Claims (18)
- 血管の非継続的な周縁除去を行う装置であって、
近位端、遠位端、及び該遠位端に近接配置される遠位領域を有するシャフトを備えるカテーテルと、前記遠位領域内に配置される少なくとも第一と第二の超音波変換器部と、を備え、
第一の超音波変換器部は血管の長さ方向区分に沿う第一の非継続的な周縁治療帯を生成するよう超音波エネルギーを送出するよう構成され、
第二の超音波変換器部は血管の長さ方向区分に沿う第二の非継続的な周縁治療帯を生成するよう超音波エネルギーを送出するよう構成され、
第一の周縁治療帯と第二の周縁治療帯は分離した定常放射面に形成され、血管の周囲回りで完全に非継続的であることを特徴とする装置。 - カテーテルは、更に、遠位領域に配置される第一と第二の拡張可能部材を含み、
第一と第二の拡張可能部材は、展開時には血管内で遠位領域を中心決めするよう構成される、
請求項1の装置。 - 少なくとも第一と第二の超音波変換器の一つは焦点化された超音波エネルギーを送出する、
請求項1又は2の装置。 - 第一と第二の超音波変換器部は、カテーテルの遠位領域の外側部周りに螺旋状になる単一の超音波変換器部分を含む、
請求項1から3のいずれかの装置。 - 単一の超音波変換器は、遠位領域周りに可撓な可撓平坦部に配置された圧電層を包み込んで形成される、
請求項4の装置。 - 単一の超音波変換器は、剛体管状基板上に配置された圧電層を切断又は刻みを付けて形成される、
請求項4の装置。 - 第一と第二の超音波変換器部は、単一の超音波変換器の非被覆部に対応しており、
前記単一の超音波変換器は、カテーテルの遠位領域の外側部に渡って延在しておりかつ吸収材の層で覆われている、
請求項1から3のいずれかの装置。 - 吸収材の層は、遠位領域に渡って長手方向に延在する螺旋縞部で構成される、請求項7の装置。
- 第一と第二の超音波変換器部は分離型超音波変換器で構成される、
請求項1から3のいずれかの装置。 - 分離型超音波変換器の少なくとも一つは、所定の弧に渡って配置された音響吸収材の層を更に備え、少なくとも一つの超音波変換器が発する超音波エネルギーを吸収する、
請求項9の装置。 - 分離型超音波変換器の少なくとも一つは、所定の弧に渡って配置された音響反射材の層を更に備え、少なくとも一つの超音波変換器が発する超音波エネルギーを反射する、
請求項9の装置。 - 分離型超音波変換器の少なくとも一つは、遠位領域に添着された圧電材の平坦層を更に備え、所定の弧に渡って超音波エネルギーを発するよう構成される、
請求項9の装置。 - 分離型超音波変換器の少なくとも一つは、遠位領域に添着された圧電材の湾曲層を更に備え、所定の弧に渡って超音波エネルギーを発するよう構成される、
請求項9の装置。 - 圧電材の層は遠位領域の外側部に添着される、
請求項12又は13の装置。 - 圧電材の層は、カテーテルの内側面に添着され、音響透過型窓部を介してエネルギーを発するように構成される、
請求項12から14のいずれかの装置。 - カテーテルは、第一の超音波変換器と軸方向に位置合わせされ且つ該第一の超音波変換器から角度方向に片寄った第三の超音波変換器を更に備え、
第一と第三の超音波変換器は同時に通電されるよう構成される、
請求項12から15のいずれかの装置。 - カテーテルは、第一の超音波変換器と軸方向に位置合わせされ且つ該第一の超音波変換器から角度方向に片寄った第三の超音波変換器を更に備え、
第一と第三の超音波変換器は別々に通電されるよう構成される、
請求項12から16のいずれかの装置。 - カテーテルは、患者の腎臓血管内に静脈内配置されるよう構成される、
請求項1から17のいずれかの装置。
