Abstract
Description
好ましい一実施形態として、平均キュー長から計算されるマーキング確率に、ユーザの現在の変調符号化方式(MCS)に基づくインデックスを乗算することによって動作するワイヤレス重み付けアルゴリズムを提案する。原理的には、インデックスは、MCSのスペクトル効率、すなわち、1つのリソースブロックで送信されるビット数に反比例する。
端末と基地局との間のチャネル損失や信号減衰に応じて、相異なる送信電力レベルを使用可能である。例えば、基地局からの端末の距離が増大するほど、基地局および端末の両方が、より高い送信電力を使用する。これにより、干渉や消費電力が増大する可能性がある。
輻輳寄与は、パケット(例えばIPパケット)レベルで作用する。すなわち、輻輳寄与は、複数のオクテットに適用される。特定の精緻化として、現在のチャネル特性が関連する期間を反映するように重み付け関数を設計することを提案する。これは、無線リソース使用率(例えばMCS)を表す個々の値を時間平均することによって実現可能である。
ここで説明した一般的方法は、アクティブキュー管理のさまざまな具体的実施に使用可能である。

Claims (13)
- ネットワーク要素における平均キュー長に基づくキュー管理機能が使用されるワイヤレスネットワーク、特にIP(Internet Protocol)ネットワークの動作方法において、
重み付け関数の結果に平均キュー長を結合すなわち乗算することにより、キュー管理機能内で使用するための結合輻輳寄与を求め、重み付け関数が、ワイヤレスチャネル条件に関するユーザごとの情報を考慮に入れることを特徴とする、ワイヤレスネットワークの動作方法。 - ユーザごとの情報が、ある情報単位を送信するためのリソース使用率および/または送信コストを含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 重み付け関数が、チャネルリソース使用率を輻輳寄与の係数にマッピングすることを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載の方法。
- 重み付け関数が、MCS(変調符号化方式)に基づくことを特徴とする請求項1ないし3のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 平均キュー長から計算されるマーキングまたは廃棄確率に、ユーザの現在のMCSに基づくインデックスを乗算することを特徴とする請求項4に記載の方法。
- インデックスが、MCSのスペクトル効率に反比例することを特徴とする請求項5に記載の方法。
- 重み付け関数が、送信電力、好ましくは基地局からワイヤレス局または端末へ送信するための送信電力に基づくことを特徴とする請求項1ないし6のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- ダウンリンク上で現在使用されている送信電力が、対応するワイヤレス端末宛のパケットに対する輻輳寄与にマッピングされることを特徴とする請求項1ないし7のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 重み付け関数において、現在のチャネル特性が、関連する期間を反映し、これが、リソース使用率を表す個々の値を時間平均することによって実現されることを特徴とする請求項1ないし8のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 結合輻輳寄与が、パケット廃棄確率、好ましくはRED(ランダム早期検出)のためのパケット廃棄確率を求めるために使用されることを特徴とする請求項1ないし9のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 結合輻輳寄与が、輻輳マーキング確率、好ましくはECN(明示的輻輳通知)のための輻輳マーキング確率を求めるために使用されることを特徴とする請求項1ないし10のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- ネットワークのワイヤレス基地局において実行されることを特徴とする請求項1ないし11のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- ネットワーク要素における平均キュー長に基づくキュー管理機能が使用されるワイヤレスネットワーク、特にIP(Internet Protocol)ネットワーク、好ましくは請求項1ないし12のいずれか1項に記載の方法を実行するワイヤレスネットワークにおいて、
キュー管理機能内で使用するための結合輻輳寄与を求めるために重み付け関数の結果に平均キュー長を結合すなわち乗算する手段を備え、重み付け関数が、ワイヤレスチャネル条件に関するユーザごとの情報を考慮に入れることを特徴とするワイヤレスネットワーク。
