Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to an electronic device that is built in a device having an antenna function and is mainly used by being worn on a person or an animal.
Conventionally, as an example of an electronic device that has an antenna function and is mounted on an arm, a portable receiving device disclosed in Patent Document 1 is disclosed. This portable receiving device has a digital circuit part constituting a part of a receiving circuit and a receiving antenna on one surface of a sandwich structure wiring board in which an electromagnetic shielding layer is inserted between both front and back surfaces, On the other surface of the substrate, there is an analog circuit portion that faces the receiving antenna via the wiring substrate and constitutes another part of the receiving circuit. In the portable receiver having this configuration, the analog circuit part that is susceptible to noise is electromagnetically shielded by the electromagnetic shielding layer interposed in the wiring board with respect to the digital circuit part that is the source of high-frequency digital noise. This electromagnetic shielding effectively suppresses leakage and mixing of noise components from the digital circuit section to the analog circuit section. Therefore, portable receivers can be miniaturized by arranging the digital circuit part and the analog circuit part close to each other, and can further reduce the size and reduce the influence of noise. Can be improved.
However, in the conventional technique, it is possible to suppress the influence of the digital circuit unit and achieve downsizing of the portable receiving device. However, when further downsizing is desired, the general technique shown in Patent Document 1 is used. In such a configuration, that is, a display body such as a liquid crystal panel is connected to the receiving antenna side with a flat cable, the impedance of the receiving antenna varies due to the influence of the liquid crystal panel or the flat cable, and the radiation efficiency is reduced. There was a problem that deterioration and the like occurred.
Further, in the conventional technique, the antenna, the display body portion, and the digital circuit are arranged side by side in a plane, and there is a problem that the area of the display body portion is limited. For this reason, in a high-performance and high-performance electronic device, not only a large amount of information cannot be displayed on the display unit, but also an external design of the exterior case in the electronic device is greatly restricted. This is due to a technical limitation that the conventional receiving antenna must be disposed near the surface of the outer case in order to receive radio waves. Furthermore, in an electronic device used by being attached to a human body or an animal, the transmission / reception characteristics of the antenna should not greatly vary depending on the wearing state.
SUMMARY An advantage of some aspects of the invention is to solve at least a part of the problems described above, and the invention can be implemented as the following application examples or forms.
Application Example 1 An electronic apparatus according to this application example includes an antenna unit for transmitting and receiving radio waves, a display body unit for displaying information, and at least one wiring board. The antenna unit includes a plate-shaped dielectric, a first conductive layer disposed on one surface of the dielectric, and a second conductive layer disposed on the other surface. The first conductive layer is located on a surface of the antenna unit on the side close to the wiring substrate and connected to the signal potential of the wiring substrate, and the second conductive layer is connected to the antenna unit. It is located on the surface far from the wiring board and connected to the ground potential of the wiring board, and the wiring board is disposed between the back surface of the display body and the first conductive layer. Features.
According to the electronic device of this application example, the antenna unit is configured by the plate-like dielectric and the first conductive layer and the second conductive layer disposed on both sides thereof, and the display unit, the wiring board, and the antenna The parts can be placed one on top of the other. As a result, most of the upper surface side of the electronic device can be occupied by the display body, and a large amount of information can be displayed. In addition, it is possible to provide an appropriate shield layer on the wiring board disposed between the first conductive layer of the antenna unit and the display body unit, and to prevent noise generated by the display body unit from entering the antenna unit. be able to. Further, the second conductive layer on the side of the antenna portion that is remote from the wiring board is connected to the ground potential of the wiring board. As a result, the bottom surface of the electronic device attached to the human body or the like is shielded by the ground potential, and unstable elements due to changes in the wearing state can be reduced. In addition, the display unit and the wiring board are close to each other, making it easy to connect them. Electronic devices can also reduce the degree of influence of the wiring on the characteristics of the antenna unit, and maintain and improve transmission / reception performance. It is.
Application Example 2 In the electronic device according to the application example described above, the connection between the antenna unit and the wiring board is such that the core wire at one end of the coaxial cable is on the surface of the antenna unit on the side close to the wiring board. Connected to the first conductive layer, the outer skin is connected to the second conductive layer through a through hole, and at the other end of the coaxial cable, the core wire is connected to the signal potential of the wiring board, and the outer skin is connected to the wiring board. It is preferably connected to the ground potential.
According to this configuration, wiring to the second conductive layer far from the wiring board of the antenna unit is facilitated by using the coaxial cable. In other words, since the coaxial cable is on the surface of the antenna portion close to the wiring substrate, the length of the coaxial cable can be minimized and the antenna portion and the wiring substrate can be connected. As a result, loss and characteristic deterioration due to wiring to the antenna unit can be minimized, and transmission / reception performance can be maximized.
Application Example 3 In the electronic device according to the application example described above, the connection between the antenna unit and the wiring board is performed by connecting the core wire at one end of the coaxial cable on the surface of the antenna unit on the side close to the wiring board. The outer skin is connected to the second conductive layer through a hole, and the outer skin is connected to the first conductive layer. At the other end of the coaxial cable, the outer skin is connected to the signal potential of the wiring board, and the core wire is connected to the wiring board. It is preferably connected to the ground potential.
According to this configuration, wiring to the second conductive layer far from the wiring board of the antenna unit is facilitated by using the coaxial cable. In this case, since the core wire of the coaxial cable is used for connection to the ground potential of the second conductive layer, the characteristic disturbance due to the leakage current flowing between the first conductive layer of the antenna portion and the outer sheath of the coaxial cable is also It can be minimized. As a result, it is possible to maximize transmission / reception performance while minimizing loss and characteristic deterioration due to wiring to the antenna unit.
Application Example 4 In the electronic device according to the application example described above, the connection between the antenna unit and the wiring board is performed by connecting the core wire at one end of the coaxial cable on the surface of the antenna unit on the side far from the wiring board. Connected to the first conductive layer through a hole and connected to the second conductive layer, and at the other end of the coaxial cable, the core wire is connected to the signal potential of the wiring board, and the outer cover is connected to the wiring board. It is preferably connected to the ground potential.
According to this configuration, in the wiring connecting the antenna portion and the wiring board, it flows through the capacitance between the outer sheath of the coaxial cable and the second conductive layer of the antenna, or between the outer sheath of the coaxial cable and the ground potential of the wiring substrate. The occurrence of leakage current can be suppressed and its influence can be minimized. As a result, loss and characteristic deterioration due to wiring to the antenna unit can be minimized, and transmission / reception performance can be maximized.
Application Example 5 In the electronic device according to the application example described above, the electronic device further includes a battery for supplying power, and the battery is disposed on a side opposite to the side on which the wiring board of the antenna unit is disposed. It is preferable that
According to this configuration, since the battery that needs to be replaced can be placed near the surface of the outer case of the electronic device, the battery can be easily replaced. Since the second conductive layer on the battery side of the antenna unit is connected to the ground potential of the wiring board, even if the battery is placed at this position, the influence on the antenna characteristics is small and transmission / reception performance is not impaired.
Application Example 6 In the electronic device according to the application example described above, the shape of the dielectric of the antenna unit and the shape of at least one of the first conductive layer and the second dielectric layer are n (n is 0, 1, 2, 3 or 4), and at least a short side of the rectangle is a conductor portion formed on the display body portion or the wiring board. It is preferable that the antenna is disposed on the outer side from the position that enters the inside of the larger outer edge by a length of two hundredths of the wavelength of the radio wave.
According to this configuration, it is desirable that the display surface shape of the display body portion of the electronic device is rectangular, and if the antenna portion and the wiring board are also the same shape as the display body portion, each element is placed in the exterior case of the electronic device. It can be accommodated efficiently. When the electronic device is substantially rectangular or the like and the corners need to be rounded, the corners of the antenna unit and the wiring board may be appropriately cut off accordingly. When the antenna unit is a planar antenna, the magnetic current generated at the outer edge of the antenna unit determines the antenna performance. In this case, if the outer edge part of the antenna part is outside the position on the larger outer edge of the display body part or the wiring board from the inner edge by the 2 / 100th wavelength of the received radio wave, the antenna part is It has been confirmed by simulation that the performance can be maintained. Therefore, according to this configuration, it is possible to realize an electronic device that is compact and excellent in appearance design of the outer case without affecting the antenna performance.
Application Example 7 In the electronic device according to the application example described above, the electronic device further includes a conductor larger than a maximum outer shape of any of the display body portion, the wiring board, and the antenna portion, It is preferable that the battery is disposed on the side opposite to the side on which the wiring board is disposed.
According to this configuration, the conductor provided in the electronic device has an effect of ensuring the ground potential, for example, and can further stabilize the operation of the electronic device. The conductor may have a configuration in which a part of the outer case of the electronic device is formed of a conductive material such as metal.
この通信システムは、いわゆるGPS(Global Positioning System)システムである。 Hereinafter, a preferred example of the electronic device of the present invention will be described with reference to the accompanying drawings. Here, an outline will be described by taking as an example an electronic apparatus adapted to a communication system that receives and uses a positioning signal or the like by radio waves from a position information satellite or the like. This communication system is a so-called GPS (Global Positioning System) system.
FIG. 1 is a schematic diagram showing an outline of a GPS system. As shown in FIG. 1, a

Embodiment 1 demonstrates an example of the structure about the electronic wristwatch 1 provided with the GPS receiving function. FIG. 2 is a cross-sectional view illustrating a configuration including an antenna unit in the electronic wristwatch according to the first embodiment, and FIG. 4 is a block diagram illustrating a circuit configuration of the electronic wristwatch. In FIG. 2, the scale is changed in the vertical and horizontal directions so that the structure, particularly in the vertical direction (thickness direction) can be clearly understood. As shown in FIGS. 2 and 1, an electronic wristwatch 1 with a GPS reception function includes an
The
And the liquid
Since the
In addition, at least the short side edge of the
Next, the liquid

The
Here, the
FIG. 5A is a plan view of the
On the side of the
The
The
Next, reception of radio waves including a positioning signal from the
As shown in FIG.5 (c), the
In some cases, the outer shape of the
When a radio wave arrives at the
It has been found by simulation and experiment that the amount of this clearance does not have a serious effect on the antenna performance if it takes the following values. The clearance will be described with reference to FIG. Conductive materials such as metal are provided in each range of the distance Δp from the outer edge of the
In the electronic wristwatch 1, if the outer shape of the
As described above, in the electronic wristwatch 1 according to the first embodiment, the

Next, another form of the antenna unit will be described. FIG. 6 is a cross-sectional view illustrating an antenna unit configuration in the electronic wristwatch of the second embodiment. The

Next, another form of the antenna unit will be described. FIG. 7 is a cross-sectional view showing an antenna unit configuration in the electronic wristwatch of the third embodiment. The
In the electronic wristwatch 1 or the
As shown in FIG. 7, the
