Embodiments of the present invention will be described below with reference to the accompanying drawings.

<Embodiment 1>
1 is a partial side cross-sectional view of a vehicular lamp including the lamp according to Embodiment 1 of the present invention, FIG. 2 is a view in the direction of arrow A in FIG. 1, and FIG. is there.

A lamp 1 according to the present embodiment is provided incidentally to a headlamp 10 that is a vehicle lamp, and an LED (light emitting diode) 2 that is a light source thereof is provided in a lamp chamber 11 of the headlamp 10. Housed in the upper part.

Here, as shown in FIG. 1, the headlamp 10 houses a light source (not shown), a reflector 14, an extension 15 and the like in the lamp chamber 11 defined by a housing 12 and an outer lens 13 covering the opening thereof. Configured. A support bracket 3 is horizontally mounted and supported by screws 4 on a boss 12a projecting from the upper inner wall of the housing 12, and an LED substrate 5 on which a plurality of LEDs 2 are mounted is mounted on the support bracket 3. It is attached by screws 6.

Further, as shown in FIG. 1, an opening 13a is formed in a portion facing the LED 2 above the outer lens 13 of the headlamp 10, and the light guide 7 has a sealing member 8 in the opening 13a. It is fitted and attached via.

The light guide 7 is long in the direction perpendicular to the paper surface of FIG. 1, and is configured by connecting a plurality of plan view semicircular portions 7a in the width direction as shown in FIG. Correspondingly, the LEDs 2 are arranged in the width direction (perpendicular to the plane of FIG. 1). A mounting seat 7b is formed between the semicircular portions 7a of the light guide 7, and screws 9 inserted through the mounting seats 7b are provided upright on the outer lens 3 as shown in FIG. The light guide 7 is attached to the upper part of the outer lens 13 by screwing into the boss 13b.

In the lamp 1 configured as described above, when a current is supplied from a power source (battery) (not shown) to each LED 2 that is a light source, each LED 2 is activated to emit light, and the light enters the light guide 7. Light that enters from the surface 7c and enters the light guide 7 travels forward of the vehicle (leftward in FIG. 1) while being totally reflected in the light guide 7, and forwards from the front exit surface 7d to the vehicle front. And exit.

Thus, in the lamp 1 according to the present embodiment, since the light guide 7 is disposed outside the lamp chamber 11 that houses the LED 2 that is the light source, the overall height of the lamp 1 is suppressed to a low level. The thickness can be reduced, and the space for the lamp 1 can be reduced to save space.

In the present embodiment, the light guide 7 is attached to the upper part of the outer lens 13, but a configuration in which the light guide 7 is attached to the lower part of the outer lens 13 may be adopted.

<Embodiment 2>
Next, a second embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to FIGS.

4 is a side sectional view of a lamp according to Embodiment 2 of the present invention, FIG. 5 is an enlarged detail view of a portion C in FIG. 4, and FIG. 6 is a perspective view showing a state in which the housing of the lamp is opened.

The lamp 21 according to the present embodiment is directly attached to the inside of the bumper 30 of the vehicle, and is configured by attaching a light guide 23 to the outside of the housing 22 as shown in FIG. Here, as shown in FIG. 6, the housing 22 is configured by connecting a rectangular box-shaped upper lid 22A and lower lid 22B by a hinge 22a, and rotating the upper lid 22A around the hinge 22a to lower it. By covering the lid 22B, a housing 22 whose inside is sealed is formed as shown in FIG. Note that the joining portion of the upper lid 22A and the lower lid 22B is hermetically sealed by a seal member 24.

An LED 25 that is a light source is housed in a sealed space in the housing 22. That is, the LED 25 is mounted in the center of the LED substrate 26, and the LED substrate 26 is attached to the inner bottom surface of the lower lid 22 </ b> B of the housing 22 with a plurality of screws 27.

In addition, a circular opening 22b is formed in a portion of the upper cover 22A of the housing 22 facing the LED 25, and a cylindrical fitting boss 22c is erected around the opening 22b on the upper surface of the upper cover 22A. Has been. Here, the inner peripheral surface of the fitting boss 22c is formed as a tapered surface that opens upward as shown in FIG.

On the other hand, a mounting bracket 22C extending vertically downward is integrally formed on the lower cover 22B of the housing 22, and a circular hole 22d is formed in the mounting bracket 22C.

Thus, as shown in FIG. 4, a light guide 23 is attached to the fitting boss 22 c formed on the upper surface of the upper cover 22 </ b> A of the housing 22. That is, a taper fitting portion 23a that is reduced in diameter downward is integrally formed on the lower surface of the light guide 23, and the taper fitting portion 23a is formed as a fitting boss 22c formed on the upper lid 22A of the housing 22. The light guide 23 is attached to the upper lid 22 </ b> A of the housing 22. In this case, a seal member 28 is interposed between the tapered fitting portion 23a of the light guide 23 and the peripheral edge of the opening 22b of the upper cover 22A of the housing 22, and the tapered fitting of the light guide 23 is performed. A gap δ of about 0.05 mm is formed and positioned between the portion 23a and the fitting boss 22c of the upper lid 22A.

The lamp 21 having the light guide 23 attached to the upper lid 22A of the housing 22 is provided with a mounting bracket 22C formed on the lower lid 22A of the housing 22 on the back side of the bumper 30 of the vehicle, as shown in FIG. The screws 29 are directly attached to the back side of the bumper 30 by being screwed into the stays 31 with the screws 29 inserted into the circular holes 22d formed in the mounting brackets 22C. At this time, the tip of the light guide 23 of the lamp 21 is exposed to the outside from the opening 30 a formed in the bumper 30.

In the lamp 21 configured as described above, when an electric current (battery) (not shown) is supplied to the LED 25 that is a light source, the LED 25 is activated to emit light, and the light is incident on the light guide 23. It enters from 23b. The light incident on the light guide 23 travels forward of the vehicle (leftward in FIG. 4) while being totally reflected in the light guide 23, and is emitted from the front end exposed from the opening 30a of the bumper 30. The light exits from the surface 23c toward the front of the vehicle.

Thus, also in the lamp 21 according to the present embodiment, since the light guide 23 is disposed outside the housing 22 that houses the LED 25 that is a light source, the overall height of the lamp 21 is kept low, and the lamp 21 is thin. In addition, the space for the lamp 21 can be reduced and the space can be saved.

In this embodiment, the light guide 23 is attached to the upper cover 22A of the housing 22. However, the light guide 23 is attached to the lower cover 22B of the housing 22 and the LED board 26 on which the LED 25 is mounted is attached to the upper cover in the housing 22. You may employ | adopt the structure attached so that the light emission direction of LED25 may become downward on the ceiling surface of 22A. In the above, the embodiment in which the present invention is applied to a headlamp has been described. However, the present invention is naturally applicable to other arbitrary lamps as well.
