Description
本発明は、組織欠損部の修復のための合成人工補綴組織スキャフォールドを提供する。本明細書で使用される、種々の類似語を含む概念である用語「合成人工補綴組織スキャフォールド」および「骨組織スキャフォールド」および「組織スキャフォールド」および「合成人工骨」等々は、本明細書全体を通して相互互換的に使用されている。一実施形態では、合成人工補綴組織スキャフォールドは、生体組織内に移植されると生体吸収性である。一実施形態では、合成人工補綴組織スキャフォールドは、生体組織内に移植されると骨伝導性である。一実施形態では、合成人工補綴組織スキャフォールドは、生体組織内に移植されると骨刺激性である。一実施形態では、合成人工補綴組織スキャフォールドは、生体組織内に移植されると耐荷重性である。
Claims (10)
- 合成人工骨補綴を製造する方法であって、
塑性的に成形可能なバッチを得るため、ガラス繊維を接着剤、孔形成剤および液体と混合するステップであって、該ガラス繊維と該接着剤は、生体活性組成物の前駆物質である組成物を含んでいる、ステップと、
前記ガラス繊維を分散させる前記塑性成形可能なバッチを前記接着剤および前記孔形成剤と混合して、均質な塊体である成形可能なバッチを得るステップであって、前記ガラス繊維は重なり合い絡み合う状態である、ステップと、
前記成形可能なバッチを所望形状に成形して成形物を得るステップと、
ほぼ全ての液体を除去するために前記成形物を乾燥するステップと、
前記孔形成剤を除去するステップと、
前記ガラス繊維を前記接着剤と反応させるべく前記成形物を加熱して、生体活性組成物を含んだ多孔質繊維スキャフォールドを形成するステップと、
を含んでいることを特徴とする方法。 - 前記接着剤は酸化カルシウムを含んでいることを特徴とする請求項1記載の方法。
- 前記接着剤は燐酸塩を含んでいることを特徴とする請求項1記載の方法。
- 前記接着剤は酸化カルシウムと燐酸塩の混合物を含んでいることを特徴とする請求項1記載の方法。
- 前記ガラス繊維はシリカガラス繊維を含んでいることを特徴とする請求項1記載の方法。
- 前記ガラス繊維は酸化カルシウムの含有量が30重量%未満であるカルシウム/ケイ酸塩繊維を含んでいることを特徴とする請求項1記載の方法。
- 前記ガラス繊維はリン酸塩ガラス繊維を含んでいることを特徴とする請求項1記載の方法。
- 前記接着剤は前記ガラス繊維のコーティング剤となることを特徴とする請求項1記載の方法。
- 前記成形物は、前記生体活性組成物の脱ガラス化温度を超える温度に加熱されることを特徴とする請求項1記載の方法。
- 前記成形物に前駆物質を混入するステップ、及び、前記ガラス繊維を当該前駆物質と反応させるための第二の加熱ステップ、を更に含んでいることを特徴とする請求項1記載の方法。
