Description

Claims (17)
- 骨を治療するためのデバイスであって、
骨安定化インプラントが目的の骨に所望の位置で載置される場合、細長本体が目的の骨の部分へ所望の経路に沿って通過するように、選択された角度で前記骨安定化インプラントから離れて伸び、前記細長本体が前記細長本体の遠位端において開口部へ伸びる内腔を画定するように、前記骨安定化インプラントに結合するように構成された細長本体と、
第1の位置と第2の位置の間の移動のための、前記細長本体の前記内腔内に収容された展開部材と、
前記ワイヤの遠位端が前記内腔内に収容される挿入位置と、前記ワイヤの前記遠位端が前記細長本体の前記遠位端内の前記開口部の外側に遠位に伸びた展開位置との間を、前記細長本体の前記遠位端に隣接した骨の部分を貫通するように、前記展開部材が移動すると前記ワイヤが移動するように、前記展開部材に結合した複数のワイヤであって、前記ワイヤが細長本体の外側に伸びる場合、アンカー形状を想定するようにバイアスされた、ワイヤと、
を備える、デバイス。 - 前記細長本体及び前記骨安定化インプラントが、互いに一体形成されている請求項1に記載のデバイス。
- 前記細長本体の近位端が、前記骨安定化インプラントにおける開口部に選択的に結合するように構成される請求項1に記載のデバイス。
- 前記細長本体の近位端が、前記骨安定化インプラントにおける前記開口部の内壁の糸に対応する糸を有する請求項3に記載のデバイス。
- 前記アンカー形状において、前記ワイヤが前記細長本体から遠位に第1の距離伸び、次いで前記細長本体の縦軸から離れて放射状にカーブする請求項1に記載のデバイス。
- 前記アンカー形状において、前記ワイヤの遠位端が近位に面する請求項5に記載のデバイス。
- 前記アンカー形状において、第1のワイヤ及び第2のワイヤが、約90°〜約180°の角度を通してカーブする請求項6に記載のデバイス。
- 前記ワイヤの遠位端が骨貫通チップとして形成される請求項1に記載のデバイス。
- 前記ワイヤが形状記憶材料を含む請求項1に記載のデバイス。
- 前記形状記憶材料がニチノールである請求項9に記載のデバイス。
- 前記展開部材はボルトであり、前記ボルトの糸は前記内腔の内壁に糸に対応して係合する請求項1に記載のデバイス。
- 前記展開部材が前記細長部材を通して長手方向に移動するために回転させると、前記ワイヤがこれに対して回転せずに前記内腔を通して長手方向に移動するように、前記ワイヤを前記細長部材に非回転自在に結合し、前記展開部材に回転自在に結合する請求項11に記載のデバイス。
- 前記骨安定化インプラントが骨プレート、釘、及びアンカーエレメントのうちの1つである請求項1に記載のデバイス。
- 骨を治療する方法であって、
細長本体の遠位端の開口部を通して伸びる内腔と、内腔内で受け取られた移動自在の展開部材とを含み、前記展開部材は挿入形態において内腔内で受け取られた多数のワイヤに結合されている細長本体を具備するデバイスを、目的の骨のヘッド部内の所望の位置に挿入し、
前記デバイスが所望の位置にある場合、前記目的の骨に前記デバイスを固定するために前記細長本体の前記遠位端に隣接した前記目的の骨の位置を通して前記内腔の外へ遠位に前記ワイヤを動作するために前記内腔を通して展開部材を移動する、
方法。 - さらに、前記目的の骨の外に結合した骨安定化インプラントに前記デバイスを結合することを含む、請求項14に記載の方法。
- 前記ワイヤの第1の位置及び第2の位置が、その遠位部が前記細長本体の縦軸に対して外へ放射線状に曲がるアンカー形状にバイアスされる、請求項14に記載の方法。
- 前記展開部材が前記内腔の内面に糸的に係合するボルトであり、前記内腔を通して長手方向に前記ボルトを移動する前記内腔に対してボルトを回転する、請求項14に記載の方法。
