また、クリップ4を取り付けた状態で軸筒外面と接触するように平面状の挟持部61が摩擦体6に形成されている。

本実施の形態では、ポリカーボネート樹脂中に着色材を添加した樹脂材料を射出成形することで取付部71が一体化されたキャップ7を形成している。前記取付部71は、四方の角部を落とした板状直方体がキャップ外面から突出するように形成されており、該板状直方体の長辺部側面のキャップ外面近傍には、軸方向に延設される溝部72が形成され、該取付部71の横断面は略T字状に形成されている(図5の断面図参照)。また、前記溝部72の軸方向の略中央には、径方向に突起が形成されており、両側面の溝部72で取付部71を挟持するようにクリップ4が係止されると共に、クリップ4が軸方向にスライドして脱落することを抑制している。前記取付部71に溝部72を設けた形状とすることで、クリップ4が筆記具本体の軸方向に対して前後方向(ポケット挿し込み時における上下方向)に取付可能となる。これにより、先端に摩擦体6を形成したクリップ4では、該クリップ先端を挟持状態から逆向きに付け替えて摩擦形態とすることで、支持基材5の係止部側にキャップ7が延設されるため、クリップ単独に比べて摩擦体使用時の把持性がより高いものとなる。

本実施の形態では、金属製板状支持基材5の後端に、折り曲げ加工による係止部51を形成すると共に、挟持部61を有するエラストマー製摩擦体6をインサート成形により支持基材5の先端に設けた。
前記係止部51は、キャップ7の取付部71にクリップ4を取り付けるための箇所であり、取付部71の溝部内にスライド挿入させて係止するための脚部52が、折曲片によって横断面略C字状に形成されている(図5の断面図参照)。前記脚部52は軸方向に形成されており、後端側(摩擦体が形成されていない軸方向端部)は別の折曲片によって封鎖されている。そのため、キャップ閉口部側からスライド挿入させて装着する際、該後端側が取付部71の一端と接触する位置までスライドさせた状態で確実に係止される。前記係止部51はクリップ4を軸方向に対して逆向き(即ち、キャップ開口部側からのスライド挿入)に装着する場合も同様の状態で係止できる。尚、取り外し時には装着時と逆方向にスライドさせることで容易に外すことができる。
