Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a technique for correcting image blur caused by camera shake or the like.
There has been proposed an apparatus that performs image blur correction by controlling vibration correction of an optical system, that is, vibration due to hand shake or the like. In the image blur correction apparatus, an actuator that drives an optical member for shake correction is controlled, and processing for smoothing the drive current of the actuator is performed in order to reduce the influence on the image sensor due to the magnetic field generated by the actuator. At that time, the power consumption of the imaging device increases with the power consumed by the smoothing circuit.
On the other hand, in recent years, the size and thickness of imaging devices have been reduced, and the size of batteries has also been reduced. Therefore, reduction in power consumption is required. Patent Document 1 discloses a method of reducing power consumption by forming a resonance circuit using a coil and a capacitor at a power supply terminal of a clock pulse for driving a horizontal transfer register in an interline transfer type CCD image sensor. Yes.
The conventional technique disclosed in Patent Document 1 can reduce the power consumption of the image sensor, but the image blur correction apparatus is always driven. For this reason, even when the amount of image blur is small and correction is unnecessary, the actuator for image blur correction is driven, so that unnecessary power consumption becomes a problem. That is, there is a demand for measures for further reducing power consumption.
An object of the present invention is to reduce the power consumption of a drive unit that drives an image blur correction unit in accordance with the control accuracy of the image blur correction.
In order to solve the above-described problems, an apparatus according to the present invention is an apparatus having an image blur correcting unit for reducing blurring of a subject image formed on an imaging surface of an imaging unit by an imaging optical system and a driving unit thereof. An image blur correction apparatus that is mounted and performs image blur correction by controlling the drive means, the detection means for detecting shake of the apparatus, and the drive means is controlled based on a detection signal of the detection means The control means for correcting the image blur due to the shake of the apparatus and the smoothing means for smoothing the current flowing through the driving means are provided. When the control means changes the control accuracy of the image blur correction by setting the drive frequency of the image blur correction means to a value higher than the resonance frequency of the smoothing means and the drive means, the control accuracy is high. The drive frequency is increased when the control accuracy is lower than in the case.
According to the present invention, it is possible to reduce the power consumption of the drive unit that drives the image blur correction unit in accordance with the control accuracy of the image blur correction.
Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings. The image blur correction device mounted on the optical device or the imaging device according to each embodiment performs image blur correction by controlling an actuator that drives an optical member.
[First Embodiment]
A first embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to FIGS. Before describing the function and operation of the imaging apparatus according to the first embodiment, the configuration of the entire imaging apparatus will be described with reference to FIG.
FIG. 2 shows a configuration example of the entire imaging apparatus according to the present embodiment. The

Next, the operation of the imaging apparatus having the above configuration will be described.
The

H=(N/2r)・I [A/m] (1)
In the present embodiment, as a driving method of the
[Equation 1]
H = (N / 2r) · I [A / m] (1)
In the equation (1), N represents the number of turns of the drive coil, r represents the radius of the drive coil, and I represents the current. As can be seen from the equation (1), since the magnetic field strength H is proportional to the current I, the magnetic field generated around the motor may always change as the current value changes. In the following, the case where the
FIG. 3C is a diagram illustrating a configuration example of the
When the drive current varies greatly when the drive coils 302 and 303 (see FIG. 3B) are energized, the generated magnetic field also increases greatly. The imaging signal of the imaging element varies due to the influence of the magnetic field variation generated by the drive coils 302 and 303. At that time, an LC filter is used to reduce the influence of causing horizontal stripes or the like in the image indicated by the signal output from the video
Next, the waveform of each part will be described with reference to FIG.
FIG. 4A is a waveform diagram illustrating the change in the output voltage of the H-

Next, the photographing operation of the present embodiment will be described with reference to the flowchart of FIG. The following processing is performed by the
First, the
In S109, the PWM frequencies of the
On the other hand, when the determination result in S101 is not the playback mode, that is, in the shooting mode, the process proceeds to S102. The
After S103 and S104, the process proceeds to S105, and the
In each step of S103, S104, S106, and S109, the PWM frequency set in the band exceeding the resonance frequency in FIG. 3B satisfies the following relationship.
PWM frequency during shooting (main exposure) <PWM frequency during EVF display <PWM frequency when image blur correction is not performed ≤ PWM frequency during posture detection This setting enables image blur correction when image blur correction is unnecessary or image blur correction. When the required shooting image quality is relatively low, such as when not in use, the control accuracy of image blur correction can be made lower than the control accuracy required during shooting. That is, power saving can be realized by increasing the PWM frequency.
When changing the PWM frequency in the drive unit, the frequency changing process may be performed in consideration of the still image shooting size and image quality. Specifically, when the shooting size of a still image is smaller than a threshold value, it is allowed to lower the image blur correction performance (control resolution) compared to when the shooting size is equal to or larger than the threshold value. Alternatively, when the image quality of the still image is lower than the reference, it is allowed to lower the image blur correction performance compared to the case where the image quality is higher than the reference. Therefore, in such a case, the power consumption can be kept low by increasing the PWM frequency.
According to the first embodiment, the power consumption of the image blur correction actuator can be reduced by setting the drive frequency high when the control accuracy of the image blur correction is not required.

[Second Embodiment]
Next, a second embodiment of the present invention will be described. Since the configuration of the imaging apparatus according to the second embodiment is the same as that of the first embodiment, differences will be mainly described below, and the same components as those of the first embodiment have already been described. The detailed description is abbreviate | omitted by using the used code | symbol.
The shooting operation in the second embodiment will be described with reference to the flowchart of FIG.
First, the
When the camera shake correction function is set to OFF, in S913, the PWM frequencies of the
Subsequently, the
In step S902, the
When the moving image shooting is not performed, the EVF display state where the still image shooting is performed is set. In S907, the PWM frequencies of the
In next step S908, it is determined whether or not the zoom position has been changed. If it is determined that the zoom position has been changed, the process returns to S907, and the process of changing to an appropriate PWM frequency is performed again. The PWM frequencies of the
The
If it is determined in S902 that moving image shooting is to be performed, the process proceeds to S903, and the PWM frequencies of the
In the present embodiment, the PWM frequency is changed according to the frame rate period of the imaging signal and the zoom position. For example, as the frame rate period is longer, image blurring is more likely to occur in a moving image, and image blurring is more likely to occur in a still image on the telephoto side than on the wide side. For this reason, the longer the frame rate period is, or the higher the image blur correction accuracy is required on the tele side than on the wide side. Therefore, by changing the PWM frequency as follows, power consumption in image blur correction can be reduced.
1. As the frame rate period is shorter, the PWM frequency is changed to a higher value.
2. The PWM frequency is changed to a higher value as the telephoto side is wider, that is, the imaging magnification is smaller.
When comparing the PWM frequency at the same zoom position, there is a difference in shutter speed and frame rate period between moving image shooting and still image shooting, but under the same shooting conditions, the PWM frequency satisfies the following relationship: And
PWM frequency when image blur correction is turned on during still image shooting <PWM frequency when image blur correction is turned on during moving image shooting <PWM frequency when image blur correction is off.
After S904, the
In the PWM frequency changing and setting process, the PWM frequency may be changed in consideration of the image size of still images and moving images, the image quality of still images and moving images, and the like. Specifically, when the still image shooting size is small, it is possible to perform shooting with lower shake correction control accuracy than when the still image shooting size is large. Therefore, in this case, the power consumption can be kept low by setting the PWM frequency high.
According to the second embodiment, the power consumption of the actuator can be reduced by controlling the drive frequency of the image blur correction unit according to the shooting conditions.
