Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a variable cross-section extrusion die for forming an extruded material whose cross-sectional shape changes in the extrusion direction in an extruded product using a metal material such as aluminum.
2. Description of the Related Art In recent years, aluminum alloy parts have been adopted from the viewpoint of reducing the weight and recycling of vehicle bodies, and aluminum extruded materials have been adopted for chassis members, vehicle body members, and the like in the components of various vehicles such as passenger cars.
In general extrusion processing, extrusion is performed using a die having a fixed die hole, so that a product having the same cross-sectional shape is obtained in all the extrusion directions.
For example, when a chassis door frame or a frame molding is to be processed with an aluminum extruded material, it is extruded into a predetermined cross-sectional shape, and then bent, pressed, or cut to produce a predetermined shape.
Door frames and frame moldings are not of a constant cross-sectional shape or thickness. Thick parts where rigidity is required are made thick, and conversely, parts that are to be reduced in weight are made thin, or the flange width is gradually changed. Different products are required.
In the conventional manufacturing method, since the extruded material extruded in advance with the thickest cross-sectional shape of the thickest part is processed into a predetermined cross-sectional shape by pressing, cutting, etc., it takes a lot of processing steps and material costs It took a lot.
However, frame molding and the like require a variable cross-sectional shape of two or more directions with an asymmetric cross-section, and the conventional variable extrusion molding method requires a variable extrusion die structure and a driving device that slides in each variable direction. There was a problem that the drive unit was complicated.
An object of the present invention is to provide a variable cross-section extrusion die whose cross-sectional shape can be changed in two or more directions by simply sliding one die in one direction.
The technical gist of the present invention is an extrusion die used for hot extrusion molding of a metal material, comprising a drive die and a driven die driven by the movement of the drive die, and the drive die and the driven die. A die hole is formed by a combination.
Here, the driving die refers to a die that is moved by a driving device provided outside. When the driving die slides, the driven die slides in conjunction with the driving die.
As an example of a method of interlocking the drive die and the driven die, for example, a method in which the drive die and the driven die move relative to each other on an inclined surface inclined at a predetermined angle with respect to the moving direction of the drive die can be cited.
If it does in this way, a driven die will be slid in the reverse direction from the center direction to the outer side, for example by sliding a drive die from the outer side of a metallic mold to a center direction via a drive device.
Then, since the die hole is formed by the combination of the driving die and the driven die, it is possible to obtain an extruded material whose cross-sectional shape is changed in two directions by the movement of the driving die and the movement of the driven die.
Here, forming a die hole by a combination of a driving die and a driven die means setting the die so that both the driving die and the driven die affect the shape of the extruded material. The driving die and the driven die In addition, a die hole may be formed in combination with another die such as a back die or a base die.
Moreover, you may have a some driven die with respect to one drive die.
In the extrusion die according to the present invention, the movement of the drive die is set to a direction in which the driven die moves in a direction different from the movement direction of the drive die, so that at least 2 in the cross-sectional shape of the extruded material. The cross-sectional shape can be varied beyond the direction.
In addition, conventionally, a cross-sectional shape required for a product was obtained by machining or the like in a separate process using an extruded material previously extruded with a thick cross-section, whereas according to the present invention, In the process, the external shape can be changed in two directions in the extrusion direction, and a member whose cross-sectional shape is changed in the extrusion direction can be formed without providing a seam or a step.
