Description

The present invention relates to a printed matter having a latent image that can be visualized using a developing tool such as a line filter.

2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, there is known a printed matter in which a latent image composed of a background formed by lines and a part of lines that are shifted in pitch is printed (Patent Document 1, etc.). This is used as a security device because a latent image cannot be visually observed but a latent image portion can be visualized when a line filter is used.
This is because the pitch of the background and the latent image is deviated, so when the line filter is overlapped, the background line and the line filter are overlapped, and the shifted latent image part appears thick and emphasized. The latent image is recognized by the overlapping of the line and the line filter in the image area, the latent image is recognized by the white portion of the shifted portion, and the latent image is recognized by the moire phenomenon of the latent image area and the line filter. This technology can be confirmed.
A technique for providing a plurality of types of latent images by using a plurality of lines with different directions as a line is also known (Patent Document 1, etc.).

特開2001−213042JP 2001-213042 A

However, in the conventional line latent image, for example, as shown in FIG. 9, the background part and the latent image part are continuous. May be recognized, and the boundary between the latent image and the background may be confirmed. Therefore, the presence or absence of a latent image is confirmed, and depending on the situation, the contents of the latent image may be known.
Therefore, it is an object of the present invention to provide a line latent image printed matter in which the presence or absence of the latent image or the content of the latent image cannot be confirmed visually.

Hereinafter, the present invention will be described in detail.
FIG. 1 is a schematic view showing an example of a printed material according to the present invention. FIG. 2 is a schematic sectional view showing an example of a printed material according to the present invention. 4 and 5 are explanatory diagrams showing examples of background pixels and latent image pixels of the printed material according to the present invention.
The printed material 1 of the present invention includes a base material 2 and a printing unit 3 provided on the base material 2.
The printing unit 3 includes a background pixel 4 and a latent image pixel 6, and each of the background pixel 4 and the latent image pixel 6 is configured by so-called lines formed by forming lines at a constant pitch.

The line 5 constituting the background pixel 4 and the line 7 constituting the latent image pixel 6 are formed in the same direction and the same pitch, and are formed by shifting the pitch. The angle between lines 5 and 7 is less than ± 1 °, preferably less than 0.1 °, and more preferably less than 0.01 °. The pitch of line 5 and line 7 is not particularly limited as long as it is shifted so that the latent image can be visualized by using a developing tool, but is typically shifted by a half pitch.
The line width of the line 5 and the line width of the line 7 are preferably substantially the same. Specifically, the line width of the line 5 and the line 7 is configured to be about 0.01 to 1 mm, and the line width of the line 7 with respect to the line width of the line 5 is in the range of 95 to 100%, preferably It is preferably in the range of 99 to 101%, more preferably in the range of 99.9 to 100.1%.
The pitch of the line 6 is comprised about 0.01-2 mm.

The present invention is characterized in that a background and a latent image composed of lines are formed as pixels, and further, the background pixels 4 and the latent image pixels 6 have discontinuous portions 8 that are not continuous. Since there is a discontinuous portion, it becomes difficult to recognize the boundary between the background lines and the latent image lines, making it difficult to confirm the presence or absence of the latent image.

The size of the background pixel and the latent image pixel is preferably in the range of 0.01 to 5 mm 2 . If it is less than this, it is too small for the line to enter. If it is more than this, the pixels of the latent image pattern are too coarse to be used.
The shape of the pixel may be any shape such as a square shape, a polygonal shape, or a round shape. Among these, a quadrangular shape, a triangular shape, or a hexagonal shape is preferable because the gaps are uniform. Furthermore, a quadrangular shape is preferable because it is easy to insert a line inside. In the case of a quadrangular shape, one side is preferably within a range of 0.2 to 2 mm.

A plurality of types of latent image pixels and background pixels can be provided. Specifically, a plurality of background pixels having different line directions (angles) and a plurality of latent image pixels having different line directions can be used.
In this case, the background pixels and the latent image pixels having the same line direction have discontinuous portions where the pixels are not continuous.

As the non-continuous portion 8, a blank portion where the base material is exposed can be used. Alternatively, a background pattern may be provided on the base material in advance, and a portion where the background pattern is exposed may be used as a discontinuous portion. Further, alignment may be performed, and a background pattern may be provided only in a portion where the background pixel and the latent image pixel are not formed.
In addition, when there are a plurality of latent image pixels and background pixels having different line directions (accuracy), the background lines and latent image pixels having the same line direction need not be continuous. A background pixel or a latent image pixel having a different line direction can be provided between a background pixel and a latent image pixel having the same.
When the discontinuous portion is a blank portion or a tint block, it is preferable that the discontinuous portion, that is, the interval between pixels is in the range of 0.03 to 0.3 mm. Within this range, it is difficult to visually recognize even if the pitches of adjacent background pixels and latent image pixels are shifted.
In addition, when providing the pixel from which the direction of a line differs between a background pixel and a latent image pixel, you may provide without a gap.

As an example in the case where a plurality of types of latent image pixels and background pixels are provided, a configuration as shown in FIG. 5 can be given. In FIG. 5, the printing unit includes a background pixel 4 a and a latent image pixel 6 a composed of lines in a certain direction, and a background pixel 4 b and a latent image pixel 6 b in which the background pixel 4 a and the latent image pixel 6 a are different in the line direction. Have
These pixels are configured as a pixel group 10 composed of a background pixel 4a or latent image pixel 6a and a background pixel 4b or latent image pixel 6b, and each pixel group and the pixel group have a blank portion or a tint block as a discontinuous portion. . The pixels in the pixel group are adjacent to each other in different line directions.
Accordingly, in a pixel composed of a line in a certain direction, a pixel having the same line direction in the horizontal direction sandwiches a blank portion or a background pattern with a pixel having a different line direction.
The pixel group can be composed of an arbitrary number of pixels having different line directions.

The sizes of the background pixels and the latent image pixels can be changed randomly. For example, on the basis of a certain pixel, other pixels can be randomly changed within a range of about 70% to 130%, preferably about 90% to 130%. In this way, it is possible to make the latent image difficult to understand visually.
For example, FIG. 7 illustrates a configuration in which small pixels are randomly scattered in large pixels 12.

In the present invention, a plurality of lines with different directions can be provided in one pixel. For example, in FIG. 9, one pixel has two types of lines that differ by 90 ° in the direction of the lines. In this way, it is possible to provide a finer and higher resolution latent image than using a separate pixel for each line in different directions. However, there are some parts that are difficult to see, so depending on the line width, pitch, etc., it is possible to select whether to provide a plurality of lines with different directions for one pixel or use different pixels for each line with different directions. be able to.

As the base material 2 used in the present invention, a paper base material can be mainly used. For example, high-quality paper, plain paper, or the like can be used. A resin material or the like may be used.

The printing unit 3 including background pixels and latent image pixels is formed by printing using ink.
As the ink used for printing, a normal colored ink can be used. Ink of a color different from the base color of the substrate 2 is used.
As a printing method, offset, gravure, screen, intaglio printing or the like can be used.

The printed matter of the present invention can confirm a latent image that cannot be visually confirmed by visualizing the latent image using a developing tool.
As the developing tool, it is possible to use a background pixel, a latent image pixel, and a line composed of the same line in the line width, pitch, and line direction. When there are multiple types of pixels, each latent image pixel is visualized by rotating the angle using a visual tool made up of the same line in the line width, pitch, and line direction of one pixel. The latent image can be confirmed.
