Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing an artificial organ using various organs existing inside a living body such as a human body as a three-dimensional model, and an artificial organ manufactured by such a manufacturing method.
Conventionally, X-ray devices, CT scan devices, ultrasonic diagnostic devices, etc. have been used in the medical field, and doctors can determine the state of the affected area from data (two-dimensional data such as photographs and image data) obtained from these devices. Grasping or referencing these data to actually perform surgery. When actually operating on the human body, it is important to grasp not only the two-dimensional data such as photographs but also the target affected part three-dimensionally. For example, in the operation of treating the heart with a catheter, the structure to be specifically treated (the blood vessel through which the catheter actually invades and the site where the stent is installed) is three-dimensional in advance. It is preferable to keep track of it.
In addition, in surgery using a catheter, practical practice is also conducted for animals such as pigs as a preliminary step before actually operating on the human body. Since the anatomy is different and the structures of both organs are also different, it is not sufficient. Furthermore, even when practicing such animals, it is not possible to visually understand how the catheter behaves with the actual heart structure of the human body when operating the catheter. Can not.
For this reason, for example,
The photo-curable resin used in the production method disclosed in the above-mentioned patent document basically causes a polymerization reaction (absorbs light) to organic materials (monomers, oligomers, etc.) that form plastics. It is used in combination with a photopolymerization initiator for activation), and when it is irradiated with a laser beam of a predetermined wavelength, a polymerization reaction is caused, and the liquid level is increased when the molecule reaches a certain level or more. It has the property of changing from solid to solid.
However, such a photo-curing resin has extremely high hardness compared to an actual human organ, and does not have elasticity like an organ. The behavior when operating a simple catheter is also different, which is not appropriate for simulating actual surgery. Furthermore, it is difficult to easily produce an artificial model that can provide a tentacle sensation similar to that of an actual human organ and that reproduces its shape substantially faithfully.
The present invention has been made by paying attention to the above-described problems, and is capable of easily manufacturing a three-dimensional artificial organ formed of a material having elasticity similar to that of an actual human organ. It aims at providing the manufacturing method of an organ, and the artificial organ manufactured by such a manufacturing method.
In order to achieve the above-described object, a method for manufacturing an artificial organ according to the present invention is based on two-dimensional tomographic image data of a human organ to irradiate the first photocurable resin with laser light and An optical modeling step of forming an outer shape and irradiating the second photocurable resin with a laser beam to form an inner shape having an outer shape along the inner surface of the human organ; and the first photocurable property A basic mold forming step of creating a split mold having an internal space that matches the external shape of the human body organ formed of the resin, and a human body organ formed of the second photocurable resin. A core mold forming step for creating a split mold having an internal space that matches the external shape using an inner shape having an outer shape along the surface, and a split mold created in the core mold forming process is low. A core forming process in which a melting point metal is injected to form a core; The core formed in the core forming step is set through a predetermined gap in the internal space of the split mold created in the basic mold forming step, and a thermoplastic material having flexibility is injected into the gap, And a step of removing the core after the thermoplastic material having flexibility is cured.
In the manufacturing method described above, the external body of the human organ is obtained from the first photocurable resin by the optical modeling technique based on the two-dimensional tomographic image data of the human organ, and the human body is obtained from the second photocurable resin. An internal shape having an external shape along the internal surface of the organ is obtained, and these accurately reproduce the internal and external surfaces of the organ. Then, a split mold (basic mold) having an internal space that matches the external shape of the human body organ obtained from the first photocurable resin was prepared, and obtained from the second photocurable resin. A split mold (core type) having an internal space matching the outer shape is created from the inner shape having an outer shape along the inner surface of the human organ.
Thereafter, a low melting point metal is injected into the core mold to form a core, and the formed core is set in the internal space of the basic mold created as described above with a predetermined gap. Then, a thermoplastic material having flexibility is injected into the gap. And after the thermoplastic material which has a softness | flexibility hardens | cures, the artificial organ which has a softness | flexibility is manufactured by removing the said core (melting removal). In this case, since the basic mold and the core mold are created from what the outer shape and inner shape of the human organ are accurately reproduced by the stereolithography technique (the stereolithography product), the finally obtained artificial organ is Since the three-dimensional shape is based on the actually obtained two-dimensional image data and is formed of a flexible thermoplastic material, a material having a hardness similar to that of an actual human organ can be obtained.
In addition, in the above-described manufacturing process, the obtained artificial organ becomes transparent by using a transparent thermoplastic material having flexibility. Since such an artificial organ is flexible and transparent, the behavior when performing a procedure such as operating a catheter or installing a stent can be visually observed, and a practical and effective simulation is performed. It becomes possible.
According to the present invention, it is possible to easily manufacture a three-dimensional artificial organ formed of a material having elasticity similar to that of an actual human organ, and such an artificial organ.
Hereinafter, the method for producing an artificial organ according to the present invention will be specifically described with reference to FIGS. 1 and 2 to 8. In the artificial organ manufacturing method described below, the heart is taken up as a human organ.
As shown in FIG. 1, when manufacturing an artificial heart, first, two-dimensional tomographic image data of the heart is acquired (step S1). As is generally known, this two-dimensional tomographic image data (hereinafter referred to as tomographic image data) is obtained by photographing an actual human body with an image photographing apparatus typified by a CT scan. From this, it becomes possible to identify the outer and inner surfaces of the heart. The inside of the inner surface is an internal space (cavity) that defines the ventricle, atrium, vena cava, aorta, pulmonary artery, pulmonary vein, etc., and the thick part between the inner surface and the outer surface identifies the shape of the heart It becomes the covering part to be.
Next, from the acquired tomographic image data of the heart, an outer shape of the heart and an inner shape having an outer shape along the inner surface are formed by an optical shaping technique (step S2, step S4). The manufacturing process of the outer shape and the inner shape is performed separately, and is manufactured using a known stereolithography apparatus (irradiating a photocurable resin with laser light) based on the acquired tomographic image data. The Specifically, the tomographic image data is obtained for each photocurable resin that is sequentially laminated while continuously laminating a photocurable resin with a predetermined film thickness on the object forming unit of the optical modeling apparatus. It is formed by scanning a laser beam based on the above.
FIG. 2 is a perspective view showing the outer shape of the heart obtained by the optical modeling process in step S2. The
The
In the present embodiment, the protrusion formed in advance on the
The
In this case, the split mold as the basic mold may be made of metal, but elastic deformation is possible so that the direction in which the mold is pulled out and the cut position (division position) can be easily set according to the organ shape. It is preferable to use a material (for example, rubber). By using such a material, it is possible to flexibly cope with an organ having a complicated shape.
That is, in the
FIG. 3 is a perspective view showing an inner shape having an outer shape along the inner surface of the heart obtained by the optical modeling process in step S3 described above. The
The
The
In this case, the split mold, which is the core mold, can be elastically deformed so that the direction in which the mold is pulled out and the cut position (division position) can be easily set according to the organ shape, as in the basic mold described above. It is preferable to use a material (for example, rubber). By using such a material, it is possible to flexibly cope with an organ having a complicated shape.
In the
FIG. 6A shows the
In this case, the
The core 30 formed in step S6 is set in the
Thus, with respect to the
That is, by melting the low melting point metal (core 30), the ventricle (left ventricle, right ventricle) is formed by the
The
According to the method for manufacturing an artificial organ according to steps S1 to S9 as described above, based on the two-dimensional tomographic image data of the human body organ, the external body of the human body organ and the human body organ are respectively formed from the photocurable resin by the optical modeling technique. Since the inner shape having the outer shape along the inner surface is obtained, the inner surface and the outer surface of the human organ can be accurately reproduced. A basic mold is created from the outer shape of the human organ, a core mold is created from the inner body along the inner surface of the body organ, and the low melting point metal core created by the core mold is used as the basic mold. By installing and injecting a flexible thermoplastic material to obtain an artificial organ, a tentacle-like artificial organ close to the real thing can be manufactured easily and at low cost.
In addition, since the core mold is created and the core is formed of a low melting point metal, the core itself can be easily manufactured, and the production efficiency of the artificial organ can be increased.
In the present embodiment, a positioning portion that performs positioning when the
