Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a head mounted display.
2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, a head-mounted display (hereinafter referred to as “HMD”) that displays an image so as to be visually recognized as an image in front of a user's eye is known. The HMD includes an image light generator, an eyepiece optical system, and a deflection member. The image light generator generates image light based on the image information. The eyepiece optical system guides the image light generated by the image light generator in a certain direction. The deflecting member reflects the image light emitted from the eyepiece optical system and enters the user's eye. However, since human vision has individual differences, there are people who can easily adjust the focus within the eyeball and those who cannot. If the focus adjustment in the eyeball is insufficient, the image cannot be clearly seen. Therefore, an information display device that can adjust the focus of an image by moving the display device in the optical axis direction is known (see, for example, Patent Document 1).
However, the information display device described in
An object of the present invention is to solve the above-described problems, and is to provide a head-mounted display that can adjust the focus with a compact configuration and can further prevent dust.
The head-mounted display according to the first aspect of the present invention is attached to a mounting member that is mounted on a user's head, and image light is incident on the user's eyes based on image information to the user. In the head mounted display for recognizing the image light, the image light generator includes an image light generator that generates image light, a cylindrical first holder that includes the image light generator, and at least one lens. An eyepiece optical system for guiding image light generated in a certain direction, and a cylindrical second holder containing the eyepiece optical system, and one end side in the axial direction of the first holder is closed by the image light generator. And the other end side is opened, the one end side in the axial direction of the second holder is closed by the lens, and the other end side is opened, the other end of the first holder, and the second What is the other end of the holder Or the other is inserted in a slidable state inside the other, characterized in that the first holder and the second holder is movably connected overlap with each other.
In the head mounted display according to the first aspect, the first holder and the second holder overlap with each other so as to be movable. As a result, the distance between the image light generator and the eyepiece optical system can be adjusted, so that the focus of the image can be adjusted according to the visual acuity of the user. Furthermore, one end side of the first holder and one end side of the second holder are closed, and one of the other end of the first holder and the other end of the second holder is slidable inside the other. Is inserted. Therefore, foreign matter such as dust can be prevented from entering the first holder and the second holder, so that foreign matter such as dust can be prevented from adhering to the image light generating portion. In addition, since the first holder incorporating the image light generator and the second holder incorporating the eyepiece optical system are connected in an overlapping manner, the entire head mounted display can be made compact.
Moreover, the 1st aspect WHEREIN: You may provide the positioning holding | maintenance part which positions and holds the said 2nd holder in the said mounting member. When the position of the eyepiece optical system moves relative to the user's head, the relative position between the user's pupil and the eyepiece optical system changes. As a result, for example, the image light may be lost due to the change in the eye relief length. Therefore, according to the configuration of this aspect, the position of the eyepiece optical system held by the second holder is positioned with respect to the user's head. Therefore, when performing the focus adjustment, only the position of the image light generation unit is changed, so that the relative position between the pupil position of the user and the eyepiece optical system does not change. Therefore, this aspect can prevent image light from being blurred due to focus adjustment.
In the first aspect, the other end of the second holder is slidably inserted inside the other end of the first holder, and provided on the outer periphery of the other end side of the first holder. And a movement adjusting portion that has an engaging portion that engages with the helical groove and moves the engaging portion in the circumferential direction on the other end side. The engaging portion that engages with the spiral groove provided on the outer periphery on the other end side of the first holder is moved in the circumferential direction on the other end side of the first holder. Thereby, the 1st holder can be moved to the 2nd holder. Since the distance between the first holder and the second holder can be adjusted by adjusting the amount of movement of the engaging portion in the circumferential direction, focus adjustment is easy.
Further, in the first aspect, the spiral groove is a groove cam, the movement adjusting portion is formed in a ring shape for inserting the other end side of the first holder, and the engaging portion is an inner periphery of the ring. You may further provide the position prescription | regulation part which is provided in a surface and prescribes | regulates the relative positional relationship of the said movement adjustment part and the said 1st holder. By rotating the movement adjusting portion, the engaging portion that engages with the spiral groove can be rotated. Since the spiral groove is a groove cam, the first holder can be moved relative to the second holder simply by rotating the movement adjusting portion. Since the spiral groove is a groove cam, the rotational force of the movement adjusting portion can be easily converted into a stress that moves the first holder. Since the position defining unit defines the relative position between the movement adjusting unit and the first holder, it is possible to prevent the movement adjusting unit from being displaced with respect to the first holder.
In the first aspect, a metal member for fixing the image light generating portion to the other end side may be provided on the other end side opposite to the one end side of the first holder. . Since the image light generator is a metal member and is fixed to the other end of the first holder, static electricity that affects the image light generator can be released.
Moreover, 1st aspect WHEREIN: The said 1st holder and the said movement preparation part may be formed with the polyacetal resin. As a result, the slidability between the first holder and the movement adjusting portion can be improved, so that a large force is not required when moving the movement adjusting portion in the circumferential direction.

The upper surface and the lower surface of the right
Next, the structure of the

Next, the shape of the
Next, the assembly process of HMD1 is demonstrated. As shown in FIGS. 4 and 5, the operator first attaches the
Next, the
Next, the
Next, the
Here, as shown in FIG. 3, the upper and lower portions of the
Next, a method for adjusting the focus of the
Depending on the rotation direction of the
In the above description, the
As described above, in the
In the present embodiment, in particular, the
In this embodiment, in particular, the engaging
In the present embodiment, in particular, the engaging
In the present embodiment, in particular, the
In the present embodiment, the
In addition, this invention is not limited to the said embodiment, A various deformation | transformation is possible. For example, in the
In the above-described embodiment, the
