Abstract

<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a driver to confirm a display of wearing a seatbelt in a rear seat while staying in a driver's seat, thereby raising the security awareness of the driver. <P>SOLUTION: A small wireless transmitter having a built-in reed switch is attached to the seatbelt in the rear seat. Description

  The present invention relates to an apparatus for visually confirming wearing of a rear seat belt of a vehicle at a driver's seat.

  Conventionally, when driving a vehicle, it is legally required to use a seat belt in a driver seat and a passenger seat, but the rear seat has no legal restriction. However, in June 2008, all seat belts were required to be worn. The cars that have been put on the market so far can confirm whether the driver's seat and the passenger's seat belt are worn in the driver's seat, but the rear seat cannot be confirmed.

  In spite of the background as described above, the seat belt wearing sign of the car is not yet displayed.

  In view of the above situation, the present invention makes it possible to display and confirm the wearing on the driver's seat in order to raise the passenger's consciousness of wearing the seat belt even in the rear seat, and it can be easily applied to an existing vehicle. It is an object of the present invention to provide an apparatus that can be attached and checked for wearing of all seats.

  In the present invention, in order to solve the above-described problems, a wireless transmitter incorporating a reed relay is attached to the seat belt of the rear seat, and a display lamp of a receiver installed on the front of the driver's seat is turned on by weak radio waves.

  According to the present invention, if the passenger who gets on the rear seat does not wear the seat belt, the lamp of the seat belt wearing indicator is turned off in the driver's seat, and the driver can urge the passenger to pay attention to wearing.

It is a wireless transmitter of the present invention. There is a wireless receiver display unit of the present invention.

  A wireless transmitter with a built-in reed switch is attached to the seat belt fixed buckle of the rear seat, and a small magnet is attached to the strap side. When the seat belt is worn, the magnet on the strap side turns on the reed switch of the fixed buckle, so that a weak radio wave is transmitted from the wireless transmitter, and the lamp of the front receiver is turned on.

Embodiments will be described below with reference to the drawings.
A wireless transmitter 1 is attached to the back of the fixed buckle 2. A thin magnet 4 is affixed to the back of the strap 3, and by wearing the seat belt accurately, the magnet 4 turns on the reed switch inside the wireless transmitter 1, and a weak radio wave is transmitted from the wireless transmitter. Then, the lamps 7 of the wireless receiver 5 provided on the front are respectively turned on.

The wireless transmitter 1 transmits weak radio waves on channels set to the left, center, and right of the seat belt on the rear seat, so that the left, center, and right lamps of the front wireless receiver 5 are lit.
By using a button battery, the wireless transmitter 1 can be thinned and can maintain a battery life of more than half a year.

  The wireless transmitter 1 attached to the fixed buckle is an integrated IC, and can be 5 mm thick and the size can be made smaller than the size of the back of the fixed buckle. The wireless transmitter is normally in a standby state, suppresses battery consumption, transmits a weak radio wave once when the reed switch is turned on, and returns to the standby state when the receiver lamp is lit.

  When the seat belt is removed and the reed switch is turned OFF, an OFF signal is transmitted and the state returns to the standby state. This can greatly extend battery life.

  The wireless receiver 5 uses alkaline batteries and can maintain a battery life of more than half a year even in the hot summer. The display device may be attached to the upper part of the windshield, but in the present invention, the display is obstructed so that it is a stand type.
