特許文献3は籾殻に特定仕様のPVA(ポリビニールアルコール)系樹脂を含有させることにより圧縮強度を高めている。
特許文献4では籾殻に水を噴射させて表面を濡らした後、植物性接着剤粉を散布し、さらに水を噴射して該植物性接着剤粉を液状化し、撹拌機で撹拌混合するなど籾殻の接着処理に手間取るものである。
特許文献5は断熱性を追求した発明であるが、遮音性を有する建築資材の開発のベースとなったものである。
