Description

The present invention relates to a business card substrate and a business card using the same. Specifically, the present invention relates to a business card base material having a high visual effect using a color change or image change due to a temperature change and a business card using the same.

Conventionally, since business information is printed with black ink using character information such as a company name and name, it has been difficult to differentiate from others. In recent years, the price of color printing has been reduced due to the improvement of printing technology, so in addition to the black text information, business logos and products, as well as business cards with color printing of business card distributor's face photo, etc. are used. Yes.
However, as the colorization progresses, business cards that have been subjected to the color printing described above are becoming more common, and even these business cards are difficult to differentiate from others.

In addition to this, a technique for identifying identification symbols such as letters and numbers by heating or over time has been disclosed for the purpose of facilitating the organization of information on owned business cards and preventing abuse of distributed business cards. (For example, see Patent Documents 1 and 2).
In the business card of Patent Document 1, when character information is converted into electronic data by an OCR (optical reader), an identification symbol such as a character or a number indicating what each item (name, company name, etc.) represents By heating as described above, a visually recognizable color is exhibited. Therefore, it is not related to the decoration effect of business cards, and it is difficult to visually differentiate from others.
Moreover, in the business card of patent document 2, by applying the character using the scientific change material, when passing it to the other party, there is no difference from an ordinary business card, and the character by the scientific change material appears with the passage of time. Is. Therefore, it is not related to the decorative effect of the business card and cannot be visually recognized at the time of delivery, so it is difficult to visually differentiate from others.

The color-changing material constituting the reversible thermochromic layer can be applied to either reversible thermochromic property or irreversible thermochromic property, but a material having reversible thermochromic property that can be used repeatedly is suitable. .
As the reversible thermochromic material, in particular, (a) an electron-donating color-forming organic compound, (b) an electron-accepting compound, and (c) an essential reaction medium that determines the temperature at which the color reaction of the two occurs. A microcapsule pigment in which a reversible thermochromic composition that is decolored by heating containing at least three components is encapsulated in a microcapsule is effective.
As the reversible thermochromic composition, a general-purpose material can be used as appropriate, and specifically, Japanese Patent Publication No. 51-35414, Japanese Patent Publication No. 51-44706, and Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 7-186540. Mention may be made of the reversible thermochromic compositions described.
Further, as described in Japanese Patent Publication No. 1-29398 proposed by the present applicant, a highly sensitive reversible thermochromic composition having a hysteresis width of 3 ° C. or less with respect to a color density-temperature curve due to temperature change is mentioned. It is done.
Furthermore, a temperature-sensitive color-changing color memory composition described in Japanese Examined Patent Publication No. 4-17154 proposed by the present applicant and which changes color while exhibiting a large hysteresis characteristic is also effective.
Further, as a thermochromic composition, a specific color having a linear or side chain alkyl group having 3 to 18 carbon atoms as an electron accepting compound proposed by the present applicant, which develops color by heating from a decolored state. Examples include a system to which an alkoxyphenol compound is applied (Japanese Patent Laid-Open Nos. 11-129623 and 11-5973), or a system to which a specific hydroxybenzoic acid ester is applied (Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 2001-105732). . Furthermore, a system to which a gallic acid ester or the like is applied (Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 2003-253149) can be applied.

The hysteresis characteristic in the color density-temperature curve of the microcapsule pigment encapsulating the reversible thermochromic composition (heat decoloring type) will be described with reference to the graph of FIG.
In FIG. 1, the vertical axis represents color density and the horizontal axis represents temperature. The change in color density due to the temperature change proceeds along the arrow. Here, A is a point indicating a density at a temperature t 4 (hereinafter referred to as a complete decoloring temperature) that reaches a completely decolored state, and B is a temperature t 3 (hereinafter referred to as a decoloring start temperature). C is a point indicating a density at a temperature t 2 at which color development starts (hereinafter referred to as a color development start temperature), and D is a temperature t 1 at which a complete color development state is reached (hereinafter referred to as a complete color development state). This is a point indicating a density at a color development temperature).
Discoloration temperature region is a temperature region between the t 1 and t 4, both phases of the colored state and the decolored state can coexist depending on heating or cooling, t 2 and t 3 is a region having a large difference in color density The temperature range between is the substantial discoloration temperature range (two-phase holding temperature range).
Further, the length of the line segment EF is a scale indicating the discoloration contrast, and the length of the line segment HG passing through the midpoint of the line segment EF [ie, t G −t H : t G = (t 3 + t 4 ) / 2, t H = (t 1 + t 2 ) / 2] is a temperature width indicating the degree of hysteresis (hereinafter referred to as hysteresis width ΔH), and if this ΔH value is small, in the normal temperature range of both states before and after the color change, Only one particular state can exist. Further, when the ΔH value is large, it is easy to maintain each state before and after the color change.

The water-repellent resin layer is obtained by adhering a water-repellent treatment liquid containing a water-repellent resin so as to form an image of an appropriate shape on the porous layer, and osmotically drying. Since the water-repellent resin layer is disposed in the coexisting state, the porous layer at the coexisting portion of the water-repellent resin layer does not form a water-absorbing state due to the water-repellent effect, and maintains an opaque state. Therefore, in the normal state (non-water-absorbing state), the water-repellent resin layer and the porous layer that are difficult to discriminate can be discriminated by absorbing water into the porous layer in the portion where the water-repellent resin layer is not provided.
The water-repellent resin is selected from water-repellent resins such as silicone, paraffin, polyethylene, alkylethylene urea, and fluorine.
Further, when forming the porous layer or the water-repellent resin layer, general-purpose dyes, pigments, glitter pigments and the like can be added.

Examples are shown below, but the present invention is not limited to these examples. In addition, the part in an Example is a mass part.

Example 1 (see FIGS. 2 and 3)
Preparation of business card base material White high-quality paper of business card size is used as the base material 2, and a substantially rectangular pattern in which fingerprints (extracted patterns) are formed in the vicinity of the four corners. The non-discoloring layer 4 was formed by screen printing using ink.
Furthermore, 6 parts of 6- (N-ethylisoamylamino) benzo [α] fluorane as component (a), 3 parts of 2,2-bis (4′-hydroxyphenyl) hexafluoropropane as component (b), 1,1 -Microcapsule pigment (T 1 : encapsulating a reversible thermochromic composition comprising 3 parts of bis (4'-hydroxyphenyl) -n-decane, 45 parts of stearyl caprate and 5 parts of stearyl laurate as component (c) 27 ° C., T 2 : 30 ° C., T 3 : 30 ° C., T 4 : 33 ° C., ΔH: 3.0 ° C., which changes color from red to colorless). A reversible thermochromic layer 3 was formed by performing rectangular solid screen printing so as to conceal the entire color-changing layer 4, and a business card substrate 1 was obtained.
In the obtained business card substrate 1, red strip decoration (reversible thermochromic layer 3) is visually recognized at both upper and lower edges at room temperature (before change), but the decoration part is heated to 33 ° C. or more at body temperature. When heated (after change), the reversible thermochromic layer 3 changes its color from red to colorless, and the lower non-color-changing layer 4 becomes visible, so that a fingerprint appears in the vicinity of the four corners. Moreover, since the reversible thermochromic layer 3 is colored red when left at room temperature, the decoration part returns to the original red strip decoration. In addition, the above-mentioned aspect change could be repeatedly expressed.

Production of Business Card A vertical business card 6 was obtained by printing character information 5 such as a company name, name, and address on the business card base 1 using a general-purpose business card printer.

Example 6
Preparation of Business Card Base Material Printing ink containing 1,3,3-trimethylindolino-6 ′-(1-piperidinyl) -spironaphthoxazine in the upper left part of the surface of the business card base material 2 prepared in Example 4 ( It is normally colorless and turns purple when exposed to ultraviolet light. After printing the letters and logo of “PILOT” (registered trademark) on the screen, it is dried to provide a photochromic layer (reversible photochromic layer). Substrate 2 was obtained (similar printing was formed for each business card size).
The business card substrate 2 showed the same color change and effect as in Example 4 due to temperature change, and the photochromic layer was not visually recognized (colorless state). When ultraviolet light hits the surface of the business card substrate 2, the letters “PILOT” and the logo appear purple, and when left in a dark place, the color disappears again. This aspect change could be repeated.

Production of Business Card A horizontal business card 6 was obtained by printing character information 5 such as a company name, name, and address on the business card base 1 using a general-purpose business card printer.
The obtained business card 6 shows the same changes and effects as in Example 4 according to the temperature change. Further, on the surface, the upper right portion of the base material is normally visually recognized as the white color of the base material. By bringing the business card close to the window, etc., and exposing it to sunlight, a photochromic layer appeared and a purple “PILOT” letter and logo emerged.
When left on the desk or the like in this state, the colored state was maintained in the bright place and returned to the original white color (transparent) in the dark place according to the sunlight in the room. This aspect change could be repeated.
Therefore, it became a business card that can display a desired image that cannot be visually recognized in the normal state due to temperature change and the amount of ultraviolet rays, and has a higher visual effect and salesability.
