Abstract
Description
多結晶ダイヤモンド(PCD)板を用意するステップ、
該PCD板及び超硬合金基板を、結合剤の存在下で1つにまとめて、未結合組立品を形成するステップ、
該未結合組立品に、少なくとも4.5GPaの圧力、及び結合剤の融点未満の温度で、少なくとも150秒の間、初期圧縮を受けさせるステップ、並びに、次いで
該未結合組立品に、該結合剤の融点を上回る温度、及び少なくとも4.5GPaの圧力を、該結合剤が溶融し、該基板に該PCD板を結合させて、複合ダイヤモンド成形体を形成するのに十分な時間で受けさせるステップと
を含む、超硬合金基板に結合したPCD成形体を含む複合ダイヤモンド成形体の製造方法が提供される。
Claims (12)
- 多結晶ダイヤモンド(PCD)板を用意するステップ、
該PCD板及び超硬合金基板を、結合剤の存在下で1つにまとめて、未結合組立品を形成するステップ、
該未結合組立品に、少なくとも4.5GPaの圧力、及び結合剤の融点未満の温度で、少なくとも150秒の間、初期圧縮を受けさせるステップ、並びに、次いで
該未結合組立品に、該結合剤の融点を上回る温度、及び少なくとも4.5GPaの圧力を、該結合剤が溶融し、該基板に該PCD板を結合させて、複合ダイヤモンド成形体を形成するのに十分な時間で受けさせるステップと
を含む、超硬合金基板に結合したPCD成形体を含む複合ダイヤモンド成形体の製造方法。 - 前記PCD板が、ダイヤモンド−ダイヤモンド結合と、多孔質微細構造と、該多孔質微細構造の細孔中に第2の相の材料を有する、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記第2の相の材料が溶媒/触媒である、請求項2に記載の方法。
- 前記多孔質微細構造の前記細孔が、前記第2の相の材料を実質的に含まない、請求項2に記載の方法。
- 前記初期圧縮の温度が、大気温度である、又はほぼ大気温度である、請求項1から4までのいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記初期圧縮の温度が大気温度を上回る、請求項1から4までのいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記初期圧縮の温度が、前記時間の一部の間において、大気温度である、又は大気温度付近であり、前記時間の残りの部分の間において、大気温度を上回る、請求項1から4までのいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記初期圧縮の温度が、少なくとも200秒の間維持される、請求項1から7までのいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記圧力が、前記初期圧縮中において、4.5GPaから5.5GPaの間である、請求項5に記載の方法。
- 前記結合剤の供給源が前記超硬合金基板である、請求項1から9までのいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記結合剤が、前記PCD板と前記超硬合金基板との間のシム又は層として提供される、請求項1から9までのいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記結合剤が、コバルト、アルミニウム、銀、銅、ケイ素、及びそれらの合金から選択される、請求項1から11までのいずれか一項に記載の方法。
