Description

The present invention relates to a card connector, and more particularly to a card connector provided with a normally closed card detection switch.

In recent years, various electronic devices are often equipped with a card connector which is a connector for connecting to a card-type recording medium (hereinafter referred to as a card) capable of recording and reading electronic data. Some card connectors include a card detection switch for detecting whether or not a card is inserted. Such a card detection switch includes a movable contact member and a fixed contact member. When the card is not inserted, the movable contact member and the fixed contact member come into contact with each other, and when the card is inserted, the movable contact member and the fixed contact member are fixed. There is a normally closed type card detection switch that detects insertion of a card by separating the contact member. As a card connector provided with such a normally-closed card detection switch, a card connector described in Patent Document 1 below is known.

Hereinafter, the card connector 900 described in Patent Document 1 will be described with reference to FIG. 16 is a view showing a detection switch 910 provided in the card connector 100 described in Patent Document 1, FIG. 16A is a perspective view showing an appearance of the detection switch 910, and FIG. It is a top view which shows the detection switch 910 of the state seen from the Y2 direction side shown to a).

The card connector 900 described in Patent Document 1 includes a detection switch 910 that is a card detection switch. The detection switch 910 includes an insulating lever 911 that is directly pressed and rotated by a card, a torsion spring 914 having a coil portion 914a in which a metal wire rod that urges the lever 911 in an initial posture is wound in a cylindrical shape, The movable conductive portion 915 integral with the torsion spring 914 that rotates integrally with the lever 911 and slidably contacts the bottom portion 903a of the housing main body 903, and rises with respect to the bottom portion 903a at the front end of the housing 902 via the torsion spring 914. A first fixed conductive portion 916 that is always in conduction with the movable conductive portion 915, and second fixed conductive portions 917A and 917B and an insulating portion 918 on the bottom portion 903a side within the rotation range of the movable conductive portion 915. The movable conductive portion 915 rotates in the insertion direction integrally with the lever 911 and sequentially contacts the second fixed conductive portion 917A, the insulating portion 918, and the second fixed conductive portion 917B. When the lever 911 is rotated as the card is inserted, the electrically conductive state of the movable conductive portion 915 is switched by the movable conductive portion 915 changing the contact location in conjunction with the rotation of the lever 911. In this way, by switching the electrical connection state of the movable conductive portion 915, it is possible to detect the card insertion state and function as a card detection switch.

In a card detection switch having a structure, it is required to obtain stable conduction. In order to obtain stable conduction, it is often the case that the amount of bending of the contact member on the movable side is increased, and even when an impact is applied, it is absorbed by the bending. However, in the detection switch 910 of the card connector 900 described in Patent Document 1, since the movable conductive portion 915 and the torsion spring 914 are integrated, the torsion spring 914 does not move even if the amount of bending of the movable conductive portion 915 is increased. There was a problem that it was difficult to obtain sufficient inclination and contact pressure. This is because the torsion spring 914 is held by inserting the shaft portion 911c of the lever 911 through the coil portion 914a and is inclined by the gap between the coil portion 914a and the shaft portion 911c. Even if the gap between the coil portion 914a and the shaft portion 911c is eliminated, there is a concern that the movement of the lever 911 becomes worse because a force for tilting the shaft portion 911c is applied. Moreover, there is a concern that the structure becomes complicated in order to prevent the shaft portion 911c from being inclined.

The present invention solves the above-described problems and provides a card connector including a card detection switch that has a simple structure and can obtain stable conduction.

In the card connector according to claim 1, a housing having a storage space in which a card having a signal contact portion can be stored, a terminal capable of contacting the signal contact portion, and a first contact member capable of contacting and separating. A detection switch portion having a second contact member, wherein the first contact member is in contact with the first contact member when the card is not inserted. Is elastically deformable along a virtual plane parallel to the insertion direction of the card and is disposed so as to protrude into the storage space, and the first contact member moves as the card is inserted. A card connector in which the first contact member and the second contact member are separated from each other, and the second contact member can be elastically deformed in a direction intersecting the virtual plane so as to elastically contact the first contact member. In Is lifting, has the feature that.

3. The card connector according to claim 2, wherein, when the card is not inserted, the second contact member protrudes into the storage space and elastically contacts the first contact member, and the card is inserted. Then, the second contact member is in contact with the card and is bent downward.

The card connector according to claim 3, wherein the second contact member is arranged so as to contact a position of the card avoiding the signal contact portion in a state where the card is inserted. Have

5. The card connector according to claim 4, wherein the second contact point is brought into contact with the ground contact part in a state where the card having the ground contact part is inserted at a position avoiding the signal contact part. The member has the characteristic of being arranged.

According to the invention of claim 1, the first contact member is elastically deformed only in the direction along the virtual plane, and the second contact member is elastically deformed only in the direction intersecting the virtual plane. That is, the first contact member and the second contact member are each elastically deformed only in one direction. Therefore, for example, the first contact member and the second contact member can be formed into a leaf spring shape, and can be easily formed. In addition, the detection switch unit is configured by using the first contact member that can be elastically deformed along the first plane and the second contact member that can be elastically deformed in a direction intersecting the first plane. Even if the amount of deflection is increased in order to obtain a stable contact between the contact member and the second contact member, a simple structure can be achieved without hindering the operation of the first contact member and the second contact member. Therefore, it is possible to provide a card connector including a card detection switch that has a simple structure and can obtain stable conduction.

According to the second aspect of the present invention, the second contact member is configured to be in contact with the card and bend downward so that the free height of the second contact member can be stably connected to the first contact member. Even if it is set to the required height, it does not affect the card insertion and removal. Further, even if the amount of bending of the second contact member is increased, there is no need to increase the height dimension of the card connector. Therefore, it is possible to provide a thin card connector provided with a card detection switch capable of obtaining stable conduction.

According to the invention of claim 3, by arranging the second contact member so as to contact the position avoiding the signal contact portion, even if the second contact member contacts the card, the signal transmission is not affected. The effect that it can be made.

According to the fourth aspect of the present invention, even if the position or area of the resin portion other than the signal contact portion is inconvenient for contacting the second contact member, the second contact so as to contact the ground contact portion. By arranging the members, there is an effect that even if the second contact member contacts the card, the signal transmission can be prevented from being affected.

As described above, according to the present invention, it is possible to provide a card connector including a card detection switch that has a simple structure and can obtain stable conduction.

Further, the slider 7 is disposed in the slider storage portion 1f of the case 1 so that the abutting portion 7e protrudes from the card storage portion 1e of the case 1 and is on the back side in the insertion direction (Y1 direction side). At this time, the urging member 8 is sandwiched between the slider 7 and the side wall on the back side in the insertion direction of the slider storage portion 1f, urges the slider 7 toward the front side in the insertion direction (Y2 direction side), and contacts the regulation wall 1c. I am letting. The slider 7 is slidable in the insertion direction (Y1-Y2 direction) against the urging force of the urging member 8. Further, since the contact portion 7 e is arranged at a position higher than the tip portion of the terminal 3, the slider 7 can be slid and moved without the contact portion 7 e contacting the terminal 3. The latch pin 6 is disposed in a state where one pin portion 6 b is inserted into the pin hole 1 h of the case 1 and the other pin portion 6 b is inserted into the heart cam portion 7 b (linear portion 7 c) of the slider 7. The latch pin 6 is disposed so as to be swingable with a pin portion 6b inserted into the pin hole 1h as a fulcrum. The first contact member 4 is arranged in a state where the fixing portion 4c of the leaf spring member 4a is inserted into the contact member arrangement portion 1p. The first contact member 4 is arranged such that the first contact portion 4f, the upper portion of which is covered by the contact member 4b, protrudes into the card storage portion 1e which is a part of the storage space 10a, and the connection terminal portion 4e. Protrudes outward from the case 1.

Further, as shown in FIG. 12, the first contact member 4 disposed so that the first contact portion 4f protrudes into the card storage portion 1e, and the second contact member formed to protrude from the card storage portion 1e. 5 is arranged so that the first contact portion 4f and the second contact portion 5a are in contact with each other. The second contact member 5 in contact with the first contact member 4 bends downward (Z2 direction) and elastically contacts the first contact member 4. The spring portion 4d including the first contact portion 4f protruding into the card storage portion 1e can be elastically deformed along a virtual plane VF (internal bottom surface 1m) parallel to the insertion direction of the card CA. Therefore, the detection switch part 50 which has the 1st contact member 4 and the 2nd contact member 5 which can contact / separate is formed, external connection terminal t4 (1g, refer FIG. 11) and connection terminal part 4e (refer FIG. 11). It becomes possible to confirm the conduction state of the detection switch unit 50 via the.

In this way, the cover 2 is arranged above the case 1 in which the respective components are arranged so as to cover the card storage portion 1e and the slider storage portion 1f. By locking the cover 2 to the case 1, the housing 10 including the storage space 10 a and the insertion port 10 b is formed, and the card connector 100 is formed. The card connector 100 formed in this way can insert the card CA from the insertion slot 10b and can store the card CA in the storage space 10a.

Next, the operation of the card connector 100 will be described with reference to FIGS.
FIG. 13 is a plan view showing the card connector 100 in a state where the card CA is being inserted in the first embodiment. FIG. 14 is a plan view showing the card connector 100 in a state in which the card CA is stored in the first embodiment. FIG. 15 is a view showing the positional relationship between the first contact member 4 and the second contact member 5 when the card CA is stored in the first embodiment, and FIG. FIG. 15B is a sectional view showing a section FF shown in FIG. In addition, illustration of the cover 2 is abbreviate | omitted in Fig.15 (a).

When the card CA is not inserted, the card connector 100 is held in a state where the slider 7 is in contact with the regulating wall 1c, as shown in FIG. 12, and the detection switch unit 50 includes the first contact member 4 and the second contact member 5. Are in contact with each other, and electrical continuity is obtained. Such a state is set as an initial state.

When the card CA is inserted into the card connector 100 from the insertion slot 10b (see FIG. 11), a part of the card CA comes into contact with the contact portion 7e of the slider 7 as shown in FIG. The card CA further moves to the back side in the insertion direction together with the slider 7 against the biasing member 8, and the other end side of the card CA contacts the contact portion 4 g (contact surface 4 h) of the first contact member 4. The pin portion 6b of the latch pin 6 inserted into the straight portion 7c (heart cam portion 7b) moves along the straight portion 7c in accordance with the sliding movement of the slider 7.

In a state where the card CA is further inserted into the storage space 10a, as shown in FIG. 14, the card CA moves the slider 7 further to the back, and the first contact member 4 is moved to the inner bottom surface 1m ( 11) and bends and moves laterally (X2 direction). Further, the pin portion 6b of the latch pin 6 inserted into the straight portion 7c (heart cam portion 7b) moves along the straight portion 7c and the annular portion 7d in accordance with the sliding movement of the slider 7, and the biasing member 8 is attached. The slider 7 is locked at a position where the slider 7 can be held against the force. In addition, as the 1st contact member 4 bends and moves to the side, as shown in FIG. 15, while the 1st contact member 4 and the 2nd contact member 5 space apart, the 2nd contact member 5 moves to card | curd CA. It abuts and bends downwards to elastically contact the card CA. The second contact member 5 is disposed so as to contact a position avoiding the signal contact portion ST of the card CA. Thus, when the first contact member 4 and the second contact member 5 are separated from each other, the conduction state of the detection switch unit 50 is switched, and it can be detected that the card CA is inserted. Further, the signal contact portion ST included in the card CA contacts the terminal 3, and electronic data and the like can be transmitted and received between the card CA and the electronic device on which the card CA is mounted via the card connector 100.

When the card CA is pushed in again from the state in which the slider 7 is locked, the pin portion 6b of the latch pin 6 that has been locked moves along the annular portion 7d, the slider 7 is unlocked, and returns to the initial state. At the same time, the card CA is discharged. As the card CA is ejected, the first contact portion 4f of the first contact member 4 moves into the storage space 10a, contacts the second contact member 5, and bends the second contact member 5 downward. The first contact member 4 and the second contact member 5 are elastically contacted. Thus, by returning to the initial state, it is possible to detect that the conduction state of the detection switch unit 50 is switched and the card CA is ejected.

Hereinafter, the effect by having set it as this embodiment is demonstrated.

In the card connector 100 of the present embodiment, a housing 10 having a storage space 10a in which a card CA having a signal contact portion ST can be stored, a terminal 3 that can contact the signal contact portion ST, and a first contactable / separable first. A detection switch unit 50 having a contact member 4 and a second contact member 5. The detection switch unit 50 is in contact with the first contact member 4 and the second contact member 5 when the card CA is not inserted. The first contact member 4 is elastically deformable along a virtual plane VF parallel to the insertion direction of the card CA, and is disposed so as to protrude into the storage space 10a. A card connector in which the first contact member 4 moves and the first contact member 4 and the second contact member 5 are separated, and the second contact member 5 is elastically contacted with the first contact member 4 in a virtual plane VF. Exchanged against And it is elastically deformable supporting direction, and a configuration.

Accordingly, the first contact member 4 is elastically deformed only in the direction along the inner bottom surface 1m of the case 1 parallel to the virtual plane VF, and the second contact member 5 intersects the inner bottom surface 1m (virtual plane VF). Elastic deformation was made only in the direction. That is, the first contact member 4 and the second contact member 5 are each elastically deformed only in one direction. Therefore, as shown in this embodiment, the 1st contact member 4 and the 2nd contact member 5 can also be made into a leaf | plate spring shape, and it becomes possible to form easily. Moreover, the 1st contact member 4 which can be elastically deformed along the internal bottom face 1m (virtual plane VF), and the 2nd contact member 5 which can be elastically deformed in the direction which crosses the internal bottom face 1m (virtual plane VF) are used. Even if the deflection amount is increased in order to obtain a stable contact between the first contact member 4 and the second contact member 5 by configuring the detection switch unit 50, the first contact member 4 and the second contact member 5 A simple structure can be obtained without interfering with the operation. Therefore, it is possible to provide a card connector including a card detection switch that has a simple structure and can obtain stable conduction.

Further, by configuring the detection switch unit 50 using the first contact member 4 and the second contact member 5, as compared with the case where the torsion spring is used as in the card connector 900 described in Patent Document 1. Thus, the space can be saved, and the size can be further reduced.

Further, in the card connector 100 of the present embodiment, when the card CA is not inserted, the second contact member 5 protrudes into the storage space 10a and elastically contacts the first contact member 4, and the card CA is inserted. Then, the second contact member 5 is configured to contact the card CA and bend downward.

Thus, the second contact member 5 is in contact with the card CA and bent downward so that the free height of the second contact member 5 is necessary to obtain stable conduction with the first contact member 4. Even if the height is set, it does not affect the insertion and removal of the card CA. Even if the amount of bending of the second contact member 5 is increased, it is not necessary to increase the height dimension of the card connector. Therefore, it is possible to provide a thin card connector provided with a card detection switch capable of obtaining stable conduction.

Moreover, in the card connector 100 of this embodiment, it was set as the structure which provides the inclined surface part 5b ranging from the X2 direction side of the 2nd contact part 5a of the 2nd contact member 5 to the Y1 direction side. With such a configuration, when the card CA is discharged, the first contact member 4 contacts the second contact member 5, and the second contact member 5 is bent downward, the first contact portion 4f is inclined. It will move on the 2nd contact part 5a, slidingly contacting the surface part 5b. Thereby, it can prevent that the contact member 4b of the 1st contact member 4 is caught in the 2nd contact member 5, and the conduction | electrical_connection state of the detection switch part 50 is not switched.

Further, in the card connector 100 of the present embodiment, in a state where the card CA is inserted, the card connector 100 is in contact with a position avoiding the signal contact portion ST of the card CA (for example, a resin portion where the signal contact portion ST is not formed). Thus, the second contact member 5 is arranged.

Thereby, even if the 2nd contact member 5 contacts card | curd CA by arrange | positioning the 2nd contact member 5 so that it may contact the position which avoided the contact part ST for signals, it does not affect signal transmission. There is an effect that can be done.

As described above, the card connector according to the embodiment of the present invention has been specifically described. However, the present invention is not limited to the above-described embodiment, and various modifications can be made without departing from the scope of the invention. Is possible. For example, the present invention can be modified as follows, and these embodiments also belong to the technical scope of the present invention.

[Modification 1]
In the card connector 100 according to the first embodiment, the second contact member 5 is arranged so as to come into contact with a position avoiding the signal contact portion ST of the card CA when the card CA is inserted. . In addition to such a configuration, when the card CA has the signal contact portion ST and the ground contact portion GT, the card CA having the ground contact portion GT is inserted at a position avoiding the signal contact portion ST. In the state, the second contact member 5 may be arranged so as to be in contact with the ground contact portion GT. For example, when the card CA has the ground contact portion GT at the position of the signal contact portion ST arranged on the Y1 direction side and the X2 direction side shown in FIG. 3B (signal contact portion ST). Is 5 places). In addition, when responding to the card | curd CA like illustration, the 2nd contact member 5 is arrange | positioned in the position in which the terminal 3c shown in FIG. It is necessary to change the arrangement position, the deflection amount, and the like according to the arrangement position of the second contact member 5.

As a result, even if the position or area of the resin portion other than the signal contact portion ST is inconvenient for contacting the second contact member 5, the second contact member 5 is brought into contact with the ground contact portion GT. By arranging, even if the second contact member 5 comes into contact with the card CA, there is an effect that the signal transmission can be surely not affected.

[Modification 2]
In the card connector 100 of the first embodiment, the first contact portion 4f of the first contact member 4 provided facing downward, and the second contact portion 5a of the second contact member 5 provided facing the upper surface, However, it is configured to be elastically contacted by the urging force of the second contact member 5. In addition to such a configuration, for example, the following configuration may be used. The first contact portion 4f is provided facing the side of the first contact member 4, the second contact portion 5a is provided facing the side of the second contact member 5, and the first contact member 4 is The two contact members 5 are elastically deformable and supported along the virtual plane VF so as to elastically contact the two contact members 5, and the second contact member 5 is supported so as to be elastically deformable in a direction intersecting the virtual plane VF. There may be. In the case of the configuration as illustrated, it is necessary to change the contact pressure of the first contact member 4 in order to obtain stable conduction of the detection switch unit 50.

[Modification 3]
In the card connector 100 of the first embodiment, six terminals 3 (three terminals 3 in one row and two rows) are arranged. However, the number of signal contact portions ST of the card CA that can be used. And may precede by the position.
