Abstract
【解決手段】拡張可能なステントであって、互いに関連する基端部および先端部と、基端部と先端部との間に設けられた管状の壁10とを有し、管状の壁は、長手方向の軸線と、連結された複数の支柱によって規定された多孔面とを有し、連結された支柱は、管状の壁の第1の端部から第2の端部への支柱厚さの勾配を有し、ステントへの径方向外方への力の適用の際に、ステントが、第1の圧縮された位置から第2の拡張された位置へ拡張可能である。ステントは、理想的には、曲がりくねった導管が狭窄部または閉塞部に続いているような、および、拡張されたステントの径方向の高硬度が必要であるような、たとえば小孔狭窄症の処理のような応用に適している。

Claims (34)
- 拡張可能なステントであって、互いに関連する基端部および先端部と、基端部と先端部との間に設けられた管状の壁とを有し、前記管状の壁は、長手方向の軸線と、相互に連結された複数の支柱によって規定された多孔面とを有し、前記連結された支柱は、前記管状の壁の第1の端部から第2の端部への支柱厚さの勾配を有し、ステントへの径方向外方への力の適用の際に、ステントが第1の圧縮された位置から第2の拡張された位置へ拡張可能であることを特徴とする拡張可能なステント。
- 少なくとも1つの横の部分の屈曲手段は、各長手方向の支柱に設けられていることを特徴とする請求項1記載のステント。
- 少なくとも1つの横の部分は、尖った頂部を有することを特徴とする請求項2記載のステント。
- 少なくとも1つの横の部分は、円い頂部を有することを特徴とする請求項2記載のステント。
- 少なくとも1つの横の部分は、平坦な頂部を有することを特徴とする請求項2記載のステント。
- 少なくとも第1の横の部分と第2の横の部分の屈曲手段は、各長手方向の支柱に設けられていることを特徴とする請求項1記載のステント。
- 第1の横の部分と第2の横の部分とは、対称であることを特徴とする請求項6記載のステント。
- 第1の横の部分と第2の横の部分とは、非対称であることを特徴とする請求項6記載のステント。
- 第1の横の部分と第2の横の部分とは、実質的に同一の形状で異なった寸法を有していることを特徴とする請求項8記載のステント。
- 第1の横の部分と第2の横の部分とは、異なった形状と寸法を有していることを特徴とする請求項8記載のステント。
- 第1の横の部分と第2の横の部分とは、実質的に同一の形状で異なった寸法を有していることを特徴とする請求項1ないし10いずれか1項記載のステント。
- 複数の交差部材は、第1の繰り返しパターンを規定するために配置されていることを特徴とする請求項1ないし11いずれか1項記載のステント。
- 複数の交差部材は、第1の繰り返しパターンの円周状に設けられた複数のリングを規定することを特徴とする請求項12記載のステント。
- 支柱厚さの勾配は、第1の繰り返しパターンの円周状に設けられた隣接するリングの支柱の厚さの変更を有することを特徴とする請求項13記載のステント。
- 支柱厚さの勾配は、第1の繰り返しパターンの円周状に設けられた隣接するリングの全ての支柱の間に現われることを特徴とする請求項14記載のステント。
- 支柱厚さの勾配は、第1の繰り返しパターンの円周状に設けられた隣接するリングの支柱の部分に現われることを特徴とする請求項14記載のステント。
- 長手方向の軸線に実質的に平行な1対の側壁を有する多角形部を備えたことを特徴とする請求項12ないし16いずれか1項記載のステント。
- 各側壁に設けられた屈曲手段をさらに備えたことを特徴とする請求項17記載のステント。
- 屈曲手段は、S字形状の部分を有することを特徴とする請求項18記載のステント。
- S字形状の部分は、結合された1対の湾曲部を有し、各湾曲部が約180°の円弧を有することを特徴とする請求項19記載のステント。
- S字形状の部分は、結合された1対の湾曲部を有し、各湾曲部が180°より大きい円弧を有することを特徴とする請求項19記載のステント。
- 複数の湾曲部は、実質的に同一の寸法であることを特徴とする請求項20ないし21いずれか1項記載のステント。
- 複数の湾曲部は、異なった寸法であることを特徴とする請求項20ないし21いずれか1項記載のステント。
- 多角形部は、対になった側壁によって互いに接続された凹形状の壁と凸形状の壁とをさらに備えたことを特徴とする請求項17ないし23いずれか1項記載のステント。
- 凹形状の壁と凸形状の壁との少なくとも1つは、平坦な頂部を有することを特徴とする請求項24記載のステント。
- 凹形状の壁と凸形状の壁との両方は、平坦な頂部を有することを特徴とする請求項24記載のステント。
- 支柱厚さの勾配は、凹形状の壁に現われることを特徴とする請求項24ないし26いずれか1項記載のステント。

- 自己拡張型の材料は、ニチノールであることを特徴とする請求項31記載のステント。
- 自己拡張型の材料は、約30°C以上の温度で拡張することを特徴とする請求項31記載のステント。
- 自己拡張型の材料は、約30°Cから約40°Cの範囲の温度で拡張することを特徴とする請求項31記載のステント。
