Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a lubricant composition. More specifically, the present invention relates to a lubricant composition having a low viscosity at a low shear rate and excellent startability, a high viscosity at a high shear rate, an excellent oil film forming ability, and a high adhesion to the surface of a sliding part.
Conventionally, lubricating oil and grease have been used for the sliding portion in order to improve lubricity. Grease is an oil agent in which a fibrous thickener such as a metal soap or a urea compound is dispersed in a liquid lubricating oil to form a semi-solid. Because it is semi-solid, it has the advantage of preventing oil leakage and simplifying and miniaturizing the lubrication system, and it is widely used in machine elements of various industrial machines including automobiles, especially bearings and gears ( Non-patent document 1). Specific application destinations include transportation equipment such as automobiles and railways, information equipment such as computers, steel equipment such as rolling mills, machine tools, industrial machines such as transport systems and construction machines, and the like.
However, along with recent improvements in performance, size, and weight of various mechanical systems, the load on machine elements is increasing. With conventional grease, start-up, seizure resistance, wear resistance, low friction, etc. However, there is room for improvement in order to achieve high performance, miniaturization, and long life of the machine elements. More specifically, since the viscous resistance at the time of low shear is high, the start-up loss is large, and the oil film is easily cut off due to the decrease in viscosity at the time of high shear, and the frictional wear of the sliding part has been a problem.
The present invention achieves both startability and oil film forming ability, which could not be solved by conventional grease lubrication in high performance, miniaturization, and weight reduction of a mechanical system, and the lubricant applied to the sliding portion is at high speed rotation. However, it has the characteristic that it is difficult to scatter, specifically, low viscosity at low shear rate and excellent startability, high viscosity at high shear rate and excellent oil film forming ability, and adhesion to the sliding surface. It is an object of the present invention to provide a high lubricant composition.
As a result of intensive studies on the above problems, the present inventors have found that the above problems can be solved by blending a carboxylic acid metal salt and a specific hydrocarbon polymer with a lubricating base oil, and have completed the present invention. .

Further, the present invention is characterized in that the content of the lubricating base oil is 60 to 97% by mass, the content of the hydrocarbon polymer is 1 to 20% by mass, and the content of the carboxylic acid metal salt is 2 to 20% by mass. The above-mentioned lubricant composition.
Further, the present invention is the above-mentioned lubricant composition, characterized in that it is used for lubricating at least one mechanical element selected from bearings, gears, moving screws, worm racks, cams, clutches, belts, chains and wire ropes. is there.

It is a mechanical system characterized by having a mechanical element.
The lubricant composition of the present invention has a low viscosity at a low shear rate, reduces energy required at the start-up of the device, has a high viscosity at a high shear rate and has a sufficient oil film forming ability even during the rotational movement of the device, Has an effect as a lubricant for a long period of time. Further, since it is strongly adsorbed on the coating surface and hardly scattered, it is possible to suppress the contamination of the peripheral portion and the oil consumption. And since the application amount is small, it contributes to downsizing and weight reduction of the equipment.

It can contribute to extending the service life of excellent equipment. In addition, since the adhesiveness to the coating surface is high and it is difficult to scatter from the coating surface by centrifugal force, it is possible to suppress the contamination of peripheral parts and the oil consumption by the scattered oil agent. (viscosity)
Using a cone plate type rotational viscometer (manufactured by Thermo Scientific, HAAKE Viscotester550 type, rotor PK2-1 °), each composition prepared at the measurement site is allowed to stand and the temperature becomes uniform at 30 ° C. In this state, the viscosity at a shear rate of 50 s −1 (viscosity A) and the viscosity at 4000 s −1 (viscosity B) were measured.
(Adhesive force)
0.1 g of each composition was applied to one side of each of two flat plates (material SUJ-2) having a diameter of 24 mm and a thickness of 7 mm, and the surfaces were overlapped. After applying a load of 500 N to this for 5 seconds, the force (adhesive force) required to peel off the two flat plates was measured with a torque meter. A composition having an adhesive strength of 20 N or more was evaluated as acceptable.
油量:1g(初期油膜厚さとしては1mmに相当)
(Lubricity)
Using LFW-1 (block on ring, material SUJ-2), the coefficient of friction (the lubricity of the composition) was analyzed when each composition was used. The test conditions are as follows.
Temperature: Start 30 ° C., and subsequent behavior Oil amount: 1 g (Initial oil film thickness corresponds to 1 mm)
Load: 100N
Under the above conditions, the measurement was performed under two conditions: a sliding speed of 0.01 m / s (low speed) and 1 m / s (high speed). A composition having a measured coefficient of friction of 0.15 or less was judged to be very excellent in lubricity.
When the friction coefficient was 0.3 or more, the test was stopped because of abnormal friction and seizure.
