Description
本願は、2010年10月4日に出願された米国仮特許出願第61/389,635号の利益を主張し、その開示内容の全体を本明細書に参照として組み込むものとする。
Claims (22)
- 受信機から送信機にチャネルフィードバックデータを送信する方法であって、
通信チャネルに対応する一つ以上の空間または時空間ストリームの複数の直交周波数分割多重(OFDM)トーンについてのチャネルデータを決定する段階と、
i)前記一つ以上の空間または時空間ストリーム、および、ii)前記複数のOFDMトーンのうち一つ以上のOFDMトーン、に対応付けられる複数の角度値を決定して、圧縮形態の前記チャネルデータを決定する段階と、
前記一つ以上の空間または時空間ストリームのそれぞれについて、i)前記複数のOFDMトーンのうち一つ以上のOFDMトーンに対応付けられるトーン毎信号対雑音比(PT−SNR)を決定し、かつ、ii)前記複数のOFDMトーンのうち一つ以上のOFDMトーンに対応する信号対雑音比(SNR)の値を平均することにより、平均信号対雑音比(avg−SNR)を決定する段階と、
少なくとも、i)前記一つ以上の空間または時空間ストリームおよび前記一つ以上のOFDMトーンに対応付けられた前記複数の角度値、ii)前記一つ以上の空間または時空間ストリームおよび前記一つ以上のOFDMトーンに対応付けられた前記PT−SNR、並びに、iii)前記一つ以上の空間または時空間ストリームに対応付けられた前記avg−SNR、を含むようにフィードバック報告を生成する段階と、
前記受信機から前記送信機に送信されるデータユニットに前記フィードバック報告を含める段階と
を備える方法。 - 前記データユニットは、制御フィールドも含み、
前記制御フィールドは、少なくとも、i)前記チャネルデータがシングルユーザ(SU)モードまたはマルチユーザ(MU)モードで使用されるかを示すモードインジケータ、ii)前記通信チャネルに対応するチャネル行列の列数を示す列数(Nc)インジケータ、および、iii)前記複数の角度値の各角度値を量子化するのに使用されるビット数を示すコードブック情報、を含む
請求項1に記載の方法。 - 前記モードインジケータがSUモードを示すよう設定されている場合、前記PT−SNRは省略される請求項2に記載の方法。
- 前記コードブック情報は、前記SUモードと前記MUモードとで異なって解釈される請求項2または3に記載の方法。
- 前記コードブック情報は、1ビットを使用して示される請求項2から4のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 前記フィードバック報告を生成する段階は、前記avg−SNRを量子化して8ビットの量子化avg−SNRを生成する段階を有する請求項1から5のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 一つ以上のトーンの前記PT−SNRは、対応する前記OFDMトーンの前記PT−SNRと前記avg−SNRとの差分によって表される請求項1から6のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 前記差分は、4ビットに量子化される請求項7に記載の方法。
- 前記データユニットは、変調および符号化スキーム(MCS)のフィードバックのインジケータをさらに含み、Ncは、前記変調および符号化スキームに対応する空間または時空間ストリームの数に等しい請求項2から8のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 前記フィードバック報告は、複数のOFDMトーンを含む各OFDMトーングループに含まれる一つのOFDMトーンだけに対応する角度値およびPT−SNRを含む請求項1から9のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 前記モードインジケータがSUモードを示すよう設定されている場合、Ncは、前記受信機にビーム形成するのに使用するべき空間または時空間ストリームの最適数を示し、前記モードインジケータがMUモードを示すよう設定されている場合、Ncは、前記受信機にビーム形成するのに使用するべき空間または時空間ストリームの最大数を示す請求項2から5および9のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- ネットワークインターフェースを備える装置であって、
前記ネットワークインターフェースは、
通信チャネルに対応する一つ以上の空間または時空間ストリームのそれぞれについての複数の直交周波数分割多重(OFDM)トーンについて、チャネルデータを決定し、
i)前記一つ以上の空間または時空間ストリーム、および、ii)前記複数のOFDMトーンのうち一つ以上のOFDMトーン、に対応付けられた複数の角度値を決定して、圧縮形態の前記チャネルデータを決定し、
前記一つ以上の空間または時空間ストリームのそれぞれについて、i)前記複数のOFDMトーンのうち一つ以上のOFDMトーンに対応付けられるトーン毎信号対雑音比(PT−SNR)を決定し、かつ、ii)前記複数のOFDMトーンのうち一つ以上のOFDMトーンに対応付けられる平均信号対雑音比(avg−SNR)を決定し、
少なくとも、i)前記一つ以上の空間または時空間ストリームおよび前記一つ以上のOFDMトーンに対応付けられた前記複数の角度値、ii)前記一つ以上の空間または時空間ストリームおよび前記一つ以上のOFDMトーンに対応付けられた前記PT−SNR、並びに、iii)前記一つ以上の空間または時空間ストリームに対応付けられた前記avg−SNR、を含むようにフィードバック報告を生成し、
受信機から送信機に送信されるデータユニットに前記フィードバック報告を含める
装置。 - 前記データユニットは、制御フィールドを含み、
前記制御フィールドは、少なくとも、i)前記チャネルデータがシングルユーザ(SU)モードまたはマルチユーザ(MU)モードで使用されるかを示すモードインジケータ、ii)前記通信チャネルに対応するチャネル行列の列数を示す列数(Nc)インジケータ、および、iii)前記複数の角度値の各角度値を量子化するのに使用されるビット数を示すコードブック情報、を含む
請求項12に記載の装置。 - 前記モードインジケータがSUモードを示すよう設定されている場合、前記ネットワークインターフェースは、前記PT−SNRを省略する請求項13に記載の装置。
- 前記コードブック情報は、前記SUモードと前記MUモードとで異なって解釈される請求項13または14に記載の装置。
- 前記コードブック情報は、1ビットを使用して示される請求項13から15のいずれか1項に記載の装置。
- 前記フィードバック報告を生成するとき、前記avg−SNRを量子化して8ビットの量子化avg−SNRを生成する請求項12から16のいずれか1項に記載の装置。
- 一つ以上のトーンの前記PT−SNRは、対応する前記OFDMトーンの前記PT−SNRと前記avg−SNRとの差分によって表される請求項12から17のいずれか1項に記載の装置。
- 前記差分は、4ビットに量子化される請求項18に記載の装置。
