Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a fuel tank system.
In the fuel tank system having the above-described structure, it is necessary to open the blocking valve when the gas in the fuel tank is released to the canister or the like when the tank internal pressure of the fuel tank becomes high, except during refueling. However, if the blocking valve is opened while the tank internal pressure is high, a gas containing a large amount of evaporated fuel moves to the canister.
In view of the above facts, an object of the present invention is to obtain a fuel tank system capable of appropriately controlling the flow of gas in a pipe communicating the fuel tank and the canister.
According to the first aspect of the present invention, a fuel tank that can accommodate fuel therein, a canister that adsorbs and desorbs evaporated fuel generated in the fuel tank with an adsorbent, and the interior of the canister is opened to the atmosphere. A vent pipe for communicating the fuel tank and the canister with each other, a vent pipe for sending evaporated fuel in the fuel tank to the canister, and a tank internal pressure of the fuel tank acting on the vent pipe The main chamber is divided into a back pressure chamber on the opposite side of the main chamber with the valve member body interposed therebetween, and the valve opens when the pressure of the main chamber becomes higher than the pressure of the back pressure chamber and the valve member body moves. A valve member capable of communicating with a vent pipe, a tank-side bypass flow path capable of communicating between the tank side vent pipe from the fuel tank to the valve member in the vent pipe and the back pressure chamber, A canister-side bypass passage capable of communicating the canister-side vent piping from the valve member to the canister and the back pressure chamber in the conduit piping, and the canister-side bypass passage provided to open and close the canister-side bypass passage. A valve member bypass passage capable of communicating the first solenoid valve, the tank side vent pipe and the canister side vent pipe by bypassing the valve member, and the valve member bypass passage. A second electromagnetic valve that is controlled to open and close the valve member bypass flow path, and a control device that controls the opening and closing of the first electromagnetic valve and the second electromagnetic valve.
In this fuel tank system, the fuel tank and the canister can communicate with each other through a vent pipe. The vent pipe is configured with a bypass path from the tank-side bypass flow path to the canister-side bypass flow path through the back pressure chamber. The vent pipe is blocked by the valve member so as not to communicate, and the one solenoid valve provided in the canister-side bypass flow path is closed so that the evaporated fuel in the fuel tank is sealed so as not to move to the canister. be able to.
When a large amount of evaporated fuel in the fuel tank is sent to the canister, when the control device opens the first electromagnetic valve, the canister-side bypass flow path is opened, so that the back pressure chamber is opened to the atmosphere. On the other hand, since the tank internal pressure (positive pressure) acts on the main chamber, the pressure in the main chamber is relatively higher than the pressure in the back pressure chamber. Compared with the configuration in which the back pressure chamber is not opened to the atmosphere, the force required for the operation of the valve member for opening the vent pipe is small. The valve opening pressure of the valve member is reduced.
Further, the tank side vent pipe and the canister side vent pipe can communicate with each other through a valve member bypass flow path. When sending only a small amount of gas in the fuel tank to the canister, the control device controls the opening and closing of the second electromagnetic valve while the valve member maintains the valve open state. This makes it possible to send only a small amount of fuel tank gas to the canister.
As described above, in addition to the valve member, the configuration having the first electromagnetic valve and the second electromagnetic valve makes it possible to appropriately control the gas flow in the vent pipe from the fuel tank to the canister.
According to a second aspect of the present invention, in the first aspect of the present invention, the fuel tank includes a fuel supply state sensor that detects a fuel supply state to the fuel tank, and the control device supplies fuel to the fuel tank by the fuel supply state sensor. When the state is detected, the first solenoid valve is opened.
When the control device opens the first solenoid valve when the oil supply state is detected by the oil supply state sensor, the canister-side bypass flow path is opened and the back pressure chamber is opened to the atmosphere. On the other hand, since the tank internal pressure (positive pressure) acts on the main chamber, the pressure in the main chamber is relatively higher than the pressure in the back pressure chamber. For this reason, compared with the structure which does not open | release a back pressure chamber to air | atmosphere, the valve opening pressure of a valve member becomes small. The first solenoid valve is sufficient if it can open and close the canister-side bypass flow path. For this reason, the magnitude | size of a 1st solenoid valve can be made small compared with the magnitude | size of a valve member.
According to a third aspect of the present invention, in the first or second aspect of the present invention, a tank internal pressure sensor for detecting a tank internal pressure of the fuel tank is provided, and the control device is detected by the tank internal pressure sensor. When the tank internal pressure is equal to or lower than a predetermined internal pressure threshold, the first electromagnetic valve and the second electromagnetic valve are closed.
That is, when the tank internal pressure detected by the tank internal pressure sensor is equal to or lower than a predetermined internal pressure threshold, the control device closes both the first electromagnetic valve and the second electromagnetic valve. Since the first electromagnetic valve is closed, the back pressure chamber is not released to the atmosphere, the tank internal pressure of the fuel tank is acting, and the valve member does not move to the valve open state.
As described above, since the back pressure chamber, the first electromagnetic valve, and the second electromagnetic valve are all closed, the fuel tank can be sealed so that the evaporated fuel in the fuel tank does not move to the canister. .
According to a fourth aspect of the present invention, in the first aspect of the present invention, a tank internal pressure sensor that detects a tank internal pressure of the fuel tank is provided, and the control device includes the tank internal pressure. When the tank internal pressure detected by the sensor exceeds a predetermined internal pressure threshold, the second electromagnetic valve is opened.
That is, in a state where the tank internal pressure detected by the tank internal pressure sensor exceeds a predetermined internal pressure threshold, the control device opens the second electromagnetic valve. Thereby, since the gas in the fuel tank moves to the canister via the tank side vent pipe, the valve member bypass flow path, and the canister side vent pipe, for example, an excessive increase in the tank internal pressure during vehicle travel can be suppressed. The valve opening control may be performed by adjusting the opening of the second electromagnetic valve or the like, and by this valve opening control, it is possible to adjust the tank internal pressure and the amount of evaporated fuel moving to the canister.
According to a fifth aspect of the present invention, in the invention according to any one of the first to fourth aspects, the control device does not control the opening and closing of the first electromagnetic valve and the second electromagnetic valve. The first solenoid valve and the second solenoid valve are closed.
Since the first solenoid valve and the second solenoid valve can maintain the closed state when not controlled by the control device, the fuel tank can be efficiently kept in a sealed state.
The invention according to claim 6 is the invention according to any one of
When a pressure exceeding a predetermined positive pressure threshold acts on the second electromagnetic valve from the fuel tank, the second electromagnetic valve opens regardless of the control of the control device. Thereby, for example, even when the vehicle is parked, the valve member bypass passage is opened, so that an excessive increase in the tank internal pressure can be suppressed.
Since the second solenoid valve also serves as a valve for suppressing an excessive increase in the tank internal pressure, there is no need to provide a valve that exhibits this effect.
Since the present invention has the above-described configuration, it is possible to appropriately control the gas flow in the pipe that communicates the fuel tank and the canister.

The
Connected to the
The
A full
A
As shown in detail in FIG. 2, the
The opening at the upper end of the
The area (pressure receiving area) where the valve member
A

A tank-side
The tank-side

The

Between the tank
Similar to the
The electromagnetic valve
Also in the second
Next, the operation of the
In the
When the
On the other hand, the
Here, in order to open the
In the present embodiment, the valve member
In particular, in this embodiment, the opening direction of the
In the present embodiment, as described above, even if the inner diameter of the
Further, before refueling, the
While the vehicle is running, the tank internal pressure of the
When the tank internal pressure exceeds the internal pressure value, the
Here, for example, by appropriately opening and closing the second
The evaporated fuel discharged from the
In addition, in the
Even when the vehicle is parked, normally, the first
When the tank internal pressure of the
Note that the first
When the tank internal pressure of the
Moreover, as described above, the
In the above description, as the
In the above example, the differential pressure maintaining means is provided in the tank-
In particular, if the above-mentioned
