Claims (37)
- 取付端部を有するベースロッドと、
長手方向軸に沿って前記ベースロッドに対して並進可能な拡張可能ロッドと、
前記拡張可能ロッドの少なくとも一部を内部に密閉するハウジングと、
第1の極と第2の極とを備え、前記ハウジング内に回転可能に装着され且つ上部磁石カバー及び底部磁石カバーにより密閉された磁石と、
前記磁石及び前記拡張可能ロッドに関連付けられ、前記磁石からの入力回転と比較して前記拡張可能ロッドへの出力回転を低減するギア減速機構部と、
を備える成長ロッド。 - 前記拡張可能ロッドが、実質的に前記ベースロッドに対する回転なしで前記長手方向軸に沿って移動する、請求項1に記載の成長ロッド。
- 前記ベースロッド及び前記拡張可能ロッドが各々、患者の体内で取付点に取り付けられる取付端部を含む、請求項1に記載の成長ロッド。
- 前記取付点が、椎弓根スクリュー、フック及びクレードルのうちの1つである、請求項3に記載の成長ロッド。
- 前記ギア減速機構部が、
外部ギア歯と内部ギア歯とを有するキャリアギアと、
フォークと、
前記フォークをギアハウジングに枢着するフォークピンと、
前記フォークピンの周りに前記ギアハウジング内で枢動するラチェットアームと、
前記ラチェットアーム内に装着される歯止めと、
を更に含み、前記内部ギア歯が、前記拡張可能ロッドの上のネジ山と噛合して、前記拡張可能ロッドを前記長手方向軸に沿って前記ベースロッドに対して移動させるようにする、請求項1に記載の成長ロッド。 - 磁場による前記磁石の回転によって前記歯止めを駆動させ、前記ラチェットアームが歯止め歯及び雄ネジの相互作用により前記長手方向軸の周りに前記キャリアギアを枢動させる、請求項5に記載の成長ロッド。

- 前記非磁化可能な材料が、チタン、チタン合金材料、コバルトクロム材料及びポリマー材料の1つを含む、請求項10に記載の成長ロッド。
- 前記成長ロッドに近接して磁場を通過させて前記磁石を前記長手方向軸の周りに回転させるようにすることによって、前記拡張可能ロッドが前記長手方向軸に沿って前記ベースロッドに対して移動される、請求項1に記載の成長ロッド。
- 前記ギア減速機構部が更に、
内部ギア歯を有するギアハウジングと、
外部ギア歯を有するギアホイールと
ネジ付きシャフトを含む、前記ギアホイール内で嵌合されたダイバピンを固定させた駆動ホイールと、

- 前記ギアホイールの回転が、前記ドライバピンを介して前記駆動ホイールに伝達され、前記駆動ホイールの回転により、前記ネジ付きシャフト及び前記キャリアの回転が前記ハウジングから外に前記拡張可能ロッドを移動させるようになる、請求項13に記載の成長ロッド。
- ハウジングに固定されるスライダを更に備え、前記スライダが、前記拡張可能ロッドの回転移動を制限するために前記トルクピンを受ける1対のスロットを含む、請求項13に記載の成長ロッド。
- 前記ギア減速機構部が更に、
内部ギア歯を有するギアハウジングと、
外部ギア歯を有するギアホイールと、
ネジ付きシャフトを含む、前記ギアホイール内で嵌合されたダイバピンを固定させた駆動ホイールと、

前記成長ロッドの長手方向軸に沿って移動し且つ前記ハウジングの第2の端部から延在する拡張可能ロッドと、
前記ハウジング内に装着された磁石と、
ギア減速機構部と、
