力センサーを有するプローブを、患者の体腔内に挿入することと、
力センサーから複数の測定値を受け取ることであって、測定値のそれぞれが、力センサーに加えられた力を示すことと、
少なくとも指定の持続時間の期間にわたって受け取った測定値が、既定量を超えて変動していないことを検出することと、
更なる測定で使用するために、力センサーの基準値を、期間中に受け取った測定値に基づく値に設定することと、を含む方法を提供する。
測定値が既定量を超えて変動していないことを検出した上で、測定値にフィルターを適用することであって、このフィルターが、特定の周波数範囲内でフィルター処理された測定値を分離するように構成されている、ことと、
フィルター処理された測定値が、プローブと体腔の組織との接触を示さないことを検出した上で、基準値を設定することと、を更に含み得る。
患者の体腔内に挿入するように構成され、力センサーに加えられる力を測定するための力センサーを含む、プローブと、
それぞれが力を示す複数の測定値を、力センサーから受け取って、少なくとも指定の持続時間の期間にわたって受け取った測定値が、既定量を超えて変動していないことを検出し、更なる測定で使用するために、力センサーの基準値を、期間中に受け取った測定値に基づく値に設定するように構成された、プロセッサと、を含む装置が、更に提供される。
心臓焼灼及び心臓内電気マッピングなどの、様々な診断処置並びに治療処置では、その遠位先端部に少なくとも1つの電極が取り付けられた、カテーテルなどの侵襲的プローブを使用する。この電極は、典型的には、体腔の表面にプローブが押し当てられるときに動作する。これらの処置では、通常は、遠位先端部が体腔表面に対して及ぼしている力を確認することが重要である。したがって、一部のカテーテルは、プローブと心内膜などの身体内組織との間の力を測定するための、力センサーを含む。
図1は、本発明の実施形態による、ゼロ点変動の検出及び補正を使用する、医療システム20の図である。システム20は、例えば、Biosense Webster Inc.(Diamond Bar,California)製造のCARTO(商標)システムに基づき得る。システム20は、カテーテルなどのプローブ22、及び制御コンソール24を含む。以降で説明する実施形態では、プローブ22は、診断処置又は治療処置のため、例えば心臓26内の電位をマッピングするため、若しくは心臓組織の焼灼を実行するために使用されると想定される。あるいは、プローブ22は、心臓内又は他の身体器官内での、他の治療目的及び/又は診断目的のために、必要な変更を加えて使用してもよい。
図3は、本発明の実施形態による、心臓内処置の間に力センサー64によって送信された、測定値を含む信号72に関する、力(グラム単位)対時間(秒単位)をプロットするグラフ70である。信号72が、指定の持続時間Tmaxにわたってノイズ閾値ΔFminの範囲内である場合、遠位先端部34は、心内膜組織と接触していないと想定することができる。その一方で、信号72が、ΔFminを超えて変動する場合、遠位先端部34は、心内膜組織と接触していると想定することができる。
(1) 方法であって、
力センサーを有するプローブを、患者の体腔内に挿入することと、
前記力センサーから複数の測定値を受け取ることであって、前記測定値のそれぞれが、前記力センサーに加えられた力を示す、ことと、
少なくとも指定の持続時間の期間にわたって受け取った前記測定値が、既定量を超えて変動していないことを検出することと、
更なる測定で使用するために、前記力センサーの基準値を、前記期間中に受け取った前記測定値に基づく値に設定することと、を含む、方法。
(2) 前記プローブが、心臓カテーテルを含む、実施態様1に記載の方法。
(3) 前記体腔が心腔を含む、実施態様1に記載の方法。
(4) 前記測定値が前記既定量を超えて変動していないことを検出した上で、前記測定値にフィルターを適用することであって、前記フィルターが、特定の周波数範囲内でフィルター処理された測定値を分離するように構成されている、ことと、
前記フィルター処理された測定値が、前記プローブと前記体腔の組織との接触を示さないことを検出した上で、前記基準値を設定することと、を含む、実施態様1に記載の方法。
(5) 前記基準値を設定することが、前記受け取った測定値に基づく関数を計算することを含む、実施態様1に記載の方法。
(6) 前記関数が、前記受け取った測定値の平均を含む、実施態様5に記載の方法。
(7) 前記指定の持続時間が、少なくとも単一心周期を含む、実施態様1に記載の方法。
(8) 前記既定量が、前記力センサーのノイズ変動よりも大きい、実施態様1に記載の方法。
(9) 前記受け取った測定値が前記既定量を超えて変動することを検出した上で、前記受け取った測定値から前記基準値を差し引くことにより、前記プローブの遠位先端部によって前記体腔の表面に加えられた力を評価することを含む、実施態様1に記載の方法。
(10) 装置であって、
患者の体腔内に挿入するように構成され、力センサーに加えられる力を測定するための前記力センサーを含む、プローブと、
それぞれが前記力を示す複数の測定値を、前記力センサーから受け取って、少なくとも指定の持続時間の期間にわたって受け取った前記測定値が、既定量を超えて変動していないことを検出し、更なる測定で使用するために、前記力センサーの基準値を、前記期間中に受け取った前記測定値に基づく値に設定するように構成される、プロセッサと、を含む装置。
(12) 前記体腔が心腔を含む、実施態様10に記載の装置。
(13) 前記プロセッサは、前記測定値が前記既定量を超えて変動していないことを検出した上で、前記測定値に、特定の周波数範囲内でフィルター処理された測定値を分離するように構成されているフィルターを適用し、かつ前記フィルター処理された測定値が、前記プローブと前記体腔の組織との接触を示さないことを検出した上で、前記基準値を設定するように構成される、実施態様10に記載の装置。
(14) 前記フィルターが、帯域通過フィルターを含む、実施態様13に記載の装置。
(15) 前記プロセッサが、前記受け取った測定値に基づく関数を計算することによって、前記基準値を設定するように構成される、実施態様10に記載の装置。
(16) 前記関数が、前記受け取った測定値の平均を含む、実施態様15に記載の装置。
(17) 前記指定の持続時間が、少なくとも単一心周期を含む、実施態様10に記載の装置。
(18) 前記既定量が、前記力センサーのノイズ変動よりも大きい、実施態様10に記載の装置。
(19) 前記プロセッサが、前記受け取った測定値が前記既定量を超えて変動することを検出した上で、前記受け取った測定値から前記基準値を差し引くことにより、前記プローブの遠位先端部によって前記体腔の表面に加えられた力を評価するように構成される、実施態様10に記載の装置。
(20) 力センサーに加えられる力を測定するための前記力センサーを含む医療プローブと共に動作するコンピュータソフトウェア製品であって、前記製品は、プログラム命令が記憶された非一時的コンピュータ読み取り可能媒体を含み、この命令は、コンピュータによって読み取られると、前記コンピュータに、それぞれが前記力を示す複数の測定値を前記力センサーから受け取らせ、少なくとも指定の持続時間の期間にわたって受け取った前記測定値が、既定量を超えて変動していないことを検出させ、更なる測定で使用するために、前記力センサーの基準値を、前記期間中に受け取った前記測定値に基づく値に設定させる、コンピュータソフトウェア製品。
Claims (11)
- 装置であって、
患者の体腔内に挿入するように構成され、力センサーに加えられる力を測定するための前記力センサーを含む、プローブと、
それぞれが前記力を示す複数の測定値を、前記力センサーから受け取って、少なくとも指定の持続時間の期間にわたって受け取った前記測定値が、既定量を超えて変動していないことを検出し、更なる測定で使用するために、前記力センサーの基準値を、前記期間中に受け取った前記測定値に基づく値に設定するように構成される、プロセッサと、を含む装置。 - 前記プローブが、心臓カテーテルを含む、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記体腔が心腔を含む、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記プロセッサは、前記測定値が前記既定量を超えて変動していないことを検出した上で、前記測定値に、特定の周波数範囲内でフィルター処理された測定値を分離するように構成されているフィルターを適用し、かつ前記フィルター処理された測定値が、前記プローブと前記体腔の組織との接触を示さないことを検出した上で、前記基準値を設定するように構成される、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記フィルターが、帯域通過フィルターを含む、請求項4に記載の装置。
- 前記プロセッサが、前記受け取った測定値に基づく関数を計算することによって、前記基準値を設定するように構成される、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記関数が、前記受け取った測定値の平均を含む、請求項6に記載の装置。
- 前記指定の持続時間が、少なくとも単一心周期を含む、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記既定量が、前記力センサーのノイズ変動よりも大きい、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記プロセッサが、前記受け取った測定値が前記既定量を超えて変動することを検出した上で、前記受け取った測定値から前記基準値を差し引くことにより、前記プローブの遠位先端部によって前記体腔の表面に加えられた力を評価するように構成される、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 力センサーに加えられる力を測定するための前記力センサーを含む医療プローブと共に動作するコンピュータソフトウェア製品であって、前記製品は、プログラム命令が記憶された非一時的コンピュータ読み取り可能媒体を含み、この命令は、コンピュータによって読み取られると、前記コンピュータに、それぞれが前記力を示す複数の測定値を前記力センサーから受け取らせ、少なくとも指定の持続時間の期間にわたって受け取った前記測定値が、既定量を超えて変動していないことを検出させ、更なる測定で使用するために、前記力センサーの基準値を、前記期間中に受け取った前記測定値に基づく値に設定させる、コンピュータソフトウェア製品。
