Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a mosquito bait agent and a mosquito control method.
Examples of the method for killing flying insects such as mosquitoes include a method of spraying an insecticide with a spray or the like. However, this method is thought to adversely affect humans by inhaling sprayed insecticidal components. Moreover, this method sprays an insecticide each time after confirming the presence of flying insects. However, the presence of mosquitoes is often noticed by mosquito bites, and this method cannot prevent mosquitoes in advance.
For example, the following traps are known as devices that control insects regardless of whether humans confirm the presence of flying insects.
(I) An olfactory attracting capturing member (capturing agent is peanut oil or the like) is placed in a container, and the upper part of the container is green and the lightness of the lower part is lower than the lightness of the upper part (Patent Document 1).
(Ii) A trap that attracts mosquitoes by using an adhesive trap as a means for capturing mosquitoes, and blacking the inner peripheral surface of the container for storing the capture means with a black cloth or the like (Patent Document 2).
In these traps (i) and (ii), the color of the container is selected based on the knowledge of the habit of insects and the habit of flying color, and the flying insect is attracted by the color of the container.
However, since the traps (i) and (ii) capture flying insects such as mosquitoes on the spot with the olfactory attracting capture member and the adhesive trap, the region where the flying insects are once captured in these capture members is It cannot be used for capture again. For this reason, they require a large capture space to capture a large number of mosquitoes. Moreover, since the capture space decreases as mosquitoes are captured, the frequency of replacement of the traps increases when trying to capture mosquitoes continuously.
Moreover, what can control insects, such as a mosquito, only by installing like this is excellent in the attracting effect of those insects, and it is desirable to have a high lethal effect.
The present invention aims to provide a bait agent for mosquitoes that has excellent attracting and lethal effects only by being installed, has high durability, and can be made compact, and a method for controlling mosquitoes using the bait agent for mosquitoes And

The insecticidal component A contained in the chemical solution is not particularly limited as long as it is a component that can be controlled by mosquito feeding, and examples thereof include boric acid and / or a salt thereof. Of these, boric acid is preferred.
Examples of the borate include sodium borate, potassium borate, calcium borate, and magnesium borate.
As the insecticidal component A, boric acid may be used, borate may be used, or a mixture thereof may be used. Moreover, the insecticidal component A may be used individually by 1 type, and may use 2 or more types together.
The content of the insecticidal component A in the chemical solution varies depending on the type of the insecticidal component A, but when the insecticidal component A is boric acid and / or a salt thereof, 0.1 to 5 mass relative to the total mass of the chemical solution. % Is preferable, 0.2 to 5% by mass is more preferable, and 0.5 to 5% by mass is more preferable.
If the said content is 0.1 mass% or more, the lethal effect with respect to a mosquito will improve. When the content is 5% by mass or less, it becomes easy to dissolve the insecticidal component A in the chemical solution, and precipitation is not easily caused, and the economy is excellent. In addition, mosquitoes can easily eat chemicals without repelling them, and the lethal effect on mosquitoes is improved.
In addition to the insecticidal component A, the chemical solution preferably contains at least one compound selected from the group consisting of hexose, sugar alcohol and disaccharide (hereinafter referred to as “compound (I)”). . By incorporating Compound (I) into the chemical solution, the attracting effect is improved and the lethal effect of mosquitoes is further improved. This is considered to be because the compound (I) exhibits an attracting action on mosquitoes and improves the feeding efficiency of mosquitoes.
Examples of hexose include D-fructose (fructose), D-glucose (dextrose), D-galactose, and the like.
Examples of the sugar alcohol include D-sorbitol and D-mannitol.
Examples of the disaccharide include maltose and sucrose (sucrose).
Compound (I) may be used alone or in combination of two or more.
0.1-20 mass% is preferable with respect to the total mass of the said chemical | medical solution, as for content of compound (I) in a chemical | medical solution, 1-15 mass% is more preferable, and 3-10 mass% is further more preferable. If content of compound (I) exists in the said range, the attracting effect with respect to a mosquito will improve, and the lethal effect with respect to a mosquito will improve.
The chemical | medical solution in this invention may contain other components other than the insecticidal component A and compound (I) as needed within the range which does not impair the effect of this invention.
Other components are not particularly limited, and conventionally known additives can be used. Examples of the additive include preservatives, solubilizers, fragrances, and coloring agents. These additives may be used individually by 1 type, and may use 2 or more types together.
The chemical solution can be prepared by dissolving the insecticidal component A, compound (I), and other components as necessary in water.
[Mosquito control method]
The mosquito control method of the present invention is a method of controlling mosquitoes using the mosquito bait agent of the present invention described above.
The bait agent for mosquitoes of the present invention is used by exposing part or all of the impregnated substrate from the chemical surface so that the mosquito can be moored on the impregnated substrate. When the impregnated substrate is completely immersed in the chemical solution, since there is no scaffold for mosquito mooring, the feeding efficiency is lowered and a sufficient lethal effect cannot be obtained.
Examples of the control method using the mosquito bait agent of the present invention include a method in which an impregnated substrate is wetted with a chemical solution from a container or the like using a chemical solution supply body (liquid absorption core). Specifically, a method using the
As shown in FIG. 1, the
The material of the container 1 is not particularly limited.
The color of the container 1 is preferably, for example, a lightness defined by JIS Z8721, that is, a lightness of the Munsell color system exceeding 4 and a hue different from that of the impregnated substrate, and white having a lightness exceeding 4 is particularly preferable. By making the colors of the container 1 and the impregnated
As the chemical
In the
In this way, the
As described above, the conventional traps (i) and (ii) attract flying insects such as mosquitoes depending on the color of the container. In other words, the insect attracted to the container is not necessarily moored to a capture member such as an adhesive trap, and even if the attracting effect is improved, it does not immediately lead to the improvement of the lethal effect.
In contrast, the bait agent for mosquitoes of the present invention has a lightness of 1 to 4 for the color of the impregnated substrate impregnated with the drug, and enhances the mosquito attracting effect of the impregnated substrate itself that serves as a scaffold for the mosquito to eat, Furthermore, the feeding behavior of mosquitoes on the impregnated substrate was promoted. Therefore, the improvement of the attracting effect appears as an improvement of the lethal effect as it is, and mosquitoes can be controlled with an excellent lethal effect. In addition, the inventors of the present invention have found that a very high attractive effect can be obtained not only in black but also in hues from 1R to 9R by examining the habits of mosquito mooring and flight colors in detail. By using these colors for the impregnated substrate, the lethal effect can be further enhanced.
Further, the present invention controls mosquitoes by feeding a chemical solution on the impregnated substrate, and does not capture and kill mosquitoes on the impregnated substrate. In other words, mosquitoes eat chemicals on the impregnated substrate and die after flying again. Therefore, even if the mosquito control is continued, the impregnated substrate does not generate an unusable region, and even when trying to control a large number of mosquitoes, it is not necessary to enlarge the impregnated substrate more than necessary. It can be made compact. Furthermore, since it is not necessary to frequently replace the impregnated substrate, mosquitoes can be controlled continuously and excellent in sustainability.
Moreover, the bait agent for mosquitoes of the present invention can attract and control mosquitoes by an easy means of simply installing them, and can also prevent adverse effects on humans because insecticidal components do not volatilize.
The control method of the present invention is not limited to the method using the above-described
Hereinafter, the present invention will be described in detail with reference to Examples and Comparative Examples. However, the present invention is not limited by the following description. In this example, “%” means “% by mass”. Further, the brightness, hue, and saturation in the present embodiment are defined by JIS Z8721.
In addition, the filter paper used as the impregnation substrate in this example uses color conversion free software “Coloring Master Millennium II for windows”, and outputs each color converted from Munsell notation values to RGB notation values on a personal computer. It was obtained by printing on filter paper.

[Comparative Examples 1-3]
The number of dead individuals was measured in the same manner as in Example 1 except that the color brightness and hue of the filter paper impregnated with the chemical solution were changed as shown in Table 1. For hues 5R, 5G, and 5B, the saturation was 4.
About the lethal effect of Chikaeka of Examples 1-4 and Comparative Examples 1-3, it evaluated on the following references | standards.
A: The number of dead animals was 25 or more.
○: The number of dead individuals was 15 or more and less than 25.
Δ: The number of dead individuals was 10 or more and less than 15.
X: The number of dead individuals was less than 10.
Table 1 shows the evaluation results of the lethal effects of Chikaeka of Examples 1 to 4 and Comparative Examples 1 to 3. However, the numbers in parentheses in Table 1 are the number of deaths of Chikaeka.
As shown in Table 1, in Examples 1 to 4 in which the lightness of the color of the filter paper (impregnated substrate) was 1 to 4, the number of dead individuals was large and the lethal effect of mosquitoes was high. This is considered to be because the attracting effect by the color of the filter paper was improved and the feeding efficiency of the mosquito chemical was improved. In Examples 1 to 4, the lethal effect was particularly high in 5R (red) and black compared to 5G (green) and 5B (blue).
On the other hand, in Comparative Examples 1-3 in which the lightness is larger than 4, the lethal effect of mosquitoes was low, and the lethal effect decreased as the lightness increased regardless of the hue.

[Comparative Example 4]
Except that the color of the filter paper (impregnated substrate) was changed as shown in Table 2, the number of dead individuals and the number of moorings were measured in the same manner as in Example 5. The results are shown in Table 2. The evaluation criteria for the lethal effect are the same as described above.
As shown in Table 2, in Example 5 where the color of the impregnated substrate is black (lightness 1, hue N), the color of the outer surface of the container is white (lightness 9.5, hue N). There were many mosquito visits, and a high lethal effect was obtained.
On the other hand, in Comparative Example 4 where the color of the impregnated substrate and the outer surface of the container were both white (lightness 9.5, hue N), the number of mosquito visits to the impregnated substrate was very small, and the lethal effect was particularly low.

An aqueous solution (chemical solution) containing 1% boric acid and 1% sugar is placed in a plastic cup (diameter 5 cm,
[Comparative Example 5]
Except that the filter paper impregnated with an aqueous solution (chemical solution) containing 1% boric acid and 1% sugar was replaced with white (lightness 9.5, hue N) filter paper, 6 hours later The number of dead individuals and the total number of moorings on the impregnated substrate impregnated with the chemical solution were measured.
In the evaluation of Example 6 and Comparative Example 5, the number of deaths of Chikaeka was “the number of Chikaeka heads that were moored and impregnated on the impregnated substrate impregnated with the chemical solution”, and the total number of moorings on the impregnated substrate impregnated with the chemical solution. After subtracting the number of dead individuals, the number of moored chikaeka heads was evaluated, and the effect of the lightness of the impregnated substrate on the feeding behavior of chikaeka was evaluated. The results are shown in Table 3.
As shown in Table 3, in Example 6 where the color of the impregnated substrate was black (lightness 1, hue N), compared to Comparative Example 5 where the color of the impregnated substrate was white (luminance 9.5, hue N), “The number of Chikaeka only moored” is 6 times (18/3), while “the number of Chikaeka moored and impregnated on the impregnated substrate impregnated with chemicals” is 15.5 times (31/2) It became bigger. This result suggests that when the color of the impregnated substrate is black rather than white, the proportion of feeding behavior when Chikaeka is moored increases and the lethal effect increases.
