(2)請求項の発明によるセグメント型回転電機は、内周に複数のスロットが設けられた固定子鉄心と、前記スロットに挿入され、かつ前記固定子鉄心の端面から突出するセグメント導体を接続して形成されたコイル巻線であって、前記固定子鉄心の端面から突出したコイルエンドにおいて前記セグメント導体が屈曲されたコイル巻線と、コイルエンドにおける相間絶縁、コイル導体間絶縁のためにコイル導体間に環状に配設して使用され、少なくとも一方の面に浮き上がり防止突起を有する絶縁紙とを備えることを特徴とする。
(3)請求項の発明による回転電機は、複数のスロットを有する固定子鉄心、および一つのスロット内に少なくもN本のコイル導体が径方向に並んで挿通されて固定子鉄心に捲回される固定子巻線を有する固定子と、前記固定子に対して回転する回転子とを備え、前記複数のスロット内のN本のコイル導体のそれぞれは、前記固定子鉄心の周方向に環状に並列されて第1〜第Nの環状列を構成し、前記第1〜第Nの環状列を構成するコイル導体が突出する少なくとも一方のコイルエンドにおいて、少なくともいずれか一対の環状列の間に、絶縁材料で製作された絶縁紙が介在し、前記絶縁紙の少なくとも一方の面に浮き上がり防止突起が設けられていることを特徴とする。
(4)請求項の発明は、請求項に記載の回転電機製造する方法において、前記コイル導体は略U字形状のセグメント導体であり、前記セグメント導体を、一方のコイルエンド側から前記スロットを貫通して他方のコイルエンドに突出させる第1工程と、前記絶縁紙を前記セグメント導体の環状列の間に配設する第2工程と、前記他方のコイルエンドに突出するセグメント導体の端部を折れ曲げる第3工程と、前記セグメント導体の折れ曲がった端部同士を溶接する第4工程とを備えることを特徴とする。
