Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a broadcast receiving apparatus and a broadcast receiving method for receiving information related to a program such as a program name, broadcast date and time, and description of contents.
There are countries and regions where the so-called Summer Time system, which advances the time only during the summer, is introduced in order to make effective use of the time when the sun is out. This summertime system is being considered for full-scale introduction in Japan as part of measures to combat global warming. When this daylight saving time system is implemented, various problems occur when the standard time (winter time) and summer time are switched. For example, in a broadcast receiving apparatus that receives a broadcast, it is not clear whether the time displayed on an electronic program guide (EPG: Electric Program Guide) is standard time or summer time, and the user cannot view a desired program. There was a fear. As a solution to such a problem, there is a video signal receiving device disclosed in
The video signal receiving apparatus described in
このTOTには、日本の現在の日時及び時刻を示すJST_time に加え、LTOD(Local Time Offset Descriptor)と呼ばれるサマータイムに関する情報を更に含めることができる。
By the way, the daylight saving time system has not been fully introduced in Japan, and the operation of including LTOD in the TOT is not currently performed. For this reason, when the daylight saving time system is introduced in earnest, it is possible that the current standard will be operated differently. For example, instead of including LTOD in the TOT, it can be considered that JST_time itself is advanced or delayed by, for example, one hour. When such operation is performed, the conventional broadcast receiving apparatus cannot determine the start or end of daylight saving time. As a result, there is a risk that the user of the broadcast receiving apparatus may suffer from a disadvantage that the daylight saving time cannot be recognized from the EPG.
Therefore, an object of the present invention is to provide a broadcast receiving apparatus and a broadcast receiving method that can determine the start or end of daylight saving time without using LTD.
In order to solve the above problems, an aspect of the present invention is a broadcast receiving apparatus that receives a program, and includes a receiving unit, a separating unit, a program information extracting unit, a calculating unit, a time difference determining unit, and a start An end determination unit. The receiving unit receives program information including the broadcast start time and broadcast time of each program as a broadcast signal, and outputs it as a transport stream. The separation unit separates the program information from the transport stream. The program information extraction unit extracts the broadcast start time and broadcast time of each program from the program information. The calculation unit calculates the broadcast end time of the preceding program by adding the broadcasting time of the preceding program to the broadcasting start time of the preceding program. The time difference determination unit determines whether or not there is a time difference between the broadcast start time of the subsequent program following the preceding program and the broadcast end time of the preceding program. The start / end determination unit determines that the summer time starts or ends on the condition that the time difference determination unit determines that there is a time difference.
In another aspect, the start / end determination unit determines whether the broadcast start time of the subsequent program is a time later than or before the broadcast end time of the preceding program, and is a later time. In this case, it is determined that the daylight saving time starts, and it is determined that the daylight saving time ends when it is the previous time.
In another aspect, the time difference determination unit determines the presence or absence of the time difference for two or more predetermined number of broadcast channels, and the start / end determination unit determines the time difference for all of the predetermined number of broadcast channels by the time difference determination unit. When it is determined that there is a daylight saving time, it is determined that daylight saving time starts or ends.
In another aspect, the receiving unit includes time information including at least the current time information among current time information indicating a current date and time, and time difference information indicating a time difference between a time indicated by the current time information and daylight saving time. Is further received as a broadcast signal, and further includes a time information determination unit that determines whether or not both the current time information and the time difference information are included in the time information received by the reception unit. In this case, the start / end determination unit determines that the daylight saving time is started or ended based on the current time information and the time difference information when the time information determination unit determines that both are included. to decide.
Another aspect displays a control unit that creates an electronic program guide indicating the start or end of daylight saving time based on the program information and the determination result of the start / end determination unit, and the electronic program guide created by the control unit. And a display unit.
Further, one aspect of the present invention is a broadcast receiving method for receiving a program, which receives program information including a broadcast start time and a broadcast time of each program as a broadcast signal and outputs it as a transport stream, Separating the program information from the transport stream, extracting the broadcast start time and broadcast time of each program from the program information, and adding the broadcast time of the preceding program to the broadcast start time of the preceding program. Calculating the broadcast end time of the preceding program, determining the time difference between the broadcast start time of the subsequent program following the preceding program and the broadcast end time of the preceding program, and determining the presence of the time difference. And determining that daylight saving time is started or ended when it is determined that there is a time difference in the step.
According to the present invention, the start or end of daylight saving time is determined based on program information necessary for generating an electronic program guide. Therefore, the start or end of daylight saving time can be determined without using LTOD.
(First embodiment)
Hereinafter, a first embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings as appropriate. First, the configuration of the
FIG. 1 is a block diagram showing a configuration of a
The
The digital broadcast received by the
By the way, in
Local_time_offset_polarity は、local_time_offset 及びnext_time_offsetの極性を指定する1ビットの情報である。 next_time_offsetは、time_of_changeで指定された日付と時刻以降に適用される時間差(オフセット時間)を示す情報である。 FIG. 2 is a diagram showing the structure of a TOT in which LTOD is inserted. Of the information included in the TOT, information directly related to the present invention will be described below. JST_time is current time information indicating the current date and time as described above. Local_time_offset_polarity is 1-bit information that specifies the polarities of local_time_offset and next_time_offset. When local_time_offset_polarity is “0”, it means that the time is advanced by the offset time relative to JST_time, and when “1”, it means that the time is delayed by the offset time relative to JST_time. local_time_offset is information indicating a time difference (offset time) between the time indicated by JST_time and the summer time. time_of_change indicates the date and time to be changed to the next different offset time. next_time_offset is information indicating a time difference (offset time) applied after the date and time specified by time_of_change.
For example, when local_time_offset_polarity is “0”, local_time_offset is 0 minute, time_of_change is 2 am on April 1, 2009, and next_time_offset is 1 hour, the current date and time are standard times indicated by JST_time. This means that the date and time indicated by JST_time at 1 am on April 1st of the year are advanced by 1 hour to switch from standard time (winter time) to summer time. For example, when local_time_offset_polarity is “0”, local_time_offset is 1 hour, time_of_change is 2 o'clock on October 1, 2009, and next_time_offset is 0 hour, the current date and time are indicated by JST_time. The daylight saving time is one hour ahead of the standard time, which means that the daylight saving time returns to the standard time (winter time) indicated by JST_time from 2:00 am on October 1, 2009.
Thus, when LTOD is included in TOT, it is possible to determine whether daylight saving time starts or ends based on TOT. However, in Japan today, the daylight saving time system has been tested in some areas, but the daylight saving time system is not fully implemented. For this reason, if the daylight saving time system is implemented in earnest, for example, instead of including LTOD in the TOT, it may be possible to start or end daylight saving time by changing the reference time (JST_time). It is done. Considering this, the
及びduration(以下「放送時間」ともいう。)
FIG. 3 is a diagram showing the structure of the EIT. The EIT describes information necessary for creating an electronic program guide (EPG). Of the information described in the EIT, information directly related to the present invention will be described below. start_time is information indicating the broadcast start time of the program in Japan Standard Time (JST) and Modified Julian Day (MJD). Duration is information indicating the broadcast time (duration time) of the program. The receiving
The
The
The program
The
The time
The start /
The
The
Hereinafter, the broadcast receiving method according to the present embodiment will be described with reference to FIG. FIG. 4 is a flowchart illustrating a procedure of processes performed by the
The receiving
As described above, the TOT includes JST_time indicating the current date and time. Therefore, the
When the EIT is output from the
When the broadcast start time and broadcast time of the preceding program are output from the program
Subsequently, the time
When the time
When there is no time difference between the broadcast start time of the subsequent program and the broadcast end time of the preceding program for all the programs of the broadcast channel selected in step S4 (step S8: YES), the start /

Subsequently, the start /
FIG. 5 is a diagram for explaining processing for determining the start or end of daylight saving time from the EIT. In the example shown in FIG. 5, the broadcast start times of the subsequent programs B, D, F, and H are one hour later than the broadcast end times of the preceding programs A, C, E, and G. By the way, at the start of daylight saving time, the operation is performed such that the time is advanced by, for example, one hour. Therefore, in the example shown in FIG. 5, the broadcast end times of the preceding programs A, C, E, and G are standard times, and the broadcast start times of the subsequent programs B, D, F, and H are shown in summer time. it is conceivable that. That is, it can be determined that daylight saving time starts. Accordingly, when the start /
FIG. 6 is a diagram illustrating a display example of an EPG indicating that daylight saving time is started. In the example shown in FIG. 5, the broadcast start times of the subsequent programs B, D, F, and H are delayed by one hour from the broadcast end times of the preceding programs A, C, E, and G. In such a case, the
FIG. 7 is a diagram for explaining processing for determining the start or end of daylight saving time from the EIT. In the example shown in FIG. 7, the broadcast start times of the subsequent programs B, D, F, and H are one hour before the broadcast end times of the preceding programs A, C, E, and G. By the way, at the end of the daylight saving time, an operation is performed in which the time is returned by, for example, one hour. Therefore, in the example shown in FIG. 7, the broadcast end times of the preceding programs A, C, E, and G are summer time, and the broadcast start times of the subsequent programs B, D, F, and H are shown as standard times. it is conceivable that. That is, it can be determined that the daylight saving time ends. Therefore, when the start /
FIG. 8 is a diagram illustrating a display example of an EPG indicating that the daylight saving time is ended. In the example shown in FIG. 7, the broadcast start times of the subsequent programs B, D, F, and H are one hour later than the broadcast end times of the preceding programs A, C, E, and G. In such a case, the
As described above, according to the
In the present embodiment, it is determined that daylight saving time starts or ends on the condition that there is a time difference for all four broadcast channels. For this reason, for example, the accuracy of the determination process can be improved as compared with a case where daylight saving time is determined to start or end on the condition that there is a time difference with respect to one broadcast channel.
In the present embodiment, the mode in which the time difference between the standard time before shifting to daylight saving time and the daylight saving time is 1 hour has been described, but this time difference is not limited to 1 hour. The time difference between the standard time and the daylight saving time is appropriately changed depending on the sunshine conditions and the like, and may be, for example, 30 minutes or 2 hours.
Further, in the present embodiment, a mode has been described in which daylight saving time is determined to start or end when there is a time difference regardless of the length of the time difference. However, when the time difference is extremely short (for example, several minutes), daylight saving time is set. Is unlikely to start or end. Therefore, a threshold value (for example, 1 hour) may be set, and it may be determined that the daylight saving time starts or ends on the condition that the time difference is equal to or greater than the threshold value.
(Second Embodiment)
Hereinafter, a second embodiment of the present invention will be described. FIG. 9 is a block diagram showing the configuration of the
The
Hereinafter, the broadcast receiving method according to the present embodiment will be described with reference to FIG. FIG. 10 is a flowchart illustrating a procedure of processes performed by the
Subsequent to the process of step S3, the
When the
The determination result of the start /
As described above, in the
In the present embodiment, when LTOD is included in the TOT (“YES” in step S22), the program
Further, the start /
(Third embodiment)
Hereinafter, a third embodiment of the present invention will be described. In the first embodiment, the mode in which the daylight saving time is determined to start or end when there is a time difference for all four broadcast channels has been described. However, the predetermined number of the present invention is not limited to “4”. . For example, it may be determined that the daylight saving time is started or ended when there is a time difference between two broadcast channels out of four broadcast channels in which the
FIG. 11 is a flowchart illustrating a procedure of processes performed by the
When the time
That is, it is determined that the daylight saving time is started or ended if there is a time difference between a predetermined number (for example, two) of the broadcast channels that can be received by the broadcast receiving apparatus 10 (for example, four). Is done. Therefore, it is possible to quickly determine whether summer time starts or ends while maintaining a certain degree of accuracy.
In the first to third embodiments, the case has been described in which daylight saving time is determined to start or end on the condition that a time difference is detected for a plurality of broadcast channels. Alternatively, if there is only one broadcast channel with a time difference, it may be determined that daylight saving time starts or ends. That is, the processing in step S10 in FIGS. 4 and 10 and the processing in steps S26 and S10 in FIG. 11 may be deleted. However, in order to more accurately determine whether daylight saving time starts or ends, it is preferable to determine whether there is a time difference for a plurality of channels.
In the first to third embodiments, the case where the EIT includes the broadcast start time and broadcast time of the program has been described. Instead, the EIT includes the broadcast start time and broadcast end time of the program. May be included. In this case, since the
