Description

The present invention relates to a wound electronic component such as an inductor or a transformer.

2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, for example, as disclosed in Patent Document 1 (Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 2007-165539), a drum-type core having a core part and flanges formed at both ends of the core part is provided. 2. Description of the Related Art Wire-wound electronic components in which a coil conductor is wound around a core part are known. 7 and 8 show an example of such a conventional wire wound electronic component. 7 and 8 are a side view and a front view showing a conventional wire wound electronic component 501, respectively.

As shown in FIGS. 7 and 8, the wound electronic component 501 includes a winding core portion 503 (not visible by being hidden by a wire 506 described later), an upper flange portion 504 formed at both ends of the winding core portion 503, and a lower flange portion. A core 502 having a 505, a conductive wire 506 made of copper or the like wound around a core portion 503, and a pair of electrodes 507 formed on a bottom surface 505b of the lower collar portion. The wire 506 is pulled out to the lower collar part 505 side, passes through the side surface 505s of the lower collar part, and is electrically connected to the electrode 507 provided on the bottom surface 505b of the lower collar part.

As shown in FIGS. 7 and 8, a corner C having a substantially right angle is formed at the intersection of the bottom 505b of the lower collar and the side 505s of the lower collar, and the wire 506 is located near the corner C. It is bent and finally connected to the electrode 507.

However, in the conventional wire wound electronic component 501, the wire 506 may be easily damaged by the corner C where the bottom surface 505b of the lower collar part and the side surface 505s of the lower collar part intersect each other. That is, due to the structure of the wound electronic component 501, the corner portion C has a substantially right-angled shape, and the wire 506 drawn out to the lower flange portion 505 is bent near the corner portion C and the bottom surface 505b of the lower flange portion. As a result, the wire 506 is easily broken by the corner portion C, which may cause an open failure.

Therefore, in view of the above, the present invention can avoid open defects even in a wire-wound electronic component even if the wire drawn out to the lower collar portion is disconnected at the corner where the bottom and side surfaces of the lower collar intersect. An object is to provide a wound electronic component.

A wound electronic component according to the present invention includes a core having a core part, an upper collar part provided at an upper end of the core part, and a lower collar part provided at a lower end of the core part, and wound around the core part. A conductive wire that is turned, and an electrode that is provided on the lower collar and is electrically connected to the end of the wire. A reduction part is formed in which the width of the lower collar part is reduced in the direction toward the bottom surface side of the part, the electrode is formed extending from the bottom surface of the lower collar part to the reduction part, and the wire is It is characterized in that it is electrically connected to the electrode at both the bottom surface of the collar portion and the reduced portion.

The width of the lower collar portion mentioned above refers to the length in the left-right direction of the lower collar portion as viewed from the front or side when the bottom surface of the lower collar portion is placed downward. May be any shape as long as the length in the left-right direction of the lower collar portion viewed from at least one of the front and side directions decreases toward the bottom surface side of the lower collar portion.

If the wire-wound electronic component has the structure as described above, even if the wire drawn to the bottom side of the lower collar part is disconnected at the corner where the bottom and side surfaces of the lower collar part intersect, the side surface side of the lower collar part Since the conduction with the electrode is ensured by the above-described reduced portion provided in the open circuit, open defects can be avoided.

In the case of forming the above-mentioned electrode by sputtering, since a reduction part is provided on the side surface side of the lower collar part so that the width of the lower collar part decreases toward the bottom surface side of the lower collar part. Even with sputtering from the lower side of the bottom surface of the collar portion, an electrode having a sufficient film thickness can be formed also on the above-described reduced portion, that is, the side surface side of the lower collar portion.

With the wire wound electronic component according to the present invention, even if the wire drawn to the bottom surface side of the lower collar portion is disconnected at the corner where the bottom surface and the side surface of the lower collar portion intersect, open defects can be avoided.

It is a front view which shows the conventional winding type | mold electronic component 501. FIG.

The wound electronic component 1 according to the first embodiment of the present invention will be described below with reference to the drawings.

As shown in FIG. 1, the wound electronic component 1 includes a core portion 3 (not visible by being hidden by a wire 6 described later), an upper collar portion 4 provided at the upper end of the core portion 3, and a lower end of the core portion 3. A core 2 having a lower collar 5 provided on the core 3 is provided, and a conductive wire 6 is wound around the core 3. The side surface 5s of the lower collar part is provided with a reduction part in which the width of the lower collar part 5 is reduced in the direction toward the bottom surface 5b of the lower collar part. In the first embodiment, the reduced portion is formed by the tapered portion T. Furthermore, an electrode 7 is formed on the lower collar part 5 so as to extend from a bottom surface 5b of the lower collar part to a tapered part T provided on a side surface 5s of the lower collar part. Is electrically connected to the wire 6 at both the bottom surface 5b side and the tapered portion T.

In the case of the wound electronic component 1 having such a structure, since the conduction between the wire 6 and the electrode 7 is ensured even in the tapered portion T formed on the side surface 5s of the lower collar portion, the wire 6 is temporarily Even if the wire breaks at the corner C, open defects can be avoided.

Next, a method for manufacturing the wound electronic component 1 according to the first embodiment will be described.

First, the core 2 having the core part 3, the upper collar part 4 provided at the upper end of the core part 3, and the lower collar part 5 provided at the lower end of the core part 3 is produced. The core 2 can be manufactured by, for example, filling raw material powder such as ferrite into a mold having a predetermined shape, pressurizing and integrally molding, taking out from the mold, and firing with a predetermined profile. it can. At this time, a reduced portion in which the width of the lower collar portion 5 is reduced toward the bottom surface 5b side of the lower collar portion is formed on all or a part of the side surface 5s of the lower collar portion. In the first embodiment, a tapered portion T is formed as the above-described reduced portion as shown in FIGS.

In the present embodiment, the upper collar portion 4 has a quadrangular prism shape. However, the shape of the upper collar portion 4 is arbitrary, and may be, for example, a columnar shape, an elliptical columnar shape, or a polygonal columnar shape other than a rectangular columnar shape. Moreover, the shape of the winding core part 3 is also arbitrary, and may be, for example, a quadrangular prism shape, a cylindrical shape, an elliptical column shape, or a polygonal column shape other than the quadrangular column shape. Further, the shape of the lower collar portion 5 is arbitrary as long as the purpose of the present invention is satisfied. For example, the above-described reduced portion may be formed with respect to a polygonal shape, a circular shape, or a rounded shape.

Although not shown, separately from the above-described reduced portion, when the wire 6 is routed to the bottom surface 5b side of the lower collar portion, as a mark for facilitating the positioning of the wire 6 on the side surface 5s of the lower collar portion, separately, A convex portion or the like (not shown) may be provided on the side surface 5s of the lower collar portion. In addition, as a mark, the above-described reduced portion may be used as the mark instead of separately providing the above-described convex part or the like.

Next, a pair of electrodes 7 is formed from the bottom surface 5b of the lower collar portion to the tapered portion T. In the first embodiment, the electrode 7 is formed from the bottom surface 5b of the lower collar portion to the tapered portion T by sputtering from the lower side of the bottom surface 5b of the lower collar portion. At this time, the side surface 5s of the lower collar portion is provided with a reduced portion (in the first embodiment, a tapered portion T) in which the width of the lower collar portion 5 is reduced toward the bottom surface 5b side of the lower collar portion. Therefore, even with sputtering, it is possible to form an electrode having a sufficient film thickness from the bottom surface 5b of the lower collar portion to the taper portion T.

The electrode 7 is preferably subjected to nickel-based plating for securing the adhesive force between the lower collar portion 5 and the electrode 7 and preventing solder erosion, and further tin or silver plating for improving solderability.

Next, a conductive wire 6 made of copper or the like is wound around the winding core 3 using a winding device. In the first embodiment, the wire 6 is an insulating coating with polyester imide or the like.

Next, the wire 6 is routed to the lower collar part 5 side, and the wire 6 and the electrode 7 are electrically connected from the position of the bottom surface 5b of the lower collar part to the position of the taper part T. The connection between the wire 6 and the electrode 7 is performed by soldering or the like, for example.

Thus, in the present invention, since the conduction between the wire 6 and the electrode 7 is ensured even in the above-described reduced portion (the tapered portion T in the first embodiment), the corner portion of the lower collar portion 5 is temporarily assumed. Even if the wire 6 is disconnected at C, an open defect can be avoided.

When the connection between the wire 6 and the electrode 7 is performed by flow soldering, as described above, the reduced portion (the tapered portion T in the first embodiment) is provided on the side surface 5s side of the lower collar portion. From the bottom surface 5b side of the lower collar portion to the reduced portion provided on the side surface 5s of the lower collar portion, the solder is easily formed by one dipping treatment in the solder bath.

Next, for example, a thermosetting epoxy resin (not shown) is applied onto the wire 6 wound around the core portion 3 and heated to be cured, whereby the wire wound electronic component according to the present embodiment. Complete 1

Heretofore, the wound electronic component 1 according to the present embodiment and the manufacturing method thereof have been described.

In the first embodiment, the reduced portion described above is formed by the tapered portion T. However, instead of the tapered portion T, the reduced portion described above may be formed by another shape such as a curve.

Moreover, when forming the taper part T over the whole surface of the side surface of the lower collar part, the angle θ (see FIG. 1) of the corner part C may be in the range of more than 90 degrees and less than 180 degrees. Note that as the angle θ is increased in the range of more than 90 degrees and less than 180 degrees, the corner portion C becomes less sharp, so that the occurrence of the disconnection of the wire 6 by the corner portion C can be reduced.

Further, when forming an electrode by sputtering, the angle θ is appropriately adjusted and selected in consideration of the film thickness of the electrode to be formed on the tapered portion T, the sputtering performance and orientation, the shape of the wound electronic component, and the like.

Next, as another embodiment of the wound electronic component according to the present invention, a wound electronic component 11 according to a second embodiment will be described.

As in the first embodiment, the wound electronic component 11 includes a winding core portion 13 (not visible behind a wire 16 described later), an upper collar portion 14 and a lower collar portion 15 as shown in FIGS. A core 12 is provided, and a conductive wire 16 is wound around the core portion 13. On the side surface 15s of the lower collar portion, a reduced portion (a tapered portion T in the second embodiment) in which the width of the lower collar portion 15 is reduced toward the bottom surface 15b side of the lower collar portion is formed. Further, an electrode 17 is formed on the lower collar portion 15 so as to extend from the bottom surface 15b of the lower collar portion to the taper portion T. The electrode 17 is positioned at both the bottom surface 15b side of the lower collar portion and the tapered portion T. Thus, it is electrically connected to the wire 16.

However, in the wound electronic component 11 according to the second embodiment, unlike the first embodiment, the reduced portion (the tapered portion T in the second embodiment) is formed only on a part of the side surface 15s of the lower collar portion. ing.

Even in the wound electronic component 11 according to the second embodiment, even if the wire 16 routed to the bottom surface 15b of the lower collar portion is disconnected at the corner C where the bottom surface and the side surface of the lower collar portion intersect. Since the conduction between the wire 16 and the electrode 17 is ensured at the position of the taper portion T provided on the side surface 15s of the lower collar portion, open defects can be avoided.

Therefore, the wire wound electronic component according to the present invention is similar to the wire wound electronic component 1 according to the first embodiment, and includes the above-described reduced portion (in the first embodiment, a tapered portion) over one entire side surface of the lower collar portion. T) may be formed. For example, as in the second embodiment, the above-described reduced portion (the tapered portion T in the second embodiment) is formed only on a part of the side surface of the lower collar portion. Also good.

As other embodiments, for example, as shown in FIG. 5 (third embodiment), the reduced portion (the tapered portion T in the third embodiment) has a corner portion C of the side surface 25s of the lower collar portion. You may form only in the one part surface which does not contact | connect.

Further, as shown in FIG. 6 (fourth embodiment), a plurality of reduced portions (tapered portions T in the fourth embodiment) may be formed on one surface of the side surface 35s of the lower collar portion.

In the first to fourth embodiments, the above-described reduced portion is formed on only one side surface of the lower collar, but the reduced portion is formed on a plurality of side surfaces of the lower collar. Electrodes may be extended from the bottom surface of the part to the plurality of reduced parts, respectively, to ensure electrical continuity with the wire.

Further, in the first to fourth embodiments, the above-described reduction part is formed only on the lower collar part, but the present invention is applied to both the lower collar part and the upper collar part. It may be a structure. In this case, the reduced portion provided in the upper collar portion means a reduced portion in which the width of the upper collar portion is reduced toward the upper surface side direction of the upper collar portion.

Further, the electrode formed in the above-described reduced portion may cover the entire reduced portion, or may be formed only on a part of the reduced portion.

In addition, since the wire-wound electronic component of the first to fourth embodiments is an inductor, a single wire is wound around the core, but the core is formed after two pairs of electrodes are formed. Two wires are wound around the part to form a transformer, and the present invention is applied to two pairs of wires to conduct between the wire and the electrode at both the bottom surface and the tapered part of the lower collar part. Also good.

In addition, as mentioned in the explanation of the manufacturing method of the first embodiment, in the wound electronic component according to the present invention, when the above electrode is formed by sputtering, not only the bottom surface of the lower collar part, It is easy to form an electrode having a sufficient film thickness on the above-described reduced portion (the tapered portion T in the first to fourth embodiments) provided on the side surface of the lower collar portion. This is because the reduced portion has a shape such that the width of the lower collar portion is reduced toward the bottom surface side of the lower collar portion on the side surface of the lower collar portion.
