Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to an electronic component including a temperature sensitive element, and more particularly to a thermistor mounting structure that reduces temperature detection error.
Since circuit elements constituting electronic devices are generally affected by temperature, electronic devices often require temperature monitoring and control.
For example, in an internal combustion engine vehicle, an electric vehicle, or a hybrid vehicle using both an internal combustion engine and an electric motor, a DC-DC converter that raises and lowers a voltage between a plurality of types of power systems is generally a transformer, a diode, a capacitor, and an FET. Each element such as a semiconductor active element is provided. Since FETs that perform switching generate a large amount of heat during operation, heat is dissipated by contacting the element with a base plate or housing case equipped with a heat sink, while abnormal heat generation is detected. Install the element and monitor the temperature.
FIG. 13 shows an example of the thermistor mounting portion in the DC-DC converter. The
Further, the following patent documents disclose the thermistor mounting structure.
By the way, when temperature monitoring is performed using a temperature sensitive element such as a thermistor, there is a problem that the detected value varies depending on the ambient temperature. Even though the temperature of the object to be detected is the same, the detection temperature of the thermistor varies depending on the ambient temperature, and a detection error occurs. A possible cause is that the thermistor mounting structure is not appropriate.
Therefore, the inventor fixed the thermistor to the base plate by various attachment methods as shown in FIGS. 8 to 12 and measured the temperature. In the mounting structure (1) shown in FIG. 8, the tip of the
As for any structure (1) to (5), it is assumed that various electronic elements are housed in a housing (box-like case) to form an electronic component, and that there is no cover or no housing. The measurement was performed both when the lid was provided on the housing and when the lid was not provided. When the lid was provided, the ambient temperature (temperature in the housing) was 68.0 ° C., whereas when the lid was not provided, it was 46.0 ° C. The temperature of the base plate is 75.5 ° C. with or without a lid.
The temperature detection results by the structures (1) to (5) are as shown in Table 1 below.
From Table 1 above, when the ambient temperature is high (with a lid), it shows 73.0-74.0 ° C, which is close to the temperature of the base plate to be measured, 75.5 ° C, but the ambient temperature is low. (With no lid), 65.0-66.0 ° C., a value significantly lower than the base plate temperature of 75.5 ° C. (about 13% decrease). That is, the detection value is greatly influenced by the ambient temperature, and a detection error occurs. This detection error does not simply mean that a lid is provided on the component housing (there may be no housing depending on the component to be configured). Even if a lid is provided on the casing, the same detection error occurs because the ambient temperature in the casing is low in winter or in cold regions.
Such detection errors are almost the same in any of the above-described mounting structures (1) to (5), and no improvement in detection error due to the difference in the mounting structures is observed.
Therefore, the present inventor has further studied variously to find out the true cause of the detection error. As a result, the present invention has been completed by finding out that there is a cause not in the mounting structure of the thermistor itself (temperature detection section) but in the lead wire led out from the thermistor body.
That is, heat escapes into the air from the lead wire led out from the thermistor, which causes a detection error. In particular, when the ambient temperature is low (no lid), the amount of heat dissipated from the lead wire is large and tends to show a value significantly lower than the actual temperature (the temperature of the base plate that is the detection target).
On the other hand, the thermistor body when the thermistor attachment device described in
Therefore, the problem to be solved by the present invention is that a detection error due to the ambient temperature occurs in the temperature sensitive element, and an object of the present invention is to improve the detection accuracy of the temperature sensitive element.
In order to achieve the above object and solve the problem, a first electronic component according to the present invention includes an element main body that performs temperature detection, a temperature sensitive element having a lead wire derived from the element main body, and Pressing means capable of pressing the lead wire against the temperature detection object, the pressing means having a substantially flat bottom surface for pressing the lead wire, and both of the bottom surfaces of the bottom surface contacting the lead wire. Each of the edge portions has a curved portion, the element main body portion is installed on the temperature detection object, and at least a part of the lead wire is pressed against the temperature detection object by the pressing means.
In the first electronic component of the present invention, the lead wire of the temperature sensitive element is arranged to be pressed against the temperature detection object by the pressing means. Thereby, it is possible to prevent heat from being dissipated through the lead wire from the temperature detection unit of the temperature sensing element, and to detect a more accurate temperature of the temperature detection object. It is desirable that the portion of the lead wire pressed against the temperature detection object includes a portion close to the element main body. This is to reduce the amount of heat dissipated through the lead wire by reducing the temperature difference between the element main body installed on the temperature detection object and the lead wire to reduce the amount of heat conducted to the lead wire.
In addition, since the curved portion is formed in the pressing means, it is possible to prevent the lead wire of the temperature sensitive element from being damaged by the pressing means. In particular, when constructing electronic components for vehicle mounting that are subject to daily vibration, there is a situation in which the lead wire is damaged over a long period of time and the lead wire is damaged and temperature detection is not performed properly. It can be prevented from occurring.
In the present invention, the temperature detection object is, for example, a heat transfer member that conducts heat generated by the heat generating element, and the electronic component of the present invention includes the heat generating element with respect to the heat transfer member. There may be a support member to be pressed. This “exothermic element” refers to an element that generates heat and requires heat dissipation. For example, in addition to semiconductor active elements such as FETs and bipolar transistors, transformers, coils and other elements are included. In addition, the “heat transfer member” refers to an object that conducts heat of the exothermic element and dissipates the heat. For example, a base plate, a casing (case), a substrate, a heat sink, and the like that support various electronic / electrical elements and substrates.
The second electronic component of the present invention is capable of pressing a temperature sensing element having a temperature detecting element body portion, a lead wire led out from the element body portion, and the temperature detection object. And an electronic component in which at least a part of the lead wire is pressed against the temperature detection object by the pressing means. The object has a pedestal portion that protrudes from the surface of the temperature detection object and on which the lead wire can be placed. The pedestal portion has a height that corresponds to a height at which the lead wire is led out from the element body portion. The lead wires are pressed substantially by the pressing means against the pedestal.
From the viewpoint of reducing the detection error by reducing the temperature difference between the element body and the lead wire, when pressing the lead wire against the temperature detection object, the root of the lead wire (the part close to the element body) is It is desirable to contact the detection object. However, the lead wire derived from the temperature sensitive element (element main body) is not necessarily derived from the height position of the bottom surface of the element, and has a certain height (for example, about half of the element). It is often derived from the height position.
According to the second electronic component structure of the present invention, when such a temperature sensitive element is used, it is possible to place a lead wire on the pedestal, so that the root of the lead wire (from the element main body) It is possible to reduce the load on the (drawing portion) and press the portion closer to the element body portion against the temperature detection object by the pressing means, thereby further reducing the detection error. Note that, from the viewpoint of reducing the load on the lead wire, the height of the pedestal portion is substantially matched with the lead wire lead-out height position.
The third electronic component of the present invention is capable of pressing a temperature detection element having an element main body portion for detecting temperature, a lead wire led out from the element main body portion, and the temperature detection object. And an electronic component in which at least a part of the lead wire is pressed against the temperature detection object by the pressing means. The object includes a pair of protrusions that stand up from the surface of the temperature detection object at a predetermined interval so as to accommodate the lead wire and restrict lateral displacement of the lead wire, and the extension direction of the lead wire At least two sets, and the lead wire is accommodated between each pair of projections, and the pressing means is accommodated between the first pair of projections and the second pair of projections. The lead wire It is pressed to the temperature detection subject.
According to such a configuration of the third electronic component, the lead wire is accommodated between the two sets of projections, and the lead wire is pressed by the pressing means accommodated between the two sets of projections. Therefore, for example, it is possible to more reliably prevent a situation in which the lead wire is laterally displaced due to vibrations received by the electronic component and is separated from the pressing means to cause a detection error as in the related art. The configuration of the third electronic component is also suitable for use in a vehicle-mounted electronic component that is susceptible to vibration, similar to the first electronic component.
An example of the vehicle-mounted electronic component is a DC-DC converter mounted on a car. However, the “vehicle” referred to in the present invention is not limited to an automobile, and widely includes various moving bodies such as motorcycles, motor tricycles, railway vehicles, airplanes, and ships. Automobiles include passenger cars, special vehicles such as trucks, buses, and construction vehicles. In addition to the DC-DC converter, the electronic components include various electronic components including a temperature sensitive element.
Further, in the first electronic component as well as the third electronic component, the temperature detection object has a pedestal that can be raised from the surface of the temperature detection object and on which the lead wire can be placed, The height of the pedestal is substantially the same as the height at which the lead wire is led out from the element main body, and the lead is pressed against the pedestal by the pressing means. (This is called the fourth electronic component.)
Further, in any one of the first, second, and fourth electronic components, the temperature detection object contains the lead wire and is spaced at a certain interval so that lateral deviation of the lead wire can be regulated. At least two pairs of protrusions standing from the surface of the temperature detection object are provided in the direction in which the lead wires extend, the lead wires are accommodated between each pair of protrusions, and the first pair of protrusions The pressing means may be accommodated between the protrusion and the second pair of protrusions so as to press the lead wire against the temperature detection object (this is referred to as a fifth electronic component). To tell).
In order to prevent damage to the lead wire, in the third or fifth electronic component, it is desirable that the protrusion has a curved surface at least on the side facing the lead wire.
Furthermore, the temperature sensing element mounting structure according to the present invention is a temperature sensing element mounting structure having an element body for detecting temperature and a lead wire led out from the element body. The temperature detecting object is pressed by the pressing means, and the pressing means has a substantially flat bottom surface that presses the lead wire, and has curved portions at both edge portions of the bottom surface that contact the lead wire. .
According to the present invention, the temperature detection accuracy of the temperature sensitive element can be improved.
On the other hand, a pair of
The overhanging
The height of the pedestal may be substantially the same as the lead-out height of the
The heat generated from the
Table 2 below shows the temperature detection results by the thermistor of the above embodiment. The base plate temperature and the ambient temperature are the same as the mounting structure shown in Table 1 above. The detected value when the ambient temperature is 68.0 ° C. (with a lid) is 73.0 ° C., which is the same as the mounting structure (1) in FIGS. 8 to 12 (the same applies to (2) to (5)). When the ambient temperature is as low as 46.0 ° C (no lid), the effect of the ambient temperature can be significantly reduced compared to the prior art, which is 70.0 ° C compared to 66.0 ° C for the conventional mounting structure. I understand that I can do it.

However, the present invention is not limited to these embodiments, and various modifications can be made within the scope of the claims. Is obvious.
For example, in the embodiment, as shown in FIG. 8, the
