Abstract
【解決手段】外科手術中に生体感覚誘発電位監視を実施するためのシステム10であって、患者の末梢神経に電気刺激信号を送達するよう構成される刺激装置と、前記刺激信号によって誘発される体性感覚応答を検出するよう構成される少なくとも1つのセンサと、前記刺激装置および前記センサと通信状態にある制御ユニット12であり、前記刺激信号の伝送を指示し、前記センサから、前記誘発された体性感覚応答データを受信し、前記誘発された体性感覚応答データに基づき前記刺激信号の信号パラメータを最適化し、第1の刺激信号に対する前記体性感覚応答と第2の刺激信号に対する後続の体性感覚応答との間の関係を識別することによって、脊髄の健康状態を評価し、前記評価をユーザに通信する、ように構成される制御ユニット12と、を備えるシステム。

Description
本願は、名称「Neurophysiologic Monitoring System」で、2008年10月14日に出願された、共同所有され、かつ同時係属の米国特許仮出願第61/196,264号の優先権の利益を主張する国際特許出願であり、その全体の内容は、参照することによって、その全体が本明細書に記載されるかのように本開示に明確に組み込まれる。
本発明は、概して外科手術を目的とする、システムおよび方法に関する。より具体的には、本発明は、神経生理学的記録の使用を伴う、外科的処置および評価を実施するためのシステムならびに関連方法を対象とする。
さらに別の広範の態様によると、本発明は、器具および処理システムを含む。器具は、処理ユニットと通信状態にある。器具は、外科手術標的部位に前進することができ、該標的部位に前進している間、および該標的部位に到達している間のうちの少なくとも1つで、刺激信号を送達するように構成される。処理ユニットは、該器具を使用して、静的肉茎完全性試験、動的肉茎完全性試験、神経近接検出、神経筋経路評価、手動運動誘発電位監視、自動運動誘発電位監視、手動体性感覚誘発電位監視、自動体性感覚誘発電位監視、非誘発監視、および外科手術ナビゲーションのうちの少なくとも2つを含む、複数の既定の機能を実施するようにプログラムされる。処理システムは、該少なくとも1つの既定の機能の開始を容易にするために、該既定の機能のうちの少なくとも1つのための事前に確立されたプロファイルを有する。
Claims (1)
- 外科手術中に体性感覚誘発電位監視を実施するためのシステムであって、
患者の末梢神経に電気刺激信号を送達するように構成される刺激装置と、
前記電気刺激信号によって誘発される体性感覚応答を検出するように構成される少なくとも1つのセンサと、
前記刺激装置および前記センサと通信状態にある制御ユニットであり、
(a)前記刺激信号の伝送を指示し、
(b)前記センサから、前記誘発された体性感覚応答データを受信し、
(c)前記誘発された体性感覚応答データに基づき前記刺激信号の信号パラメータを最適化し、
(d)第1の刺激信号に対する前記体性感覚応答と第2の刺激信号に対する後続の体性感覚応答との間の関係を識別することによって、脊髄の健康状態を評価し、
(e)前記評価をユーザに通信する、
ように構成される制御ユニットと、
を備えるシステム。
