Description

The present invention relates to a sealing member and an electronic device including the same.

An electronic device such as a mobile phone or a personal digital assistant (PDA) may have an insertion member such as a flexible substrate inserted through an opening formed in the housing. In such a case, a sealing member may be provided between the opening and the insertion member so that foreign matter does not enter the housing from the opening.

For example, a sealing member is known in which liquid rubber is filled in the gap between the opening and the insertion member (see Patent Document 1). Moreover, in order to improve the adhesiveness between the sealing member and the insertion member, there is also known one in which the insertion member and the sealing member are integrally molded (see Patent Document 2).

国際公開公報WO2003/085793International Publication No. WO2003 / 088573 特開2005−348341号公報JP 2005-348341 A

However, in the sealing member described in Patent Document 1 or Patent Document 2, since the insertion member and the sealing member are integrally molded, due to heat and pressure applied during the integral molding, the insertion member There is a problem of damage or deformation. For example, when a flexible substrate or the like is used as the insertion member, there is a risk of causing breakage of the conductive wire included in the flexible substrate due to heat and pressure applied during integral molding.

Further, in the sealing member described in Patent Document 1 or Patent Document 2, since the insertion member and the sealing member are fixed, due to the tension applied to the insertion member, the insertion member and the sealing member There is a risk that stress will occur at the fixed part of the material and it will be damaged.

The present invention has been made to solve the above-described problem, and an object thereof is to provide a sealing member that can be attached to an insertion member that is inserted into a housing and that does not adversely affect the insertion member. To do.

In order to achieve the above object, a sealing member of the present invention includes an elastic member having an opening / closing surface that is closed so as to sandwich an insertion member that is inserted into an opening of a housing, and a clamping member that is embedded in the elastic member, The sandwiching member can sandwich the insertion member from the outside via the elastic member and can maintain the open / close surface in a closed state.

Furthermore, you may have a holding means to hold | maintain so that an elastic member and an insertion member may contact | adhere to a clamping member or it separately.

Moreover, it is preferable that the clamping member urges the elastic member in the closing direction.

Further, at least a part of the clamping member has a convex shape outward when viewed from the insertion member when the insertion member is inserted, and the convex vertex is inverted and dented by a predetermined pressure applied to the insertion member. Therefore, it may be preferable to sandwich the insertion member.

The sandwiching member is continuously formed from two plate-like portions and a curved portion connecting them,
The elastic body can open and close using the curved portion as a fulcrum.

Moreover, it is preferable that the area | region where an elastic member is in contact with an insertion member is dented in the area | region other than that.

In another embodiment of the electronic device according to the invention, the insertion member is inserted through the opening provided in the housing, and the sealing member is configured to sandwich the insertion member and seals the opening. The sealing member includes an elastic member having an opening / closing surface that is closed so as to sandwich the insertion member, and a clamping member embedded in the elastic member, and the clamping member is interposed via the elastic member. Thus, the insertion member can be held from the outside and the open / close surface can be kept closed.

Moreover, in order to hold | maintain the state which the elastic member closed, the clamping force of the direction which goes to an insertion member may be provided to the elastic member by the clamping member and the inner wall of the housing.

According to the present invention, it is possible to provide a sealing member that can be mounted on an insertion member that is inserted into the housing and that does not adversely affect the insertion member.

Next, an electronic device and a sealing member according to an embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings.

1. Configuration of Electronic Device FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a mobile phone 1 as an electronic device including a sealing member 10 according to an embodiment of the present invention. FIG. 2 is a perspective view showing a state in which the cellular phone 1 shown in FIG. 1 is folded. 1 and 2, the insertion member 5 and the sealing member 10 provided in the mobile phone 1 are indicated by dotted lines.

The mobile phone 1 has a first housing 2 and a second housing 3. The mobile phone 1 is configured as a so-called folding-type mobile phone in which a first housing 2 and a second housing 3 are rotatably connected by a connecting portion 4. One end side of the insertion member 5 passes through the opening provided in the first housing 2 and is inserted into the first housing 2, and the other end passes through the opening provided in the second housing 3. The second housing 3 is inserted. Further, the insertion member 5 passes through the inside of the connecting portion 4 and is connected to the substrate located inside the first housing 2 and the substrate located in the second housing 3, respectively. The insertion member 5 is equipped with sealing members 10 on the first housing 2 side and the second housing 3 side, respectively. The sealing member 10 is mounted so as to close the opening provided in the first housing 2 and the opening provided in the second housing 3.

FIG. 3 is a perspective view showing the insertion member 5 to which the sealing member 10 is attached.

As the insertion member 5, for example, a flexible printed circuit board (FPC) can be used. Since the FPC is a flexible wiring material that can follow the folding operation of the mobile phone 1, the FPC is used to link the first casing 2 and the second casing 3. In the present embodiment, the insertion member 5 is a band-shaped FPC and includes connectors 6 at both ends thereof. When the sealing member 10 is attached to the mobile phone 1 with the insertion member 5 interposed therebetween, the insertion member 5 is inserted into the sealing member 10.

2. Configuration of sealing member (first embodiment)
4 is an enlarged perspective view of the region indicated by A with respect to the sealing member 10 and the insertion member 5 of FIG. FIG. 5 is a perspective view showing a state in which the sealing member 10 of FIG. 4 is opened to be attached to the insertion member 5. FIG. 6 is a perspective view showing the clamping member 13 embedded in the sealing member 10 of FIG. FIG. 7 is a front view when seen from the insertion direction of the insertion member 5 in a state where the sealing member 10 of FIG. 4 is closed. FIG. 8 is a plan view of the sealing member 10 of FIG. FIG. 9 is a left side view of the sealing member 10 of FIG. FIG. 10 is a right side view of the sealing member 10 of FIG. In addition, about a rear view, since it becomes substantially left-right symmetrical with a front view, illustration is abbreviate | omitted. Similarly, since the bottom view and the plan view are substantially symmetrical, only one of them is shown. Moreover, in FIGS. 7-10, the embedded clamping member 13 is displayed with the dotted line.

The sealing member 10 is covered with an elastic member 11 on the outside. The elastic member 11 seals the openings provided in the first casing 2 and the second casing 3 in order to insert the insertion member 5, and water is contained in the first casing 2 or the second casing 3. It is a member that prevents entry of dust or other foreign matters. The elastic member 11 is a member that can be attached to and detached from the insertion member 5 with the insertion member 5 interposed therebetween. The elastic member 11 has an openable / closable opening / closing surface 12 into which the insertion member 5 is inserted so that the insertion member 5 can be clamped.

The elastic member 11 is preferably made of a flexible resin or elastomer. By configuring the elastic member 11 from a flexible resin or elastomer, the elastic member 11 can be easily deformed so as to fill the gap between the inner surface of the first housing 2 or the second housing 3 and the insertion member 5. For this reason, the sealing effect can be enhanced. The elastic member 11 is preferably mainly formed of urethane rubber, acrylic rubber, silicone rubber or the like having a Shore A hardness of 20 to 70 degrees, for example. Among these, it is more preferable to use silicone rubber having high durability or a composite product thereof. Although the magnitude | size and shape of the elastic member 11 are suitably determined by the hardness of the elastic body to be used, it can be set as the ellipsoid of 1-5 mm in length and 1-10 mm in width, for example. When one side of the elastic member 11 is 1 mm or more, the elastic member 11 comes into contact with the first housing 2 and the second housing 3 and is compressed and fixed by the first housing 2 or the second housing 3. The elastic member 11 is easily deformed and can absorb variations in dimensions of the respective housings. Therefore, a gap is hardly generated between the elastic member 11 and the first and second casings 2 and 3. On the other hand, when the thickness of the elastic member 11 (the shortest distance from the outer surface of the clamping member 13 to the outer surface of the elastic member 11) is 5 mm or less, even when used for a long period of time, the seal due to a decrease in the elastic force of the elastic member 11 It is possible to reduce the influence of the deterioration of the sealing performance due to the deterioration of the performance or the deformation of the elastic member 11 itself. Further, by setting the protruding length of the elastic member 11 within 5 mm, the compression load applied to the elastic member 11 when the elastic member 11 is compressed and fixed by the first and second housings 2 and 3 is reduced. Since it does not become too large, the 1st housing 2 or the 2nd housing 3 becomes difficult to deform | transform or break. Further, when the hardness of the elastic member 11 is adjusted, the adhesion between the elastic member 11 and the insertion member 5 or the adhesion between the elastic member 11 and the first casing 2 or the second casing 3 is improved, and the elastic member 11 dimensional accuracy can be ensured.

Further, when the sealing member 10 is inserted into the first casing 2 or the second casing 3, a clamping pressure is applied in a direction in which the elastic members 11 are pressed against each other from the inner wall thereof. Therefore, the elastic member 11 is held in a state where the insertion member 5 is sandwiched.

In addition, it is preferable that the part which does not contact the insertion member 5 among the elastic members 11 protrudes in the insertion member 5 side rather than the part which contacts the insertion member 5. This means that the region of the elastic member 11 that is in contact with the insertion member 5 is recessed more inward than the other regions.

As shown in FIGS. 4 and 5, the elastic member 11 is provided with a notch and an openable / closable surface 12 that can be opened and closed. The open / close surface 12 is provided so as not to completely divide the elastic member 11. For this reason, the elastic member 11 can be opened and closed with a portion where the opening and closing surface 12 is not provided as a fulcrum.

As shown in FIGS. 7 to 10, the holding member 13 is a member that is preferably embedded in the elastic member 11. The clamping member 13 is, for example, a so-called U-shaped clip formed continuously from two plate-like portions extending substantially in parallel and a curved portion connecting them. The two plate-like portions of the clamping member 13 are opened so as to sandwich the insertion member 5, and are embedded along the opening / closing surface 12 of the elastic member 11. Here, “embedding” is broadly interpreted to include not only a state in which the clamping member 13 is completely covered by the elastic member 11 but also a state in which only a part is covered. The same applies to the subsequent “burial”. The curved portion of the clamping member 13 is located at a portion that becomes a fulcrum when the elastic member 11 opens and closes. Therefore, the elastic member 11 can be opened and closed at the end portion opposite to the curved portion of the clamping member 13 by rotating around the curved portion of the clamping member 13.

As shown in FIG. 5, the insertion member 5 can be inserted into the opening / closing surface 12 by opening the opening / closing surface 12 of the elastic member 11. Since the opening / closing surface 12 opens on one end side of the elastic member 11, the insertion member 5 can be inserted from the end of the opening / closing surface 12 on the opening side. Therefore, since it is not necessary to insert the insertion member 5 in the length direction, the sealing member 10 can be easily attached to the insertion member 5 even when the insertion member 5 has the connector 6 or the like. When the user stops applying the force for opening the elastic member 11 to the sealing member 10, the elastic member 11 is driven in a direction to sandwich the insertion member 5 by the restoring force of the holding member 13. To do. Since the elastic member 11 is urged in the closing direction of the sealing member 10 by the clamping member 13, the elastic member 11 can maintain the open / close surface 12 closed with the insertion member 5 inserted. Therefore, when the sealing member 10 is opened, the insertion member 5 is disposed at a predetermined location, and the force applied to the sealing member 10 is released, the sealing member 10 drives the elastic member 11 in the closing direction. As a result, the insertion member 5 can be clamped.

In the sealing member 10 having the above-described configuration, it is not necessary to apply heat or pressure, or to irradiate radiation or the like when the sealing member 10 is attached to the insertion member 5. For this reason, the insertion member 5 is not damaged or deformed by heat, pressure, radiation, or the like. Further, in the sealing member 10, since the insertion member 5 and the sealing member 10 are not fixed, stress is applied to the fixing portion between the insertion member 5 and the sealing member 10 due to the tension on the insertion member 5. It is hard to occur and damage to the insertion member 5 can be prevented.

Further, in the mobile phone 1 including the sealing member 10 as described above, it is possible to prevent foreign matters such as water and dust from entering the mobile phone 1. This is because the sealing member 10 seals the gap between the inner wall of the first casing 2 or the second casing 3 of the mobile phone 1 and the insertion member 5. In particular, the elastic member 11 can seal the gap between the inner wall of the first casing 2 or the second casing 3 of the mobile phone 1 and the sealing member 10. Further, the elastic member 11 can seal the gap between the sealing member 10 and the insertion member 5.

Furthermore, in the sealing member 10 as described above, the state where the opening / closing surface 12 is closed by the clamping member 13 can be maintained. Therefore, in a state where the insertion member 5 is sandwiched by the opening / closing surface 12, foreign matter such as water or dust enters the mobile phone 1 between the elastic member 11 and the insertion member 5 or from the opening / closing surface 12. Can be prevented. Moreover, in the sealing member 10 as described above, since the clamping member 13 holds the insertion member 5, the sealing member 10 is not easily dropped from the insertion member 5. In particular, even when the first casing 2 or the second casing 3 is deformed or disassembled, the sealing member 10 can be kept attached to the insertion member 5 alone.

(Second Embodiment)
Next, a sealing member 20 according to a second embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings.

FIG. 11 is a perspective view of the sealing member 20 according to the second embodiment. FIG. 12 is a front view seen from the insertion direction of the insertion member 5 in a state where the sealing member 20 of FIG. 11 is closed. FIG. 13 is a front view seen from the insertion direction of the insertion member 5 in a state where the sealing member 20 of FIG. 11 is opened. In FIG. 12 and FIG. 13, the position of the clamping member 13 embedded in the elastic member 11 is indicated by a dotted line. In the following description, the same components as those of the sealing member 10 according to the first embodiment will be described using the same reference numerals.

The sealing member 20 is different from the sealing member 10 according to the first embodiment in the shape of the opening / closing surface 22. The opening / closing surface 12 of the sealing member 10 is formed by cutting from one end side of the elastic member 11, but the opening / closing surface 22 of the sealing member 20 is formed as a through hole in the elastic member 11. . Accordingly, when the user applies a force for opening the elastic member 11 to the sealing member 20, the opening / closing surface 22 is largely opened as shown in FIG. When the insertion member 5 is inserted into the opening / closing part 22 and the user releases the force for opening the elastic member 11, the elastic member 11 is driven in a direction to sandwich the insertion member 5 by the restoring force of the holding member 13. To do. Since the elastic member 11 is given a clamping force by the clamping member 13, the open / close surface 12 can be maintained in a closed state with the insertion member 5 inserted.

By configuring the sealing member 20 as described above, the user opens the sealing member 20, places the insertion member 5 in a predetermined location, and releases the force on the sealing member 20. The stopping member 20 is driven in a direction to close the elastic member 11, and as a result, the insertion member 5 can be clamped. Accordingly, the gap between the inner wall of the first casing 2 or the second casing 3 of the mobile phone 1 and the insertion member 5 is sealed by the sealing member 20, so that water, dust, or the like is placed inside the mobile phone 1. It is possible to prevent foreign matter from entering. In particular, the opening / closing surface 12 is superior in dustproofing or waterproofing properties because the end of the elastic member 11 is not cut.

3. Other Embodiments Although the mobile phone 1 including the sealing members 10 and 20 and the sealing member 10 according to the embodiments of the present invention has been described above, the present invention is limited to the above-described embodiments. However, the present invention can be implemented with various modifications.

In each of the above-described embodiments, the cellular phone 1 is exemplified as the electronic device. However, the sealing members 10 and 20 may be employed in an electronic device other than the cellular phone. For example, the sealing members 10 and 20 may be employed in a PDA, portable computer, or other precision device.

In the above-described embodiment, the mobile phone 1 has the first casing 2 and the second casing 3, but the present invention is not limited to such a configuration. The present invention can also be used when the electronic apparatus has only one housing and an opening for inserting some member is provided in the housing. In addition, the electronic device of the present invention may be a slide type mobile phone (where the first housing 2 slides relative to the second housing 3) instead of the folding mobile phone 1.

Moreover, in the above-mentioned embodiment, although the insertion member 5 is FPC, it is not restricted to such a form. The sealing members 10 and 20 can also be applied to the insertion member 5 other than the FPC. In such a case, each portion of the elastic member 11 that comes into contact with the insertion member 5 may be provided with a recess having a shape along the surface of the insertion member 5.

In the above-described embodiment, the insertion member 5 is sandwiched by one elastic member 11, but is not limited to such a form. For example, the insertion member 5 may be sandwiched between two or more other elastic members 11. Moreover, the elastic member 11 may be comprised from one type of elastic body layer, and may be comprised from the some elastic body layer. Further, a hard member other than the clamping member 13 may be embedded in the elastic member 11 for the purpose of improving the dimensional accuracy.

Further, in the above-described embodiment, the sealing members 10 and 20 are detachably attached to the insertion member 5, but are not limited to such a form. For example, once the sealing members 10 and 20 are attached to the insertion member 5, the sealing members 10 and 20 may be configured so that they cannot be removed unless the sealing members 10 and 20 are destroyed.

Further, in the sealing members 10 and 20 according to the above-described embodiment, the upper side and the lower side of the elastic member 11 sandwiching the insertion member 5 have the same size and shape. Not limited. The shape or size of the elastic member 11 may be asymmetric with respect to the insertion member 5. However, in order to make it difficult for foreign matter to enter, it is preferable that the unevenness of the outer peripheral portion of the elastic member 11 is small. Furthermore, it is preferable that the sealing members 10 and 20 have substantially symmetrical shapes with the insertion member 5 as the central axis. In such a case, the sealing members 10 and 20 can be in close contact with the inner surface of the housing at any part of the elastic member 11, so that foreign matter can uniformly enter from any part of the elastic member 11. Can be prevented.

Moreover, although the elastic member 11 is urged | biased in the close direction, it is not restricted to such a thing. For example, in the sealing members 10 and 20, when the elastic member 11 includes holding means for keeping the insertion member 5 sandwiched, the sandwiching member 13 may not be biased. For example, the sealing member 10 may have a set of hook mechanisms as still another holding means. Moreover, the elastic member 11 may be closed by the hook mechanism without being displaced in the horizontal direction with respect to the open / close surfaces 12 and 22.

Further, the elastic member 11 may be provided on the opening / closing surface 12 so that the concave portion and the convex portion face each other. In such a case, the elastic member 11 can be easily closed without being displaced in the horizontal direction with respect to the open / close surfaces 12 and 22.

In the above-described embodiment, the clamping member 13 is a U-shaped member, but is not limited to such a form. For example, the sandwiching member 13 may be a plate or rod-like member that can be elastically deformed, one that is bent, one that is spirally wound, or one that is coil spring-shaped.

Moreover, in the above-mentioned embodiment, although the clamping member 13 is embed | buried under the elastic member 11, it is not restricted to such a form. The clamping member 13 may be configured to be fixed to the elastic member 11 or to be fitted into the elastic member 11 other than a portion in contact with the insertion member 5, the first casing 2, and the second casing 3. Further, only a part of the clamping member 13 may be embedded in the elastic member 11.

FIG. 14 is a perspective view of a clamping member 23 included in a sealing member according to another modification of the present invention.

As shown in FIG. 14, the clamping member 23 may have a hook portion 24 at a U-shaped end as a holding means. In such a case, the end portion of the clamping member 23 is embedded so as to be exposed from the elastic member 11. Specifically, the side having the hook portion 24 of the clamping member 23 protrudes from the opening / closing surface 12 of the elastic member 11. On the other hand, the side of the clamping member 23 that does not have the hook portion 24 is buried so as to be exposed from the recess provided in the elastic member 11. And when closing the elastic member 11, as shown in FIG. 14, it can prevent that the elastic member 11 will be in the open state by hooking the hook part 24 of the clamping member 23 to the other end side.

FIG. 15 is a front view when seen from the direction in which the insertion member 5 is inserted in a state where the sealing member 40 according to still another modification of the present invention is opened. FIG. 16 is a front view when viewed from the direction in which the insertion member 5 is inserted in a state where the sealing member 40 of FIG. 15 is closed. In FIG. 15 and FIG. 16, the clamping member 43 is indicated by a dotted line.

In the above-described embodiment, the clamping member 13 is U-shaped, but is not limited thereto. As shown in FIG. 15 and FIG. 16, the clamping member 43 has a convex shape on the opposite side to the insertion member 5 (that is, outward) when at least one of the two plate-like members penetrates the insertion member 5. It may be a protruding ridge shape). When the holding member 43 having such a shape is pressed in the direction of the insertion member 5, the convex shape is reversed as shown in FIG. 16, and the convex shape vertex 44 is dented toward the insertion member 5, thereby opening and closing the opening / closing surface 22. It can be in a closed state.

FIG. 17 is a front view when the clamping member 53 included in the sealing member 50 according to still another modification of the present invention is viewed from the insertion direction of the insertion member 5.

As shown in FIG. 17, the sandwiching member 53 has a convex shape (a ridge shape protruding outward) as viewed from the insertion member 5 when both of the two plate-like members penetrate the insertion member 5. May be. In the holding member 53 having such a shape, when the convex vertex 54 is pressed in the direction of the insertion member 5, both convex shapes of the two plate-like members are reversed, and the vertex 54 is recessed toward the insertion member 5. Thus, the open / close surface can be closed.

FIG. 18 is a perspective view of a clamping member 63 included in a sealing member according to still another modification of the present invention. FIG. 19 is a perspective view showing an opened state on the upper side and a closed state on the lower side in the clamping member 64 included in the sealing member according to still another modified example of the present invention.

As shown in FIG. 18, the clamping member 63 has a hook portion 64 as a holding means, like the clamping member 23. Further, the sandwiching member 63 has a convex apex 65 on the opposite side to the insertion member 5 when the insertion member 5 is penetrated inside thereof. Therefore, in the clamping member 63, after the elastic member 11 is closed by the hook portion 64, the convex shape is reversed by pressurizing the apex 65, and the force with which the elastic member 11 grips the insertion member 5 is improved. be able to.

In addition, the clamping member which has an open end in one end side like the clamping members 13, 23, 63 can be embedded in the elastic member 11 having the opening / closing surface 12 formed by cutting from one end side. However, the clamping members 13, 23 and 63 may be embedded in the elastic member 11 having the opening / closing surface 22 formed as a through hole.
