Description

The present invention relates to a foam filler that is attached to a component of a vehicle.

The constituent members of the vehicle serve as a transmission path for vibrations generated when the vehicle travels. There is known a foam filling tool that fills a foam that suppresses transmission of vibration in a hollow portion of such a component. For example, the foam filler of patent document 1 has the foamable member used as a foam, and the metal support member which supports a foamable member. The support member has a flat plate portion and a flange portion. After the foamable member is attached to the flat plate portion, the flange portion is spot welded to the vehicle component member, so that the foam filler becomes a component member. Fixed. Then, a foam is formed by a foamable member being heated by the heat of the drying process in the manufacturing process of a vehicle.

The foam filling device in which the foamable member as described above is attached to the support member is used by welding the support member to a vehicle component. Since this welding generates heat, the heat may be transmitted to the foamable member. Unnecessary heating of the foamable member based on such welding may cause unstable foam formation performed after the foam filler is attached.

On the other hand, for example, from the viewpoint of directly transmitting or absorbing the load applied to the constituent member and the vibration of the constituent member to the foam, the foam formed from the foamable member contacts the inner peripheral surface of the constituent member. It is preferable. In order to form the foam in this way, it is effective to configure the foam filler so that the foaming member is foamed in the direction toward the inner peripheral surface of the constituent member.

In this regard, in the foam filler of Patent Document 1, foaming toward the inner peripheral surface of the component member is difficult to be promoted, and the formation of the foam may become unstable due to unnecessary heating of the foamable member based on welding. is there. For this reason, it is difficult for the conventional foam filler to efficiently form the foam in the specified region.

The present invention has been made in view of such circumstances, and an object of the present invention is to provide a foam filler that can easily form a foam in a specified region.

A foam filler that solves the above problems is a foam filler that is attached to a component of a vehicle, and has a fixing portion that is fixed to the component member by welding and a standing portion that is erected on the fixing portion. A support member, a foamable member that becomes a foam when heated, a storage member that stores the foamable member, and a fixing member that fixes the storage member to the support member. A wall portion facing the upright portion; and a cover portion protruding from the wall portion toward the upright portion, and the foamable member is provided between the upright portion and the wall portion. .

According to this configuration, the housing member has the wall portion facing the standing portion, and has the cover portion protruding from the wall portion toward the standing portion. Such a cover portion covers at least a part of the foamable member. For this reason, the heat generated in connection with the welding between the fixing portion and the constituent member is hardly transmitted to the foamable member. Furthermore, since the foamable member is provided between the standing portion and the wall portion, the direction in which the foamable member foams is regulated.

In the foam filling device, it is preferable that the foamable member is separated from the standing portion.
The components of the vehicle are subjected to coating such as electrodeposition coating after the foam filler is attached. In such coating, the foamable member and the standing portion are separated as described above, so that the coating liquid can enter between the foamable member and the standing portion. Thereby, the standing part is suitably coated.

In the foam filling device, the foamable member includes a first foamable member and a second foamable member, the housing member includes a first housing portion that houses the first foamable member, and the first foamable member. 2 having a second accommodating part for accommodating the foamable member, and a connecting part for connecting the first accommodating part and the second accommodating part, wherein the first accommodating part and the second accommodating part are respectively It is preferable to have a wall part and the said cover part.

Thus, even in the housing member having the first housing portion for housing the first foamable member and the second housing portion for housing the second foamable member, the configuration having the wall portion and the cover portion described above is the fixing portion. This is advantageous in welding with the structural member and foaming of each foamable member.

In the above foam filler, it is preferable that the connecting portion has a shape straddling the standing portion.
For example, the connecting portion can be configured as described above.

In the foam filler, it is preferable that the first foamable member and the second foamable member are separated from the standing portion.
According to this configuration, as described above, the standing portion is suitably painted.

In the foam filling tool, it is preferable that the standing portion has a contact surface that comes into contact with the foam.
According to this configuration, for example, when a load is applied to the foam from the constituent member, the load is easily transmitted to the contact surface that contacts the foam.

In the foam filler, it is preferable that the standing portion has a through hole, and the fixing member includes an engaging portion that engages with the through hole.
In the foam filler, it is preferable that the fixing member is provided integrally with the housing member.

For example, the fixing member can be configured as described above.

According to the present invention, it is easy to efficiently form a foam in a specified region.

The support member 21 includes a fixing portion 22 that is fixed to the first panel 91 by welding, and a standing portion 23 that is erected on the fixing portion 22. The fixing portion 22 and the standing portion 23 are made of a metal such as iron or an iron alloy, for example, and both are formed in a plate shape. The overall shape of the support member 21 is L-shaped, and can be easily formed using a metal plate. The standing portion 23 has a pair of through holes 24 and 24 used for fixing the accommodation member 41.

The support member 21 is arranged so that the interior (hollow part) of the hollow structure formed using the first panel 91 is partitioned by the standing part 23. Such a support member 21 is used for reinforcing a hollow structure, for example.

エラストマーとしては、例えば、RB(ポリブタジエンエラストマー)、SBS(スチレン/ブタジエン/スチレンブロックコポリマー)、SIS(スチレン/イソプレン/スチレンブロック共重合体)、及びSEBS(スチレン/エチレン/ブチレン/スチレンブロック共重合体)が挙げられる。ゴムとしては、例えば、NR(天然ゴム)、SBR(スチレン/ブタジエンゴム)、BR(ブタジエンゴム)、NBR(ニトリルゴム)、CR(クロロプレンゴム)、IR(イソプレンゴム)、IIR(ブチルゴム)、EPDM(エチレンプロピレンジエン三元共重合体)、UR(ウレタンゴム)、ENR(エポキシ化天然ゴム)、及びEPM(エチレン/プロピレンゴム)が挙げられる。   The foamable member 31 is heated and foamed and cured to form a foam. (Ethylene propylene diene terpolymer), UR (urethane rubber), ENR (epoxidized natural rubber), and EPM (ethylene / propylene rubber).

Examples of the foaming agent include azodicarbonamide and dinitropentamethylenetetramine. Examples of the crosslinking agent include dimethylurea and dicyandiamide. Examples of the filler include calcium carbonate, barium sulfate, ferrite, and silica.

The housing member 41 includes a wall portion 42 that faces the standing portion 23, and a cover portion 43 that protrudes from the wall portion 42 toward the standing portion 23. The cover portion 43 includes a first side surface cover portion 44, a second side surface cover portion 45, and a bottom surface cover portion 46. The first side surface cover portion 44 and the second side surface cover portion 45 are provided on the wall portion 42 at a predetermined interval, and the first side surface cover portion 44 and the second side surface cover portion 45 are disposed to face each other. The first side surface cover portion 44 and the second side surface cover portion 45 are connected by a bottom surface cover portion 46, and the cover portion 43 is disposed so as to surround the periphery of the wall portion 42.

The foamable member 31 is disposed inside the cover portion 43. The foamable member 31 is fixed to the housing member 41 using an adhesive, for example. The foamable member 31 can also be fixed by being fitted between the first side surface cover portion 44 and the second side surface cover portion 45. The foamable member 31 can also be fixed to the storage member 41 by providing the storage member 41 with a locking claw that locks the foamable member 31.

In the foamable member 31 accommodated in the accommodating member 41, the pair of side surfaces are covered with the first side surface cover portion 44 and the second side surface cover portion 45, and the bottom surface located at the proximal end close to the fixing portion 22 is the bottom surface cover portion. 46.

Here, the foaming direction of the foamable member 31 is regulated by the wall portion 42 facing the standing portion 23. For this reason, the foam comes into contact with the surface of the standing portion 23 that faces the wall portion 42. Thus, the standing part 23 has the contact surface 25 which contacts a foam.

The housing member 41 is made of a material that can withstand heating when the foamable member 31 becomes a foam. The housing member 41 of this embodiment is integrally formed using polyamide.
The fixing member 51 is provided integrally with the housing member 41. That is, the fixing member 51 is integrally formed from the same material as the housing member 41.

As shown in FIG. 1, the fixing member 51 is inserted into the pedestal portion 52 that can come into contact with the erected portion 23, the insertion portion 53 that is inserted into the through hole 24, and the erected portion 23. And a locking portion 54 to be locked. The locking portion 54 includes a first locking portion 54 a that protrudes from one side surface of the insertion portion 53 and a second locking portion 54 b that protrudes from the other side surface of the insertion portion 53. The pedestal portion 52, the insertion portion 53, and the locking portion 54 are configured as engaging portions that engage with the through hole 24.

As shown in FIGS. 2A and 2B, the housing member 41 is fixed to the support member 21 by a fixing member 51. As described above, the foamable member 31 positioned by the fixing of the accommodating member 41 is separated from the standing portion 23. The position of the foamable member 31 relative to the standing portion 23 can be set according to the size of the foamable member 31 and the distance between the wall portion 42 and the standing portion 23.

Next, the operation of the foam filler 11 will be described.
As shown in FIGS. 3A and 3B, the foam filler 11 is applied to a hollow structure 93 formed using a first panel 91 and a second panel 92. For example, the first panel 91 is an inner panel of the vehicle, and the second panel 92 is an outer panel of the vehicle.

First, the foam filler 11 is fixed to the first panel 91 by welding the support member 21 to the first panel 91. As the welding, spot welding is preferably used from the viewpoint of easily increasing the efficiency when the foam filler 11 is attached.

In such welding, for example, heat generated at an electrode portion or an energized portion or heat of sputtering is generated. When this heat is transmitted to the foamable member 31, the outer surface of the foamable member 31 may be thermally denatured. In this regard, in the foam filler 11 of the present embodiment, at least a part of the foamable member 31 is covered with the cover portion 43. For this reason, the heat generated along with the welding of the fixing portion 22 and the first panel 91 is not easily transmitted to the foamable member 31.

Subsequently, the hollow structure 93 is formed by joining the first panel 91 and the second panel 92. The hollow structure 93 constitutes a part of the vehicle. Examples of the vehicle include a pillar, a door panel, a roof panel, a trunk lid, a front hood panel, various reinforcements, and the like.

The vehicle to which the foam filler 11 is attached is subjected to a process (drying process) for baking the coating after the electrodeposition coating. The foamable member 31 starts to foam and harden when heated by the drying process. At this time, since the foamable member 31 is provided between the standing part 23 and the wall part 42, the foaming member 31 is restricted in the direction in which the foamable member 31 foams. Thereby, the foaming which goes to the internal peripheral surface of a structural member (hollow structure 93) can be promoted easily. The foam 94 is formed by performing this heating for a predetermined time. The foam 94 according to the present embodiment is formed so as to connect between the standing portion 23 and the second panel 92.

Thus, in the component member (hollow structure 93) to which the foam filler 11 is applied, strength, rigidity, vibration damping properties, and the like are improved. For example, the load from the outside of the second panel 92 is distributed to the standing portion 23 via the foam 94.

The effects exhibited by the first embodiment described above will be described below.
(1) The accommodating member 41 included in the foam filler 11 includes a cover portion 43 that protrudes from the wall portion 42 facing the standing portion 23 toward the standing portion 23, and the foamable member 31 includes the wall portion 42. It is provided between the standing portion 23. According to this configuration, heat generated along with the welding of the fixing portion 22 and the first panel 91 is not easily transmitted to the foamable member 31 and the direction in which the foamable member 31 foams is restricted. That is, since the foamable member 31 is not easily affected by unnecessary heat when the fixing portion 22 and the first panel 91 are welded, for example, the foam 94 is stably formed by heating in the drying process. become. In the formation process of the stable foam 94 as described above, the foaming direction is restricted between the standing portion 23 and the wall portion 42, so that foaming to the inner peripheral surface of the component member (hollow structure 93) is performed. Is suitably performed. For this reason, according to the foam filler 11 of this embodiment, it becomes easy to form the foam 94 efficiently in the specified area | region.

(2) Since the foamable member 31 is separated from the standing portion 23, the coating liquid used for electrodeposition coating can enter between the foamable member 31 and the standing portion 23. Thereby, coating of the standing part 23 comes to be performed suitably. Therefore, corrosion of the standing portion 23 is easily suppressed.

(3) The standing portion 23 has a contact surface 25 that comes into contact with the foam 94. According to this configuration, for example, when a load or vibration is applied from the second panel 92 to the foam 94, the load or vibration is easily transmitted to the standing portion 23. That is, since the load and vibration are easily dispersed between the foam 94 and the standing portion 23, the reinforcing effect and the vibration damping effect by the foam filler 11 are more easily obtained.

(4) The standing portion 23 has a through hole 24, and the fixing member 51 includes an engaging portion that engages with the through hole 24. In this case, complication in the shape of the standing portion 23 can be avoided as much as possible.
(5) The fixing member 51 is provided integrally with the housing member 41. In this case, the number of parts of the foam filler 11 can be reduced.

(Second Embodiment)
The second embodiment of the foam filler will be described with reference to FIG. 4 focusing on the differences from the first embodiment. The foam filler 12 of the second embodiment is mainly different from the first embodiment in the configuration of the housing member. For this reason, the same code | symbol as 1st Embodiment is attached | subjected to the member similar to 1st Embodiment, and the description is abbreviate | omitted.

As shown in FIG. 4, the foamable member 61 has a first foamable member 62 and a second foamable member 63. The housing member 71 includes a first housing portion 72 that houses the first foamable member 62, a second housing portion 73 that houses the second foamable member 63, and the first housing portion 72 and the second housing portion 73. And a connecting portion 74 to be connected.

The 1st accommodating part 72 has the 1st wall part 72a and the 1st bottom face cover part 72b, and the 2nd accommodating part 73 has the 2nd wall part 73a and the 2nd bottom face cover part 73b.
The shape of the connecting portion 74 is a shape (arch shape) straddling the standing portion 23. The connecting portion 74 protrudes from the first bottom surface cover portion 72b and the second bottom surface cover portion 73b, and is arranged so as to sandwich the upright portion 23, and the first protrusion portion 74a and the first protrusion portion 74a. And a connection support portion 74c that connects the second protrusion 74b. The connection support part 74 c is disposed so as to straddle the distal end on the opposite side to the base end joined to the fixing part 22 in the standing part 23. Note that the housing member 71 of the present embodiment has a pair of connecting portions 74 and 74, and the connecting portions 74 and 74 are configured to straddle two spaced locations in the standing portion 23.

The fixing member 81 in the second embodiment includes a fixed base 82 that protrudes from the first bottom surface cover portion 72b toward the fixing portion 22 and a pair of locking tools 83 and 83. That is, in 2nd Embodiment, the fixing member 81 contains the locking tools 83 and 83, and the locking tools 83 and 83 differ from 1st Embodiment by the point from which the accommodating member 71 is separated. .

The fixed base 82 is provided with a pair of locking holes 82a and 82a. The standing portion 23 has a pair of through holes 24 and 24 corresponding to the pair of locking holes 82a and 82a. And the accommodating member 71 is fixed to the support member 21 by the locking tools 83 and 83 being inserted into the locking holes 82a and 82a and the through holes 24 and 24. The locking tool 83 has a head portion 84, an insertion portion 85 inserted into the locking hole 82 a and the through hole 24, and a locking portion 86 locked to the standing portion 23. That is, the locking tool 83 that is the fixing member 81 of the second embodiment is configured as an engaging portion that engages with the through hole 24. The locking tool 83 is made of a material that can withstand heating when the foamable member 61 becomes a foam.

The standing portion 23 is disposed between the first foamable member 62 and the second foamable member 63. In addition, the first foamable member 62 and the second foamable member 63 are separated from the standing portion 23.
In the standing portion 23, the foam formed from the first foamable member 62 contacts the surface facing the first wall portion 72 a, while the second foamable property is formed on the surface facing the second wall portion 73 a. The foam formed from the member 63 comes into contact. Thus, the standing part 23 of 2nd Embodiment is the contact surface 25 in which the both surfaces contact a foam.

According to the foam filler 12 of 2nd Embodiment mentioned above, the effect similar to the effect as described in (1)-(4) of 1st Embodiment is exhibited. Furthermore, the following effects are exhibited in the second embodiment.
(6) The standing portion 23 is disposed between the first foamable member 62 and the second foamable member 63. And both surfaces of the standing part 23 are comprised as the contact surface 25 which contacts a foam. According to this structure, it becomes easy to ensure the contact surface 25 of the standing part 23 and a foam wider than the foaming filler 11 of 1st Embodiment. For this reason, the reinforcing effect and the vibration damping effect by the foam filler 12 are more easily obtained than the foam filler 11 of the first embodiment.

(7) The connecting portion 74 has a shape straddling the standing portion 23. When comprised in this way, the accommodating member 71 with which the 1st accommodating part 72 and the 2nd accommodating part 73 were united can be comprised easily. Further, according to the housing member 71 having the connecting portion 74, the assembly to the standing portion 23 is facilitated. For this reason, the productivity of the foam filler 12 can be improved.

For example, when an external force toward the fixing portion 22 is applied to the housing member 71, the connecting portion 74 straddling the standing portion 23 comes into contact with the standing portion 23 and resists the external force. For this reason, the reinforcing effect by the foam filler 12 can be more easily obtained.

(Example of change)
The first and second embodiments may be modified as follows.
As shown in FIG. 5, the fixing member 51 of the first embodiment may be changed to a fixing member 81 including a fixing base 82 and a locking tool 83 in the second embodiment. As described above, the locking member 83 which is the fixing member 81 can be configured separately from the housing member 41.

-Although the standing part 23 of each embodiment has the through-hole 24, the through-hole 24 can also be abbreviate | omitted. In this case, the housing members 41 and 71 can be fixed to the support member 21 using the adhesive layer as a fixing member.

-The fixing member 51 of 1st Embodiment may be comprised only from the insertion part 53 press-fit in the through-hole 24. FIG. Further, the locking tool 83 of the second embodiment may also be configured only from the insertion portion 85 that is press-fitted into the through hole 24. As an engaging part engaged with the through-hole 24, the aspect which fixes by inserting the insertion parts 53 and 85 in the through-hole 24 is also included.

For example, the fixing member 51 of the first embodiment may be provided integrally with the wall portion 42 of the first embodiment. Further, the fixing member 51 can be integrally provided on the first wall portion 72a or the second wall portion 73a of the second embodiment.

As shown in FIG. 5, the cover portion 43 of the first embodiment may be configured only from the bottom surface cover portion 46. That is, the cover portion 43 may be configured of one or two types selected from the first side surface cover portion 44, the second side surface cover portion 45, and the bottom surface cover portion 46. Also in 2nd Embodiment, the cover part in each accommodating part 72 and 73 can be comprised from at least 1 type chosen from a pair of side cover part and bottom face cover part.

-In 1st Embodiment, even if the 1st side surface cover part 44, the 2nd side surface cover part 45, or the bottom face cover part 46 is changed into the shape which covers a part of side surface or a part of bottom face of the foamable member 31. Good. Also in the second embodiment, the first bottom surface cover portion 72 b may be changed to a shape that covers a part of the first foamable member 62, and the second bottom surface cover portion 73 b is formed of the second foamable member 63. The shape may be changed to cover a part of the bottom surface.

-Although the foamable member 31 of 1st Embodiment is spaced apart from the standing part 23, you may change so that the standing part 23 may be contact | connected. The first foamable member 62 or the second foamable member 63 of the second embodiment may also be changed so as to be in contact with the standing portion 23.

-The accommodation member 41 of 1st Embodiment may be arrange | positioned so that the standing part 23 may be contacted. The housing member 71 of the second embodiment may also be disposed so as to contact the standing portion 23.

-A wall part can also be provided between the foamable member 31 and the standing part 23 of 1st Embodiment. Depending on the shape of the wall portion, the size of the contact surface 25 can be changed, or the contact surface 25 can be omitted. Also in the second embodiment, a wall portion may be further provided between the first foamable member 62 or the second foamable member 63 and the standing portion 23.

-As shown to Fig.6 (a)-(c), the fixing member 81 of 2nd Embodiment can also be provided in the accommodating member 71 integrally. In order to attach the accommodation member 71 shown in FIG. 6A to the support member 21, first, the accommodation portions 72 and 73 are separated as shown in FIG. 6B. Next, as shown in FIG. 6C, after inserting the standing portion 23 between the projecting portions 74a and 74b, the accommodating portions 72 and 73 are brought close to each other, and the original shown in FIG. While returning to the state, the fixing member 81 is engaged with the through hole 24.

-The accommodating member 71 of 2nd Embodiment may be comprised so that it may shape to the shape shown by FIG.6 (b) previously, and it may be fixed to the support member 21 by making each accommodating part 72 and 73 approach. . In this case, when the accommodation member 71 is attached to the support member 21, it is possible to secure a portion into which the standing portion 23 is inserted, and thus it is possible to omit an operation of separating the accommodation portions 72 and 73. Further, in the case where the housing member 71 is molded into the shape shown in FIG. 6A, the provision of the fixing member 81 in either the first housing portion 72 or the second housing portion 73 is, for example, a molding die. Will be complicated. In this regard, in the shape shown in FIG. 6B, since the accommodation member can be formed with a degree of freedom for setting the interval between the first accommodation portion 72 and the second accommodation portion 73, the first accommodation It becomes easy to integrally provide the fixing member 81 in both the portion 72 and the second housing portion 73. Further, by providing the fixing member 81 in each of the accommodating portions 72 and 73, the fixing property to the support member 21 can be easily improved.

-The number or shape of the connection part 74 in 2nd Embodiment may be changed suitably. Moreover, the connection part 74 is not restricted to the shape over the standing part 23, For example, you may change into the connection part which connects the 1st wall part 72a and the 2nd wall part 73a linearly.

In the foam filler 12 of the second embodiment, the first wall portion 72a faces the first surface of the standing portion 23, and the second wall portion 73a faces the second surface opposite to the first surface. It is configured as follows. The foam filler 12 may be configured such that both the first wall portion 72a and the second wall portion 73a face one side (first surface or second surface) of the standing portion 23.
