Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a radiation imaging apparatus that irradiates a subject with radiation and performs radiation imaging of the subject, and a control method thereof. In the description of the present specification, an example is shown in which X-rays are applied as radiation. However, the present invention is not limited to this, and examples of radiation include α rays, β rays, and γ rays. And
In recent years, a system for taking an X-ray image of an object using a large area semiconductor image sensor (FPD) has been developed. The X-ray imaging apparatus using the FPD performs an imaging operation under the control of the control PC, for example, and transmits X-ray image data acquired by imaging to the control PC. Then, the control PC processes the received X-ray image data and displays, for example, an X-ray image based on the X-ray image data on a display device of the control PC, a medical high-definition display device, or the like.
For example, in the medical field, in order to improve the efficiency of medical treatment, it is preferable that the time from when an imaging operation (X-ray exposure to a subject) is performed until the captured X-ray image is displayed on the display device is shorter. preferable. In particular, in the field of emergency medical care, it is necessary to perform diagnosis and treatment immediately, so it is very important to quickly display a photographed X-ray image on a display device.
In general X-ray imaging apparatuses and control PCs, processing of the following steps is required from when an X-ray is exposed to a subject until an X-ray image is displayed on the display device. First, in the X-ray imaging apparatus, an X-ray image signal is read from the FPD, the read X-ray image signal is converted into a digital signal, written as X-ray image data in the memory in the apparatus, and the X-ray image written in the memory Each process of transmitting data to the control PC is required. Further, the control PC needs to perform various processes for performing image processing on the X-ray image data received from the X-ray imaging apparatus and displaying an X-ray image on the display device based on the X-ray image data subjected to the image processing. Of these processes, it takes time to read out the X-ray image signal from the FPD and to transmit the X-ray image data to the control PC.
Therefore, the display time can be further shortened by transmitting the X-ray image data while reading the X-ray image signal from the FPD. However, if the X-ray image data is transmitted to the control PC while reading the X-ray image signal from the FPD, the influence of the fluctuation of the power supply voltage / ground potential due to the operation of the transmission circuit unit that transmits the X-ray image data, An unintended so-called artifact may occur in the image due to the influence of radiation noise accompanying the transmission operation.
In order to solve this, for example, in Patent Document 1 below, by stopping the communication module when reading out the X-ray image signal, generation of noise from the communication module is suppressed, and a good X-ray image is displayed. Shows how to get. Patent Document 1 below also describes a method of obtaining the same effect by stopping the communication module immediately before the reference potential hold and immediately before the accumulated charge hold when reading out the X-ray image signal. Yes.
However, in the method of stopping the communication module at the time of reading the X-ray image signal described above, communication is started after the reading of the X-ray image signal in all the pixels of the FPD is completed, and therefore, until the X-ray image is displayed. There is a problem that it takes a long time.
In the above-described method of stopping the communication module immediately before the reference potential hold and immediately before the accumulated charge hold, the interval between the holds is short, so that only one X-ray image for one packet is used by using only between each hold. It is very difficult to send data. Even if X-ray image data can be transmitted during each hold, the transmission efficiency of the X-ray image data is significantly deteriorated.
The present invention has been made in view of the above-described problems. When transmitting radiographic image data, the radiographic image data can be transmitted without deteriorating its transmission efficiency and with reduced noise contamination. An object is to provide a radiation imaging apparatus and a control method thereof.

The control method of the present invention is a control method of a radiographic apparatus that irradiates a subject with radiation and performs radiography of the subject, and a detection step of detecting radiation that has passed through the subject as a radiographic image signal by a detection means A signal readout step for reading out the radiation image signal detected by the detection means, and a signal potential reference hold or a signal acquisition hold at the time of readout of the radiation image signal by the signal readout means. And a transmission step of starting transmission of radiation image data based on the radiation image signal read out by the signal reading means to an external device.

Next, a control method related to a specific X-ray imaging operation of the X-ray imaging system 100 (particularly, the X-ray imaging apparatus 110) will be described.
FIG. 2 is a timing chart showing an example of a control method related to the X-ray imaging operation of the
In FIG. 2, the X-ray generator
In response to an imaging preparation request instruction (210: 1st switch pressed) on the
Subsequently, in response to an X-ray irradiation request instruction (210: 2nd switch pressed) on the

At the timing “d” in FIG. 4, the signal
By repeating the above processing, the
As described above, in this embodiment, the transmission start timing of the X-ray image data for one packet is set immediately after the signal
According to such a configuration, it is possible to eliminate the influence of noise in at least one sample-and-hold operation for transmission of one packet of X-ray image data without reducing the transmission efficiency of X-ray image data. Thereby, it is possible to reduce the mixing of noise into the X-ray image as compared with the case of transferring the X-ray image data at random. For example, even when X-ray image data is transmitted while reading out an X-ray image signal from the
