Claims (5)

シート状の記録媒体の表面に画像を形成する画像形成手段と、
装置本体の側面に配置され、少なくとも一部が装置本体から離れる方向に移動することで、覆っていた装置本体内部を露出させるカバー部材とを備える画像形成装置において、
装置運搬用の取っ手部として、装置本体に固定され、且つ、装置本体の外装の側面に対して窪んだ形状の取っ手部の少なくとも一つを、該側面の幅方向における上記カバー部材の幅内で、該カバー部材よりも低い位置に配置することを特徴とする画像形成装置。
