Abstract
【解決手段】コアが金属酸化物で構成され、シェルがシリカで構成されるコアシェル成分を含む基材で構成されることを特徴とする中間転写ベルト。

Description
テイカ株式会社(日本)から市販の二酸化チタンMT−150AW(BET比表面積は約50m2/gに等しく、表面処理なし)3gを、7グラムのFarbenfabriken Bayer A.G.から市販されている平均分子量が約50,000乃至約100,000のビスフェノール−A−ポリカーボネートMAKROLON(登録商標)5705、及び100グラムの塩化メチレンと混合した。この混合物を2ミリメートルのステンレスショットを用いて、一晩23時間、ボールミル粉砕することにより、均一な分散液を得た。次いで、得られた分散液を、3.5milの厚さを有する二軸延伸ポリ(エチレンナフタレート)(PEN)基材(KALEDEX(商標)2000)の上に、既知のドロー・バー・コーティング方法を用いてコーティングした。得られたフィルムをPEN基材に留めたまま約120℃で1分間乾燥させた。乾燥させ室温まで冷却した後、PEN基材上のフィルムは基材から自動的に剥離し、重量比30/70の二酸化チタン/ポリカーボネートの50ミクロン厚の中間転写部材を得た。
比較例1並びに実施例1及び2の上記ITB部材又はデバイスについて、1日後(約24時間後)に、High Resistivity Meter(三菱化学工業株式会社のHiresta−Up MCP−HT450)を用いて、表面抵抗率(種々のスポットにおける4乃至6回の測定の平均値、72°F/65%室内湿度)を測定した。次いで、比較例1及び実施例2のITBデバイスを、経時劣化調査のためにAゾーン(80°F/80%湿度)に順応させ、表面抵抗率を2ヶ月後に再び測定した。結果を表1に示す。

比較例1及び実施例2のITBデバイスにおける水の前進接触角(脱イオン水中)を、Contact Angle System OCA(Dataphysics Instruments GmbH、モデルOCA15)を用いて、周囲温度(約23℃)において測定した。少なくとも10回の測定を行い、それらの平均値を表2に示す。

Claims (4)
- コアが金属酸化物で構成され、シェルがシリカで構成されるコアシェル成分を含む基材で構成されることを特徴とする中間転写ベルト。
- 前記シェルは疎水性物質を含有し、疎水性物質で化学修飾され、
前記金属酸化物は、酸化チタン、酸化亜鉛、酸化スズ、酸化アルミニウム亜鉛、二酸化アンチモンチタン、酸化アンチモンスズ、酸化インジウム、酸化インジウムスズ、又はこれらの混合物であり、
前記疎水性物質は、ヘキサメチルジシラザン、2,2,4,4,6,6−ヘキサメチルシクロトリシラザン、1,3−ジエチル−1,1,3,3−テトラメチルジシラザン、1,1,3,3−テトラメチル−1,3−ジフェニルジシラザン、1,3−ジメチル−1,1,3,3−テトラフェニルジシラザン、及びこれらの混合物から成る群から選択されるシラザンであり、
前記コアシェル成分は、総固形分の重量に基づいて約10乃至約40重量%の量で存在し、随意にさらに、それぞれ総固形分の重量に基づいて約1〜約30重量%の量で存在するポリアニリン、カーボンブラック、及びこれらの混合物のうちの少なくとも1つの伝導性成分を含む、
ことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の中間転写ベルト。 - 前記基材の上に配置された剥離層をさらに含み、
前記剥離層は、フッ素化エチレンプロピレンコポリマー、ポリテトラフルオロエチレン、ポリフルオロアルコキシポリテトラフルオロエチレン、フルオロシリコーン、ビニリデンフルオライド及びヘキサフルオロプロピレン及びテトラフルオロエチレンのコポリマー又はターポリマー、或は随意にこれらの混合物を含む、
ことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の中間転写ベルト。 - 前記コアは、SbxSnyOzによって表される酸化アンチモンスズで構成され、ここで、xは約0.02乃至約0.98であり、yは約0.51乃至約0.99であり、zは約2.01乃至約2.49であり、前記シリカシェルは疎水性物質を含有し、疎水性物質で化学処理される、
或は、
前記コアは、SbxSnyOzによって表される酸化アンチモンスズで構成され、ここで、xは約0.40乃至約0.90であり、yは約0.70乃至約0.95であり、zは約2.10乃至約2.35であり、前記シリカシェルは、1,1,1−トリメチル−N−(トリメチルシリル)−シランアミンで処理されたシリカを含む、
ことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の中間転写ベルト。
