Description
本出願は、参照により本明細書に全文が記載されているかのようにその内容が本明細書に組み入れられる、2008年2月22日に出願された米国特許仮出願第61/030,768号明細書の優先権の利益を主張するものである。
本発明は、移植可能な医療用構造体に関する。
Claims (21)
- 頂部と互いに対向して外方に向かって延びる2本の脚部とを有するコラーゲン繊維を備えている移植可能なバイオステープル。
- 骨のトンネル内にバイオステープルが取付けられるように、前記脚部が、移植後に元の位置に広がって、前記骨のトンネルの壁面又はスリーブに摩擦係合するように構成されている、請求項1に記載のバイオステープル。
- 移植時に乾燥した状態か又は部分的に水和した状態となっている請求項1に記載のバイオステープル。
- 前記コラーゲン繊維がNDGA重合コラーゲン繊維となっている、請求項1に記載のバイオステープル。
- 前記脚部が、約5mm〜10mmの間の長さである骨のトンネル内に配置されるように構成されている、請求項1に記載のバイオステープル。
- 完全に水和した非拘束状態での体外における測定時に、バイオステープルの構造体が、その断面積を平均して少なくとも約10%増加するように構成され、かつ前記乾燥状態又は前記部分的水和状態の場合と比較してほぼ一定の長さとなっている、請求項1に記載のバイオステープル。
- 約10本〜200本の間の細長い前記コラーゲン繊維を有している請求項1に記載のバイオステープル。
- 手又は手首のための側副靱帯としてサイズ設定され、かつ構成されている請求項1に記載のバイオステープル。
- 内側尺骨側副靱帯を構成している請求項1に記載のバイオステープル。
- 舟状月状靱帯を構成している請求項1に記載のバイオステープル。
- 複数の繊維を含み、頂部と外方に向かって延びる2本の脚部とを有し、最先端部分に斜角縁を有する末端部分を各脚部に設け、かつ各脚部の少なくとも一部分を、患者の骨のトンネルにおけるスリーブ又は壁面に摩擦係合させるために、体内で前記繊維の軸方向に実質的に直交する方向に広がるように構成した移植可能な生体適合性構造体を備えている移植可能な側副靱帯バイオプロテーゼ。
- 頂部、及び互いに対向して外方に向かって延びる2本の脚を備える複数のNDGA処理コラーゲン繊維を含み、かつ体内の環境及び適所に晒された時にその形状を維持するために十分な剛性を有する少なくとも1つの移植可能なバイオステープルと、
前記少なくとも1つのバイオステープルを密封可能に取り囲む無菌包装と
を備えている医療用キット。 - 前記バイオステープルが、靱帯修復術用、増強術用、又は置換術用の靱帯バイオプロテーゼとなっている、請求項12に記載の医療用キット。
- 前記バイオステープルが、手又は手首の靱帯修復術用、増強術用、又は置換術用の側副靱帯バイオプロテーゼとなっている、請求項12に記載の医療用キット。
- 医療用構造体を製造する方法であって、
複数のコラーゲン繊維を、頂部及び外方に向かって延びる2本の脚部を有するステープル形状に形成する工程と、
前記形状を維持するために前記コラーゲン繊維を加工処理する工程と、
前記形成したコラーゲン繊維を無菌包装内に封入する工程と
を含む方法。 - 前記形成する工程が、
前記コラーゲン繊維を、整列した細長い繊維の束とするように整列させる工程と、
前記コラーゲン繊維の束の中間部分を糸により保持する工程と、
前記糸を繊維ホルダーの内部の通路から外部に引き出す工程と、
前記コラーゲン繊維を折り畳み、かつ前記糸を用いて前記脚部の対向する末端部分を一緒に移動させるために、前記糸を引くことに応じて、前記繊維を前記繊維ホルダーの通路に通して引き出す工程と、
前記糸を、2つの間隔をあけた型のトンネルに通すように連続的に挿入する工程と、
前記折り畳まれた繊維を、前記挿入する工程に応じて、2つの間隔をあけた通路を通るように引く工程と
を含む請求項15に記載の方法。 - 前記コラーゲン繊維を前記封入する工程の前に、所望の乾燥状態又は部分的水和状態に脱水させる工程をさらに含む請求項15に記載の方法。
- 前記コラーゲン繊維がNDGA重合コラーゲン繊維である、請求項15に記載の方法。
- 生体的合成繊維から構成される医療用バイオステープルを製造するためのシステムであって、
コラーゲン繊維の少なくとも1つの束を保持する型と、
ゼラチンを含む液槽と、
前記ゼラチンが前記コラーゲン繊維に浸潤することを引き起こすように構成された、真空機構と
を備えているシステム。 - バイオステープルを作製するための型であって、
コラーゲン繊維の束の頂部における対向する側部にてステープルの脚部を形成するように、頂部の型の通路を挟んで間隔をあけた複数の対の実質的に垂直な型のトンネルを有する型本体を備えている型。 - 前記コラーゲン繊維を少なくとも1対の前記型のトンネル内に挿入するために、前記型本体と協働する糸を含んだホルダーをさらに備えている請求項20に記載の型。
