Abstract
Description
しかし、塗装されていない金属、コンクリート及びその他の表面からのUV放射反射に対しては溶接操作のシールド効果は限定的である。溶接操作はまた、通路、廊下及び他の者が曝露を避けるために作業する領域から離れて設けられているが、しかしながらこれは、溶接操作が狭い領域で実行される場合にはしばしば実用的なことではない。UV曝露を回避する他の技術はまた、溶接環境周りに警告サインを提示してUV曝露の危険性を強調することが挙げられる。
前記溶接用備品の表面上の第2のイメージを形成するUV活性化色素は、UV放射に応じて、第2のイメージを生じてUV放射が存在することを知らせる。前記溶接備品上に第2のイメージが見え、存在することは、溶接者及びその他の溶接操作付近の作業者に、UV放射が存在し適切な注意が適用されるべきであることを警告する。前記第1のイメージ及び第2のイメージは、UV放射の存在をハイライトするために選択されるか、その他の理由で選択され得る。

Claims (15)
- 溶接用備品であり、前記備品は:
溶接操作の間の電気溶接アークへ曝露される表面を持ち、前記表面が第1のイメージと第2のイメージを持ち、
前記第1のイメージが、前記電気溶接アークへ曝露されることなく前記溶接用備品の表面上に可視的であり、及び
前記第2のイメージが、前記表面上のUV曝露活性化色素から形成され、かつ前記溶接操作の間に前記電気溶接アークにより生成されるUV放射へ曝露された後のみ可視的になる、溶接用備品。 - 請求項に記載の溶接用備品であり、前記溶接用備品が、溶接ヘルメット、溶接ジャケット、ハードハット、クロススカルキャップ、溶接ヘルメットを含むボールキャップ、溶接シャツ、安全メガメ、手袋、バッジ、ワークブーツ、ベルト及び装飾品を含む群から選択される、溶接用備品。
- 請求項1又は2のいずれか1項に記載の溶接用備品であり、前記UV活性化色素が、200と290ナノメートルの間の波長を持つUV放射曝露に対応する、溶接用備品。
- 請求項1乃至3のいずれか1項に記載の溶接用備品であり、前記表面上のUV活性化色素から形成される第2のイメージが、前記溶接操作の間の電気溶接アークにより生成されるUV放射への曝露から回避された後可逆的に非可視的になる、溶接用備品。
- 請求項1乃至4のいずれか1項に記載の溶接用備品であり、前記表面にUV活性化色素から形成される前記第2のイメージが、前記溶接操作の間に電気溶接アークにより生成されるUV放射の規定の量へ曝露された後のみ、可視的となる、溶接用備品。
- 溶接操作の間にUV放射を検出するためのシステムであり、前記システムが:
溶接操作の際に電気溶接アークを生成するように適合される溶接システムを含み、前記電気溶接アークがUV放射を生成し;
特に請求項1乃至5に記載の溶接用備品を含み、UV曝露インジケータなどのUV曝露を検出するための手段を含み;及び
前記UV曝露を示すための手段が、少なくとも第1の状態及び第2の状態を有し、かつUV活性化色素などの、前記溶接操作の際に電気溶接アークにより生成されるUV放射への曝露を可視的に示すための手段を含む、システム。 - 請求項6に記載のシステムであり、可視的に示すことが、前記第1の状態から、前記溶接の際に電気溶接アークにより生成されるUV放射への曝露の際にUV曝露インジケータの少なくとも前記第2の状態への移行である、システム。
- 請求項6又は7のいずれか1項に記載のシステムであり、前記可視的に示すことが、前記可視スペクトルの色変化である、システム。
- 請求項6乃至8のいずれか1項に記載のシステムであり、前記第2の状態がシンボルを含む、システム。
- 請求項6乃至9のいずれか1項に記載のシステムであり、前記溶接用備品が溶接ヘルメトであり、前記UV曝露インジケータが、前記溶接ヘルメットの表面に組み込まれ及び/又は前記UV曝露インジケータが前記溶接ヘルメットの外側表面に組み込まれており及び/又は前記曝露インジケータが、前記溶接ヘルメットの内側表面上に組み込まれて、前記溶接操作の際に前記溶接ヘルメット内部へUV放射が進入していることを示す、システム。
- 請求項6乃至10のいずれか1項に記載のシステムであり、前記UV曝露インジケータが、前記溶接操作の近くの人に着用される衣服の部品に適用されるように適合されたステッカである、システム。
- 請求項6乃至11のいずれか1項に記載のシステムであり、前記UV、活性化色素がUV放射の規定の量の曝露を可視的に示すことを提供するように適合され;前記UV放射が、波長範囲10から400ナノメートルの放射を有し;及び/又は前記UV放射が200から290ナノメートルの波長範囲を持つ、システム。
- 請求項6乃至12のいずれか1項に記載のシステムであり、前記可視的に示すことが可逆的であり、及び/又は前記可視的に示すことが、UV放射への曝露の後少なくとも2分間は持続される、システム。
- 請求項6乃至13のいずれか1項に記載のシステムであり、前記UV曝露インジケータが勾配状態を有し、前記可視的に示すことが、前記溶接操作の際に電気溶接アークにより生成されるUV放射への蓄積された曝露を示す勾配状態の間の移行である、システム。
- 溶接操作の際にUV曝露放射曝露を検出するための方法であり、前記方法が:
特に請求項6乃至14のいずれか1項に記載の溶接システムを有し、溶接操作の際の電気溶接アークを生成するように適合され、前記電気溶接アークがUV放射を生成することができ;
少なくとも第1の状態と第2に状態を持つUV放射曝露インジケータを有し、前記UV曝露インジケータが、電気溶接アークにより生成されるUV放射へ曝露されると可視的に示すように適合されるUV曝露活性化色素を含み、前記可視的に示すことが、前記第1の状態から、前記UV曝露インジケータの少なくとも第2の状態への移行であり;
前記溶接システムを操作して電気溶接アークを生成させてUV放射を生成させ、前記UV曝露インジケータを、少なくとも前記第1の状態と電気溶接アークからのUV放射への曝露を示す前記第2の状態との間へ移行させ;及び
前記UV曝露インジケータをモニタし、及び規定のUV曝露が前記UV曝露インジケータで示された後に前記溶接操作を止める、方法。
