本発明の枝収集装置を装着する乗用草刈機5は、油圧無段変速装置(HST)28を具備し、アクセルペダル9の前側を踏み込めば前進走行し、後側を踏み込めば後進走行させることができ、機体6の前後進走行の切替えや走行停止操作が容易である。枝収集作業は、機体6を前進走行させながら枝を掬い取り収集し、所定の収集場所へ運搬した後、後進走行することで枝を収集場所へ置くという作業形態である。長寸フォークF1は、前端部が接地してあり、図5,図6に示すように地面の凹凸にも追従可能に構成されているので、長寸フォークF1先端が地面に突き刺さることがなく、地面に散乱した枝を効率良く掬い取ることができる。収集した枝を所定収集場所へ運搬した後には、枝フォーク部F上に乗った枝を排出させる必要があるが、機体6を後進走行させるのみではスムーズな枝排出ができないので、本発明の枝収集装置は、レバー26をハンドルグリップ27とともに握り、固定ピン25をフォークフレーム22の穴29から抜くことで、枝収集部3の揺動が可能であり、ハンドル4を前方向に揺動させると、軸24を中心に枝受部1上部が前方へ移動し、枝受部1下部は後方へ移動する。又、枝フォーク部Fは、長寸フォークF1前端部を接地させたままの状態で後方へ移動Aするとともに、枝フォーク部Fの後端部を下降させてフォーク角度θを小さくさせることができるのでこの状態で後進走行すれば枝フォーク部F上側に乗った枝がスムーズに排出され易い。更に、枝フォーク部Fの後部を下降させるのみでは枝の排出がスムーズでない場合には、ゆっくり後進走行させながら、ハンドル4の前後方向揺動操作を繰り返すことが効果的である。32は枝収集部3の下降方向への揺動を制限するストッパボルトである。   The riding mower 5 equipped with the branch collecting device of the present invention includes a hydraulic continuously variable transmission (HST) 28, and can travel forward when the front side of the accelerator pedal 9 is depressed, and can travel backward when the rear side is depressed.
