駒送り用の多数の送り孔(1)をその長手方向に離間して定間隔に配置した連結帯(2)が使用され、その連結帯(2)に多数の釘(3)が並列して連結され、それがコイル状に巻回されてマガジン(4)内に装填され、その並列された釘(3)が順次ノーズ(5)へ供給され、ノーズ(5)内に供給された釘(3)を連結帯(2)から離脱させて打ち込むとともに、釘(3)が打ち込まれた後の連結帯残部(2a)をノーズ(5)に隣接した排出口(6)から排出するようにした釘打機(7)であって、その釘打機(7)における連結帯残部(2a)の切断機構において、
前記排出口(6)の縁で且つ、前記連結帯残部(2a)の送り孔(1)が通過する位置に隣接して爪(8)が突設され、
その爪(8)は、その爪先端 (8a) の位置が釘打機(7)の使用状態で、排出された連結帯残部(2a)の排出口の出口に隣接した送り孔(1)の下流側孔縁(1a)の少し下流に位置すると共に、排出された連結帯残部(2a)を爪(8)側に引き寄せたとき、その連結帯(2)の弾性変形やその送りの遊びにより、その送り孔(1)がその爪(8)に嵌入するように構成されたことを特徴とする釘打機における連結帯残部の切断機構。
