Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a method for connecting single cells in a power supply device.
A hybrid vehicle, an electric vehicle, and the like using a battery including a plurality of single cells such as a lithium ion battery as a power source are known.
Patent Document 1 discloses a hexagonal case in plan view provided with battery accommodating parts (insertion parts) arranged concentrically, and a plurality of cylindrical unit batteries each accommodated inside each battery accommodating part. The secondary battery module which has an insulating member interposed between a battery accommodating part and a unit battery is disclosed. When this type of secondary battery module is used as a power source for a vehicle, in order to improve battery output, it may be mounted on the vehicle as an assembled battery assembly in which a plurality of secondary power modules are connected in series.
However, in the configuration of Patent Document 1, an insulating member is interposed between the unit battery and the battery housing portion, and the case is insulated from the unit battery. For this reason, in order to connect adjacent secondary battery modules, the positive terminal of each unit cell is electrically connected via the positive electrode bus bar, and the negative terminal of each unit cell is electrically connected via the negative electrode bus bar. In addition, it was necessary to electrically connect the positive electrode terminal of the adjacent secondary battery module and the negative electrode bus bar. For this reason, the size of the bus bar is required by the length of the unit battery, which increases the cost. SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION Accordingly, an object of the present invention is to shorten a connection path for connecting a secondary battery module, that is, an assembled battery to another battery.
In order to solve the above problems, a power supply device for a vehicle according to the present invention includes (1) a power generation element housed in a straight tube-shaped battery case, and the battery case and the negative electrode terminal are electrically connected. A battery unit in which the unit cells are arranged in a radial direction of the battery case, the conductive plate having a plurality of openings through which the unit cells are inserted, the openings, and the units. A conductive layer interposed between the battery case, the conductive plate, and a first bus bar used for connection to a positive electrode terminal of another battery adjacent to the assembled battery.
(2) In the configuration of (1), the first bus bar is connected to the conductive plate and extends in a direction orthogonal to the radial direction of the battery case, and an end of the conductive plate connection portion. A positive electrode connection portion that extends from the portion and is connected to the positive electrode terminal of the other battery. According to the configuration of (2), the shape of the bus bar can be simplified as compared with the method of directly connecting the positive electrode terminal and the negative electrode terminal of the unit cell.
(3) In the configurations of (1) to (2), the other battery houses a power generation element in a straight tube-shaped battery case, and the battery case and the negative electrode terminal are electrically connected. The unit cell may be another assembled battery in which a plurality of unit cells are arranged in the radial direction of the battery case. According to the configuration of (3), the connection path for electrically connecting the assembled batteries to each other can be shortened.
(4) In the configurations of (1) to (3), the conductive layer includes at least a resin body that expands due to a temperature rise, and a particle group made of a conductive filler mixed in the resin body. When the temperature of the unit cell rises from the operating temperature to the abnormal temperature, the resin body thermally expands in the opening direction of the opening, thereby reducing the contact area between the particles in the particle group. According to the configuration of (4), the temperature variation between the single cells is suppressed, and it is possible to effectively suppress the battery deterioration from being accelerated by increasing the value of the current flowing through the specific single cell having a high temperature. .
(5) In the configurations of (1) to (4) above, in the direction orthogonal to the radial direction of the battery case, the conductive plate is closer to the positive terminal in the unit cell than the negative terminal in the unit cell. Can be located in the area. According to the structure of (5), the connection path which connects an assembled battery and another battery in series can be shortened more reliably.
(6) In the configuration of (5) above, a coolant is provided to a part of the battery case located in a region where the negative electrode terminal is located across the conductive plate in a direction orthogonal to the radial direction of the battery case. Can be provided. According to the configuration of (6), the cooling area of the unit cell can be increased while shortening the connection path.
(7) The power supply devices of (1) to (6) can be mounted on a vehicle. As the vehicle, a hybrid vehicle or an electric vehicle that drives a motor for driving the vehicle using electric power obtained from the power supply device can be considered.
(8) In order to solve the above-described problem, a method of manufacturing a power supply device according to the present invention includes a first step of forming a plurality of through-shaped openings in a conductive plate, and a straight tube-shaped battery case. A unit cell that houses a power generation element and in which the battery case and a negative electrode terminal are electrically connected, wherein the unit cell has an outer diameter smaller than a diameter of the opening, and the opening and A second step of inserting each of the plurality of openings while maintaining a non-contact state of the battery case; and a third step of filling a conductive paste in a gap formed between the openings and the battery case. And a fourth step of connecting the conductive plate and the positive terminal of another battery.
ADVANTAGE OF THE INVENTION According to this invention, the connection path | route which connects an assembled battery with another battery can be shortened.
A power supply device for a vehicle according to the present embodiment will be described with reference to the drawings. FIG. 1 is a schematic configuration diagram of the power supply device 1. FIG. 2 is an external perspective view of the first assembled
Referring to FIG. 1, power supply device 1 includes a first assembled
The
The
The power generating
The
A protruding
With reference to FIGS. 1, 2, and 4, the plurality of
Here, the heat of each
The

The
The
Since the first to fourth assembled batteries 2 </ b> A to 2 </ b> D each have a plurality of
Here, in the method of connecting the
Furthermore, in the method of the comparative example, the conductive
That is, in this embodiment, the role of holding the
The
Next, the effect obtained by interposing the
The parallel connection has a characteristic that the temperature difference between the
In order to solve the above problems, the
The
Here, the structure which provides the assembled
According to the above embodiment, when the current flows through the
Next, a method for manufacturing the assembled
In step S103, the gap formed between the
According to the above-described method, when the conductive paste is filled, the work of charging the
