Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a terminal cap that is used by being fitted on a terminal of an insulation-coated electric wire with a conductor exposed so as to cover the conductor.
Conventionally, an insulated wire such as a power cable manufactured by a cable maker is cut to a predetermined length and wound on a drum before being shipped to a user.
Insulated coated wires may be stored outdoors during storage before shipment by cable manufacturers or use by users, so rainwater etc. is prevented from entering from the cut end face where the conductor is exposed. Therefore, the terminal process which carries out the outer fitting of the bottomed cylindrical terminal cap which can accommodate the terminal of this insulated wire to the said terminal is implemented at the time of carving.
Moreover, the terminal treatment of the insulation-coated electric wire is performed not only when the insulation-coated electric wire is separated but also during actual use.
For example, when connecting two insulated wires with a small conductor size, such as those used for indoor wiring, strip the insulation coating at each end to expose the conductors from several mm to several tens of mm. A method of twisting and soldering, a method of inserting these two conductors from one opening of the crimping sleeve, and caulking the crimping sleeve with a crimping tool in this state are adopted. To this connected part In order to prevent an electric shock or a leakage due to the contact of the terminal, a terminal process is performed in which a terminal cap is covered with a terminal cap to provide insulation.
In these terminal treatments, the purpose is lost if water enters from the outside through the gap between the terminal cap and the insulation-coated wire, or the terminal cap falls off and the conductor gets wet. Because of this, a plastic tape is wrapped around the open end of the terminal cap that is externally fitted to the terminal to close the gap with the insulated wire, and the terminal cap is prevented from falling off. The cover is covered with vinyl tape.
However, enforcing such a terminal processing method requires a great deal of labor and may require complicated operations.
In addition, it is practically impossible to perform waterproofing by inserting a waterproof putty into the gap between the wires in an insulation-coated electric wire or the like in which an insulation conductor is formed on an assembly conductor formed by twisting a plurality of wires. Therefore, if water is infiltrated even a little, this water may infiltrate deeply into the insulated wire through the wires.
On the other hand, for example,
In such a terminal cap, since the waterproofing and the fall-off preventing effect from the terminal are exhibited by the restoring force that acts when the terminal is accommodated and the ring-shaped protrusion is expanded by the terminal, a single cap is provided. If it is the terminal process of an insulation coating electric wire, it can be simply implemented.
However, when terminal processing is performed on a portion where the conductors of a plurality of insulation-coated wires are connected, it is difficult to closely contact the tips of the protrusions with the surfaces of the plurality of insulation-coated wires. It is practically difficult to provide sufficient waterproofness with a cap.
Moreover, even when the terminal treatment of a single insulation-coated electric wire is performed, the waterproofness of such a terminal cap depends on the contact pressure between the protruding portion and the surface of the electric wire (restoring force of the protruding portion) and is prevented from falling off. Since the effect depends on the frictional force acting between the protrusion and the surface of the electric wire, trying to improve these effects makes the diameter of the protrusion in the natural state smaller than that of the insulated coated electric wire. Alternatively, the protrusions must be made more elastic, and it is necessary to press-fit with a strong force when the terminal is accommodated in the cap body.
That is, the conventional terminal cap has a problem that it is difficult to easily perform terminal processing with excellent waterproofness and it is difficult to maintain the waterproof effect for a long period of time.
An object of the present invention is to provide a terminal cap that can easily perform terminal processing with excellent waterproofness and that can prevent the terminal from falling off. It is said.
The present invention according to the terminal cap for solving the above-described problem is a bottomed cylindrical shape that is used by being externally fitted so as to cover the conductor on the terminal of the insulated coated electric wire from which the conductor is exposed, and in which the terminal is accommodated. A terminal cap provided with a cap body, wherein a liquid adhesive is housed inside the cap body so that the terminal can be brought into contact with the conductor when the terminal is housed, It is a curable adhesive that is cured by contact with a metal.
Since the terminal cap of the present invention contains the liquid adhesive inside the cap body in which the terminal of the insulation-coated electric wire is stored, the terminal cap is interposed between the terminal and the terminal cap when the terminal is stored. Liquid adhesive can be filled.
Moreover, since the liquid adhesive has a property of being cured by contact with a metal, it can be cured by contact with a conductor, and the terminal cap can be simply fitted on the end of an insulated coated electric wire. And the inner surface of the cap body can be bonded together and moisture can be prevented from entering.
That is, according to the present invention, the terminal cap of the insulation-coated electric wire can be waterproofed by a simple method in which the terminal cap is fitted around the terminal of the insulation-coated electric wire and the liquid adhesive inside is cured. The effect can be sustained for a long time.
In addition, for example, when the terminal cap of the present invention is used for terminal treatment of an insulation-coated electric wire provided with an assembly conductor, a liquid adhesive is allowed to penetrate between the strands of the assembly conductor to enter the interior of the insulation-coated electric wire. The effect of suppressing the risk of water intrusion can be exhibited.

And when accommodating the terminal of an insulation coat | covered electric wire, it shows to Fig.1 (a) so that the sealing state of the anaerobic adhesive can be easily cancelled | released with this terminal and this anaerobic adhesive can be made to contact with a conductor. As described above, it is preferable that the sealing

In addition, as said
Here, if an
That is, as the liquid adhesive in the present embodiment, a gel-like adhesive can be used as long as it exhibits fluidity when the terminal of the insulation coated electric wire is introduced into the liquid
Even when anaerobic adhesive with low viscosity is used, it can be impregnated with the anaerobic adhesive, and it can be exuded to the outside again by being compressed at the terminal. A fiber cap such as a cotton ball or fabric, or a porous material such as a sponge is also housed in the cap body, and these members are impregnated and held in an anaerobic adhesive so as to be housed in the cap body. 1 can have a simple structure without using the sealing
Furthermore, as shown in FIG. 2, it is also possible to reduce the diameter of a part of the
That is, the back side of the
Such a
And since the said
In addition, the waterproof effect can be maintained for a long time because it is superior in the drop-off prevention effect as compared with the conventional terminal cap fixed to the end of the insulation-coated electric wire only by the frictional force.
In addition, for example, when employing an anaerobic adhesive with low viscosity, even when a flexible conductor is used in which a plurality of strands are assembled into a conductor of an insulation-coated electric wire for terminal treatment, Capillarity can be used to impregnate anaerobic adhesive between the strands, and after the anaerobic adhesive is cured, even if water may enter the inside of the terminal cap It is possible to prevent water from penetrating into the insulation-coated electric wire through the strands.
In this respect, it is preferable to employ an anaerobic adhesive having a low viscosity of about 100 mPa · s or less at room temperature.
In addition, as such an anaerobic adhesive, a type that is cured by a polymerization reaction of an acrylic monomer can be preferably employed. As an acrylic anaerobic adhesive, for example, an ether type or an ester type Can be adopted.
Among these, examples of the ether type acrylic anaerobic adhesive include those obtained by adding a peroxide to tetraethylene glycol dimethacrylate, and examples of the ester type acrylic anaerobic adhesive include triethylene glycol. Methylolpropane trimethacrylate,
Such anaerobic adhesives are commercially available from Toagosei Co., Ltd. under the trade name “Arontite”, from Sumitomo 3M Co., Ltd. under the trade name “Scotch Weld” and available from Henkel Japan Co., Ltd. as “Loctite”. A commercially available product can be used under the trade name “
Such an anaerobic adhesive generally cures in a short time even at room temperature, so that the working time can be greatly shortened.
In addition, the anaerobic adhesive is cured by reacting with metal ions because it is shielded from air and can be stored for a long time in a terminal cap state.
That is, by using the terminal cap shown in the embodiment as described above, it is possible to easily perform terminal processing with excellent waterproofness.
In the terminal cap of the present embodiment, the width and shape of the internal space for accommodating the terminal such as the inner diameter and depth of the cap body are not particularly limited, and the exposed conductor portion of the insulation-coated wire to be accommodated The size and shape are not particularly limited as long as the material can be covered.
However, if the anaerobic adhesive is not brought to an anaerobic state to some extent when the terminal is accommodated, there is a possibility that it takes time to cure only by the reaction by contact with the metal. It is preferable to adjust so that an excessively wide gap is not formed between the inner surface and the terminal.
Further, the ratio of the anaerobic adhesive to the internal volume of the cap body, the ratio of the anaerobic adhesive to the internal volume of the liquid adhesive storage chamber, and the like are not particularly limited.
However, if the liquid adhesive storage chamber is filled with an anaerobic adhesive, there is a risk that the anaerobic adhesive will start a curing reaction before use due to lack of oxygen. It is preferable to seal the anaerobic adhesive together with a certain amount of air.
In addition, when the terminal of the insulation coated electric wire is accommodated, if the anaerobic adhesive overflows from the opening end of the cap body, it may cause a problem in workability of the terminal processing. The amount of the anaerobic adhesive to be accommodated is preferably adjusted so that it does not overflow from the open end of the cap body even when the tip of the terminal reaches the bottom (closed end) of the cap body.

That is, a simpler terminal processing method can be implemented by using the terminal cap in the second embodiment.
In order to obtain the above effects, the metal
Furthermore, in order to obtain the effects as described above, it is not necessary to provide the metal
(Third embodiment)
Furthermore, a terminal process can also be implemented using the

In carrying out the terminal treatment using the
In this manner, the terminal cap of the present embodiment can easily impart waterproofness to the terminal of the insulated coated electric wire as in the previous embodiments.
(Fourth embodiment)
In the embodiments described so far, an anaerobic adhesive is used as the curable liquid adhesive to be accommodated in the terminal cap, and the curing reaction by contact with a metal such as a conductor or a crimping sleeve is exclusively used in terminal processing. However, you may make it utilize a photoreaction for hardening of a liquid adhesive agent.
For example, a photocurable anaerobic adhesive can be employed as a liquid adhesive that is accommodated in the
When carrying out the terminal treatment using such a photocurable anaerobic adhesive, it is preferable to use a terminal cap according to the fourth embodiment as shown in FIG.

If necessary, UV curing may be further performed by irradiating the photocurable anaerobic adhesive 31 from the outside through a transparent portion of the cap body using a UV lamp or the like to further accelerate the curing. May be further performed to accelerate curing.
(Fifth embodiment)
Further, instead of the terminal cap as described above, as shown in FIG. 7, a light transmissive material obtained by encapsulating a light curable anaerobic adhesive 32 in a light non-permeable balloon-
