Abstract

Claims (10)
- ポータブル・デバイスの耐用年数を延長するための方法であって、
ポータブル・デバイスのバッテリをモニターするステップであって、前記バッテリが少なくとも2つのバッテリ・バンクと少なくとも1つのスペア・バンクとを含む、前記モニターするステップと、
問題バンクを識別するステップと、
前記問題バッテリ・バンクを前記少なくとも1つのスペア・バンクと交換するために、前記バッテリに関する接続スキーマを再構成するステップと、
前記問題バンクをコンディショニングまたはエクササイズするステップと、
前記問題バンクを再充電するために前記ポータブル・デバイスを電源機構に接続するステップと、
前記少なくとも1つのスペア・バンクなしの前記接続スキーマにより、前記再充電または修理したバンクを再接続するステップと、
前記バッテリの全電荷を維持しながら、前記コンディショニング中に前記ポータブル・デバイスの継続使用を行うことを特徴とする、方法。 - 前記問題バンクが、実質的に新しいバッテリ・バンクと比較して、エネルギー密度、電荷、容量、または内部抵抗のうちの少なくとも1つが欠乏していることを特徴とする、請求項1記載の方法。
- 前記問題バンクの内部抵抗が欠乏している、請求項1記載の方法。
- 前記問題バンクをコンディショニングまたはエクササイズするために前記問題バンクの電圧または電流の周期変動を行うことを特徴とする、請求項1記載の方法。
- 前記バッテリ・バンクを順に放電し、続いて部分充電を行うことを特徴とする、請求項1記載の方法。
- 前記ポータブル・デバイスがラップトップ・コンピュータを含むことを特徴とする、請求項1記載の方法。
- 前記ポータブル・デバイスが、携帯電話、MP3プレーヤ、テレビ、携帯情報端末、またはツールを含むことを特徴とする、請求項1記載の方法。
- 少なくとも2つのバッテリ・バンクと少なくとも1つのスペア・バンクとを含むバッテリと、
前記少なくとも2つのバッテリ・バンクの状況をモニターするためのセンサと、
問題バンクを前記少なくとも1つのスペア・バンクと交換するために、前記バッテリの接続スキーマを再構成するための接続コントローラと、
バンクの放電および再充電の速度を制御し、問題バンクをコンディショニングまたはエクササイズするための放電/エクササイズ・コントローラと、
を特徴とする、ポータブル・デバイス。 - 前記ポータブル・デバイスがラップトップ・コンピュータを含むことを特徴とする、請求項8記載のポータブル・デバイス。
- 前記ポータブル・デバイスが、携帯電話、MP3プレーヤ、テレビ、携帯情報端末、またはツールを含むことを特徴とする、請求項8記載のポータブル・デバイス。
