Abstract

Description

  The present invention relates to the storage of bras for women's underwear, in particular to ensure the protection of the structural integrity of the brassiere. The present invention further relates to a brassiere support assembly that provides bra storage in a manner that prevents damage to the bra cup.   Numerous attempts have been made to address the known problem of bra cup damage that often occurs when a bra is improperly stowed. Bra storage is considered important to avoid structural damage to the bra cup and to extend the life of the bra.

  The embodiments referred to herein are exemplary and are not to be considered as limiting the scope of the invention.   FIG. 1 is an exploded view showing a simple form of a brassiere support assembly 1 with a brassiere support member 2 according to one embodiment. This arrangement can be effected by slide engagement, according to one embodiment. Alternatively, the support member can be advanced by using a ratchet mechanism. Various other forms of releasable engagement between the support member and the base can be used, such as snap engagement adjustment. Preferably, the base and support members are manufactured from individual plastic molds with sizes that can be varied as required. According to one embodiment, the support assembly is configured to be included in the storage box in order to increase the life of the brassiere stored in the box. The box can typically include a storage location for bra accessories rather than cups. In other embodiments, the assembly can be positioned in a drawer, and a brassiere that can otherwise be randomly thrown into the drawer can be carefully protected from unwanted damage. The underside of the assembly can be configured with an adhesive means such as a peel-off and adhesive member to attach the assembly to the drawer base via the base.

  With this versatility built into the brassiere storage assembly, the user has a wide range of ability to adjust the form of the assembly depending on the number of brassies stored.
