
The projected capacitive touch panel requires a touch panel position detection electrode member in which a plurality of sensor electrode patterns each having two layers running in the vertical and horizontal directions are arranged on a transparent insulating substrate such as glass or plastic. .
When such a touch panel position detection electrode member is formed by providing a plurality of sensor electrodes that run in the vertical direction on each side of the transparent substrate and a plurality of sensor electrodes that run in the horizontal direction, In some cases, a transparent substrate provided with a plurality of sensor electrodes and a transparent substrate provided with a plurality of sensor electrodes running in the lateral direction are bonded together.
In any case,
In this case, the manufacturer supplying the detection electrode member for the touch panel with the purpose of protecting the electrode from a visual appearance defect in which the electrode is damaged or scratched due to rubbing, etc. Shipped with a peelable protective film with adhesive attached. Thereafter, in a manufacturer that manufactures a touch panel or the like by combining a position input device including a detection electrode member for a touch panel and a display device, etc., after the protective film with the adhesive is peeled off in the manufacturing process, the detection electrode member for the touch panel A touch panel is manufactured by combining a display device and the like.
On the other hand, when the electrode member for touch panel and the protective film with adhesive are peeled off, the touch electrode detection electrode member breaks, the electrode floats or peels off, and the wire breakage occurs, resulting in a decrease in the yield and reliability of the touch panel. It was found. The detection electrode member for touch panel breaks, the electrode floats and peels, and the wire breakage occurs, the area where the material forming the electrode and the transparent substrate surface are mixed, the electrode is not formed, and the transparent substrate surface is widely exposed. It has been found that this is due to the large difference in the adhesive strength of the protective film with adhesive between the two areas.
The object of the present invention is to provide a touch panel position detection electrode member having a small difference in adhesive force between the protective films with an adhesive between the two regions, so that the yield and reliability of the touch panel can be increased. It aims at supplying a detection electrode member.
In view of the above situation, earnest research and development is proceeding, and claim 1 of the present invention is a position detection electrode member for a touch panel in which a position detection electrode is provided on at least one surface of a transparent substrate. It is the position detection electrode member for touchscreens characterized by these.

In addition, according to a fourth aspect of the present invention, in the multi-faceted intermediate of the touch panel position detection electrode member in which one or more touch panel position detection electrode members are arranged on at least one surface of the transparent substrate, the position The position detection is performed in a blank area that is the same surface as the detection electrode, is an outer periphery of the position detection electrode, and is not formed with an electrode including the position detection electrode, and an area around the position detection electrode member. A multi-faceted intermediate of a position detection electrode member for a touch panel, comprising an adhesion prevention pattern made of the same material as a conductive material constituting an electrode.
In addition, claim 5 of the present invention further has a cut line on the same surface as the position detection electrode, and the adhesion preventing pattern is not formed in the cut line portion and its vicinity. It is the multi-faced intermediate body of the position detection electrode material for touchscreens of
According to the present invention, without adding a new process, adhesion between a region where the position detection electrode of the position detection electrode member for touch panel is formed and a region where no electrode is formed (margin region). By uniforming the adhesive strength with the protective film with adhesive, the yield of touch panels and the reliability are improved by reducing the breakage of the detection electrode member for touch panel, the lifting and peeling of electrodes, and disconnection when the protective film is peeled off. There is an effect.
Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the drawings. Note that the present invention is not limited to the following embodiments, and can be implemented with appropriate modifications within the scope of the object of the present invention. Note that the drawings are conceptual diagrams, and the scale relations, aspect ratios, and the like of components may be exaggerated as appropriate for convenience of explanation. Further, in the present specification, the position detection electrode, the extraction electrode, and the alignment mark for the position detection electrode of the position detection electrode member for touch panel, which is the main part of the present invention, are described and illustrated as necessary for explanation. In addition, in the actual product, in addition to this, a dummy electrode, a terminal electrode part, an alignment mark used other than the bonding of the first substrate and the second substrate, a wiring part for electrically connecting the detection electrode and the terminal electrode part, etc. Is often provided as necessary.
The “sheet surface” means a surface that coincides with the planar direction when the sheet-like touch panel position
The “planar shape” means a shape in a plane parallel to the “sheet surface”. In other words, the “planar shape” means a shape viewed from the direction of the normal line set up on the “sheet surface” (Z (axis) direction in FIG. 1).
The terms “sheet”, “film”, and “plate” are not distinguished from each other based solely on the difference in designation. Therefore, for example, the “plate” is a concept including a member called a film or a sheet.
<Position detection electrode member for touch panel>
As shown in FIG. 1, the position
In the present invention, the term “electrode” is used as a generic term including various electrodes such as the
By setting it as such a position
In the present embodiment, the electrode formation surface of the touch panel position
As shown in FIG. 1, the
More specifically, the
In that sense, the
On the other hand, the
In general, the
In the conventional touch panel position
In any of the
In the touch panel position
Therefore, when the
That is, as shown in FIG. 2, in the conventional touch panel position
On the other hand, in the
For this reason, the force required when peeling the
In the present embodiment, as shown in FIG. 1, the conductive material constituting the
[Transparent substrate]
The
The
Examples of the material of the
Re=(nx−ny)×d

(2) As disclosed in Japanese Patent No. 3947950, Japanese Patent No. 4888853, etc., the in-plane retardation value Re is sufficiently larger than that of a normal biaxially stretched polyethylene terephthalate sheet, specifically,

On the other hand, these highly conductive metals have a light shielding property against visible light. Therefore, the first
The advantage of using a highly conductive metal is that the
The conductor mesh may have a regular mesh pattern in which the shapes of the respective opening regions are all congruent polygons and the opening regions are arranged at a constant period. As the shape of the opening region, a triangle, a quadrangle (square, rectangle, rhombus, etc.), a pentagon, a hexagon, or the like can be adopted. A mesh pattern having a triangular opening area is referred to as a triangular lattice (also referred to when the opening area is a quadrangular shape or the like).
Or you may have an irregular mesh pattern in which the period of an opening area | region is not constant. As an irregular mesh pattern, for example, as disclosed in JP 2013-69261 A, conductive thin lines are formed from Voronoi figures generated from specific randomly arranged generating points in a plane, and the shape of each open area In addition, a mesh pattern in which the area is not the same and the arrangement period of the opening regions is not constant, and each lattice point of the square lattice is an increment in the range of 10 to 50% of the square lattice period as disclosed in JP-A-4-21739. A mesh pattern randomly displaced can be listed.
The first
In addition, the first
As the blackening layer, various known layers can be used. The conductive metal layer may be partially darkened to form a darkened layer (also referred to as a blackened layer) made of a metal oxide or metal sulfide from a part of the conductive metal layer. Moreover, you may make it provide a darkening layer on a conductive metal layer like the coating film of a dark color material, plating layers, such as nickel and chromium. Note that the darkened layer used here includes not only the darkened layer but also a roughened layer. As the dark color, a low-lightness achromatic or chromatic color, for example, black or dark gray, dark blue, brown, rosy, dark green, or the like is selected, and a known material and processing method are selected according to the type of dark color. .
If the first
The first
The line width of the thin conductive wires that make up the conductive mesh is sufficient for detecting the touch position, taking into account the electrical resistivity and film thickness of the conductive mesh material, the size of the touch panel, and the distance at which the touch panel is viewed. It may be designed so as to obtain value and invisibility. In general, in a large touch panel, the length of the first
In consideration of the above points, the line width and the opening area ratio of the conductor mesh constituting the first
The opening area ratio means the ratio of the total area of the opening area to the total area of the conductor mesh formation area. In view of the trade-off between the conductivity required for the position detection electrode and the invisibility of the mesh pattern, the opening area ratio is 90 to 99%, preferably 95 to 98% when the line width of the conductive thin wire is in the above range. Range.

In the case of forming by a printing method using a conductive paste containing metal powder and a binder resin, a thermosetting resin, an ionizing radiation curable resin, a thermoplastic resin, or the like can be used as the binder resin. Among these, acrylate-based ionizing radiation curable resins are one kind of preferred resins because they are rapidly cured by crosslinking or polymerization reaction by irradiation with ionizing radiation such as ultraviolet rays and electron beams, and are excellent in the strength of the conductor mesh.

[Adhesion prevention pattern]
In this embodiment, the
The
Therefore, it is preferable that the
12 to 17 are enlarged views of the position detection electrode pattern described in (a) and the adhesion prevention pattern combined with the position detection electrode pattern described in (b). The combination of prevention patterns is illustrated. The
For example, FIG. 12 illustrates a case where the pattern of the
Further, the

FIG. 17 shows another pattern in which the pattern of the

[Position detection mark]
In the present embodiment, the touch panel position

<Touch panel>
The touch panel according to the present invention is an input device including the touch panel position
The multi-sided
As shown in FIG. 8, the surface-type capacitive touch panel is first on one side of a position
The basic configuration of the capacitive touch panel has been described above, but in addition to the above-described components, a protective layer made of a connector, a protective glass plate, a resin coating film, or the like provided according to product specifications is known. A member may be included.

[Addition of coloring filter]
The touch panel according to the present invention may include the colored filter as a constituent layer in order to make the flicker less conspicuous when fine flicker occurs in the image when the touch panel is installed on the display surface side of the display panel.
[Addition of anti-reflection treatment]
An antireflection treatment can be applied to the image observer side surface, the display panel side surface, or both the image observer side surface and the display panel side surface of the touch panel comprising the touch panel position
(1) An antireflection layer comprising a single layer of a low refractive index layer or a multilayer structure in which a low refractive index layer and a high refractive index layer are alternately laminated so that the low refractive index layer is positioned at the uppermost layer. Silicon oxide, magnesium fluoride, fluorine-containing resin or the like is used for the low refractive index layer, and titanium oxide, zinc sulfide, zirconium oxide, niobium oxide or the like is used for the high refractive index layer. Here, the high (low) refractive index layer means that the refractive index of the layer is relatively high compared to a layer adjacent to the layer (for example, a base material or a low (high) refractive index layer) ( Means low).
(2) A process of roughening the outermost surface on which light is incident in order to scatter or diffuse extraneous light. In this roughening treatment, a method of forming a rough surface directly on the surface of the substrate by sandblasting or embossing, etc. to roughen the surface; a resin binder cured on the surface of the substrate by either radiation, heat, or a combination thereof A method of providing a roughened layer with a coating film containing organic particles such as inorganic particles made of silica or the like as light diffusing particles and resin particles made of polystyrene or the like; Examples thereof include a method for forming a film. As the resin of the resin binder, a thermosetting or ionizing radiation curable acrylic resin, polyester resin, epoxy resin, urethane resin, or the like is preferably used because the surface strength is desired as the surface layer.
(3) As disclosed in Japanese Patent No. 4406553, Japanese Patent No. 4265729, Japanese Patent No. 4632589, and the like, the surface includes a group of minute protrusions arranged so that the distance between adjacent protrusions is less than the shortest wavelength in the visible light wavelength band. Processing to form a micro uneven structure. The microprotrusions are shaped so that the cross-sectional area at a virtual cut surface perpendicular to the thickness direction decreases as it goes to the outside (adjacent air side). Such a fine concavo-convex structure continuously changes the refractive index of the surface portion with respect to incident light in the thickness direction from the refractive index of the material constituting the microprotrusions toward the refractive index of the external medium (usually air). To function. This can reduce light reflection caused by the refractive index discontinuity at the interface between the object and the external medium.

<Image display device with touch panel>
The image display apparatus according to the present invention is an image display apparatus having a configuration in which the above-described touch panel is disposed on the display surface side of the display panel. In addition, the capacitive touch panel image display device can be formed by providing a transparent adhesive layer on one side of the touch panel and pasting it on an image display screen such as a display. It is also possible to simply arrange them. Moreover, a transparent adhesive layer may be formed on the entire surface, or a non-transparent adhesive may be formed with the portion requiring transparency as an opening. In addition, when providing a transparent adhesive layer, until it adheres a capacitive touch panel to a display screen, generation | occurrence | production of foreign materials, such as dust, can be suppressed by making it coat | cover with a peeling sheet.
In addition, there are various methods for obtaining terminal electrodes in a display device provided with a capacitive touch panel, but all known ones are applicable to the present invention. Further, the exposed surface of the position detection electrode can be used as a terminal electrode.
The image display device is a device having a configuration including at least a display panel and the touch panel of the present invention disposed on a light exit surface (screen) of the display panel. The display panel may be a liquid crystal display panel, a plasma display panel, an EL (electroluminescence) panel, various display panels such as electronic paper, or a cathode ray tube.
The image display apparatus using the touch panel according to the present embodiment can detect the touch position with high sensitivity even in a large application of several tens of inches or more such as an electronic blackboard. Furthermore, it is extremely difficult to visually recognize the position detection electrode regardless of whether the display screen is turned on or off, and further, a gray pattern derived from the position detection electrode is not visually recognized. An image display device using the touch panel of the present invention utilizing the display function of the display panel can be realized. Furthermore, by using the touch panel position detection electrode member of the present embodiment, an image display apparatus using a touch panel with a low defect rate and high reliability can be realized.
