Abstract
Description
本発明は、微粒子の計測方法にかかり、特には、計測エリア内を浮遊する微粒子を計測することに関するものである。 The present invention relates to a method for measuring fine particles, and particularly relates to measuring fine particles floating in a measurement area.
Fine particles floating in the air contain a wide variety of substances. In addition, the fine particle sizes are various, ranging from a size that can be observed with the naked eye to a size that cannot be observed with the naked eye. Among such fine particles, for example, CNT (carbon nanotube) has a fine particle size on the order of nm. Therefore, it is preferable to quantitatively measure in order to avoid exposure to the human body at the manufacturing stage. When measuring fine particles floating not only in CNT but also in the air, it is necessary to first trap the fine particles regardless of the purpose of the measurement.
In the present invention, when suspended particles are trapped on a sample, even if the trap amount is very small, spectroscopic measurement can be performed.
本発明にかかる微粒子計測方法は、計測エリア内を浮遊する微粒子をサンプル上にトラップする第1ステップと、上記第1ステップでサンプル上にトラップされて存在する微粒子を該サンプル上の所定小エリアに集積する第2ステップと、上記第2ステップで上記サンプルの所定の小エリアに集積している微粒子を分光的手段にて計測する第3ステップと、を含むことを特徴とする。 The method for measuring fine particles according to the present invention includes a first step of trapping fine particles floating in a measurement area on a sample, and fine particles trapped on the sample in the first step in a predetermined small area on the sample. A second step of accumulating; and a third step of measuring the fine particles accumulated in a predetermined small area of the sample in the second step by a spectroscopic means.
本発明では、特に、第2ステップで微粒子をトラップフィルタ上の所定小エリアに集積する方法として、微粒子を溶媒表面に再分散させ、溶媒を蒸発させる際による微粒子の再凝集の効果や、さらには、溶媒中に浮遊している微粒子を光放射圧の作用や、基板上において、基板の凹凸、親和性により液滴を集積させることにより、微粒子の濃縮を助長させることなどが有効である。 In the present invention, in particular, as a method of collecting the fine particles in a predetermined small area on the trap filter in the second step, the effect of re-aggregating the fine particles by redispersing the fine particles on the solvent surface and evaporating the solvent, It is effective to promote the concentration of the fine particles suspended in the solvent by the action of the light radiation pressure or by collecting the droplets on the substrate due to the unevenness and affinity of the substrate.
こうして微粒子をトラップフィルタ上の所定小エリアに集積させた場合では、微粒子濃度が大きくなり、微粒子計測に好ましい。また、上記集積した微粒子をラマン増感等の増感処理し、増感処理した微粒子を分光的手段で分光して計測するので、浮遊微粒子が微量であっても、その微量の微粒子を効率的に計測することができる。 In this way, when fine particles are accumulated in a predetermined small area on the trap filter, the fine particle concentration becomes large, which is preferable for fine particle measurement. In addition, the collected fine particles are subjected to sensitization treatment such as Raman sensitization, and the sensitized fine particles are measured by spectroscopic means. Can be measured.
好ましくは、上記第3ステップの実施前に、上記微粒子に分光計測上の感度を増すための増感処理を施す、ことである。 Preferably, before performing the third step, the fine particles are subjected to a sensitization process for increasing sensitivity in spectroscopic measurement.
本発明方法では、第1ステップで浮遊微粒子に計測対象外の微粒子がトラップされても、第2ステップにより、計測対象の微粒子を他の微粒子と区別して集積することができると共に、微粒子計測に必要な量の微粒子を所定小エリアに集積して確保することができる。 In the method of the present invention, even if particles that are not to be measured are trapped in the suspended particles in the first step, the particles to be measured can be distinguished from other particles and accumulated in the second step and are necessary for particle measurement. A sufficient amount of fine particles can be collected and secured in a predetermined small area.
なお、本発明は、分光の形態に限定されるものではなんらなく、また、微粒子も、その浮遊形態になんら限定されるものではなく、気中、液中を問わない。 Note that the present invention is not limited to the spectroscopic form, and the fine particles are not limited to the floating form, and may be in the air or in the liquid.
さらには、本発明は、微粒子の種類にはなんら限定されない。微粒子の一例としては、例えば、気中、液中に浮遊する炭素系微粒子、有機物含有微粒子、無機物からなる微粒子を例示することができる。炭素系微粒子には例えばCNTがある。 Furthermore, the present invention is not limited to the kind of fine particles. Examples of the fine particles include, for example, carbon-based fine particles floating in the air and liquid, organic-containing fine particles, and fine particles composed of an inorganic substance. Carbon-based fine particles include, for example, CNT.
本発明によれば、浮遊微粒子をトラップした際、そのトラップ量が微量であるとしても、分光計測に必要な量の微粒子を集積して確保することができる。 According to the present invention, when trapped floating particles are trapped, even if the trap amount is very small, it is possible to accumulate and secure the amount of particles necessary for spectroscopic measurement.
以下、添付した図面を参照して、本発明の実施の形態に係る微粒子の計測方法を詳細に説明する。なお、この実施の形態では微粒子としてCNTを例に挙げるが、本発明はあらゆる微粒子の計測に適用できるものであり、CNTに限定されない。 Hereinafter, a method for measuring fine particles according to an embodiment of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings. In this embodiment, CNT is taken as an example of fine particles, but the present invention can be applied to measurement of all fine particles, and is not limited to CNT.
FIG. 1 shows the processing steps for implementing the method. As shown in FIG. 1, this measurement method includes a CNT trapping step for trapping CNTs as an example of suspended particulates, a CNT accumulation processing step for accumulating CNTs trapped in the CNT trapping step in a small area, A Raman sensitizing treatment step of adding metal nanoparticles as a Raman sensitizing material for sensitizing the Raman spectral sensitivity to the CNT accumulated in the CNT accumulation processing step, and a CNT having a Raman spectral sensitivity sensitized in the Raman sensitizing treatment step. A Raman spectroscopic processing step for quantitatively measuring the amount of suspended CNTs by performing Raman spectroscopy.
The CNT trap processing step will be described with reference to FIG. 2. Reference numeral 1 denotes a CNT trap device as means for realizing the CNT trap processing step. The CNT trap device 1 is arranged at an appropriate position in the CNT measurement area 3 and traps (captures and captures) the
The CNT trap device 1 includes at least a cylindrical filter case 5 and a
CNT計測エリア3内を浮遊するCNT9は、CNTトラップ装置1のフィルタケース5の大径部分5aの広い間口に導入されると共にその内部通路を自重落下していくと共に、ケース下部の小径部分5bの狭い間口に装着しているCNTトラップフィルタ7でトラップされる。
The
CNTトラップフィルタ7の構造を図3を参照して説明する。図3(a)はCNTトラップフィルタ7のSEM写真一部を模式的に示す平面図、図3(b)は図3(a)のA−A線断面図を示す。
The structure of the
CNTトラップフィルタ7は、CNTが通過できない孔径をもつ細孔を多数有する多孔体、実施の形態では、多孔質ガラスで構成されている。多孔質ガラスの作製法としては、ガラスの分相による方法、ゾルゲル法による方法、均一粒子の焼結による方法等がある。図3で示す多孔質ガラスは、ガラスの分相による方法により作製されたものである。
The
In FIG. 3A, the portion displayed in black is the pore portion of the porous glass, and the portion displayed in white is the porous glass portion. The pore diameter of this porous glass is distributed between 6 nm and 100 nm. This porous glass is a base glass (borosilicate glass) mainly composed of SiO 2 (50-70 wt%): B 2 O 3 (20-40 wt%): Na 2 O (5-15 wt%). ) At a temperature not lower than the glass transition point and not higher than the softening point (usually 500 ° C. to 650 ° C.), and then etched by acid and alkali. The porous glass produced in this way has a quartz glass sponge structure. Thus, the porous glass of the embodiment is a high silicate type porous glass made as described above. This porous glass has a large number of pores, and the pore diameter can be controlled by the composition of the base glass, the heat treatment conditions for phase separation, and the like.
CNTトラップ装置1のフィルタケース5は、上記したごとく、上部が大径で、下部が小径で、かつ、その小径部分5bにCNTトラップフィルタ7を装着したので、CNTトラップフィルタ7のフィルタ面積は、フィルタケース5上部の大径部分5aの開口面積より小さく、これによりCNT9をそのフィルタ面にトラップし濃縮することができる。
As described above, the filter case 5 of the CNT trap device 1 has a large diameter at the top, a small diameter at the bottom, and the
CNT9は、自重によりCNTトラップフィルタ7のフィルタケース5内に導入されるが、下方から図示略の気流吸い込みポンプで吸い込ませるようにすることで、さらに短時間でCNTトラップフィルタのフィルタケース5内に導入させやすくなる。
The CNT 9 is introduced into the filter case 5 of the
ただし、その場合のCNT9の単位時間当たりのトラップ量はCNT計測エリア3内に居る作業者が単位時間当たりに吸引する可能性があるCNT量より多くなるので、作業者が単位時間当たりに吸引する可能性があるCNT量を測定するには、そのトラップ量を補正する必要がある。
However, since the trap amount per unit time of the
While the
このようなCNT集積処理ステップを、図4を参照して、説明する。まず、図4(a)で示すように、CNTトラップフィルタ7上には、上記CNTトラップ処理ステップにより、CNTトラップフィルタ7のフィルタ面上へのCNT9の自然落下により、そのフィルタ面全域の広い範囲でCNT9が散在してトラップされている。
Such a CNT accumulation processing step will be described with reference to FIG. First, as shown in FIG. 4A, on the
そして、図4(b)で示すように、CNTトラップフィルタ7上にCNT分散媒の例としてエタノール11を滴下治具13を用いて滴下する。滴下したエタノール11a中に、CNTトラップフィルタ7上のCNT9を分散させる。
Then, as shown in FIG. 4B,
Next, as shown in FIG. 4C,
小エリア内にCNT9が集積すると、エタノール溶媒11aを図4(e)で示すように気化させる。こうしてCNTトラップフィルタ7の所定小エリア上にCNT9が集積され濃縮化される。
When the
次に、CNT集積処理ステップで小エリア内に集積したCNT9にラマン分光感度を増感させるラマン増感材を添加するラマン増感処理ステップを行う。このラマン増感処理ステップを、図5を参照して説明すると、図5(a)で示すように金や銀等の金属超微粒子(金属ナノ粒子)17aを含むラマン増感材液17を滴下治具19を用いて、CNTトラップフィルタ7上に図4(e)のように集積しているCNT9上に、滴下する。
Next, a Raman sensitizing treatment step is performed in which a Raman sensitizing material for sensitizing the Raman spectral sensitivity is added to the
そして、この金属ナノ粒子17aに図5(b)で示すように光照射21すると、金属ナノ粒子17aに表面プラズモン共鳴(SPR:Surface Plasmon Resonance)が起きる。
When the
この表面プラズモン共鳴は、金属ナノ粒子17a表面に光照射21した際に、金属ナノ粒子17a表面の自由電子が励起状態になり、自由電子が図5(c)で示すように集団17bで振動することで、表面プラズモン波が発生し、強い電場が発生する現象である。
In the surface plasmon resonance, when the surface of the
この場合、CNT9もこの集団17bと共に振動することになる。このようにして上記集積したCNT9上に、銀等の金属ナノ粒子17aを含む溶液を滴下し、光照射21することで、金属ナノ粒子17a表面にプラズモン共鳴を起こさせ、ラマン散乱光強度を表面増強(SERS:Surface Enhanced Raman Scattering)させることができる。
In this case, the
次に、ラマン分光処理ステップでは、CNTトラップフィルタ7上でラマン増感処理ステップでラマン散乱光強度が増強したCNT9に対してラマン分光する。ラマン分光については、物質にある波長の光を照射すると、その光と同じ波長の光(レイリー光)以外に、波長が少しずれた光(ラマン光)がごくわずかであるが散乱され、その波長のずれは物質特有であり、ラマン分光では、光照射21して散乱光のラマンスペクトルを測定する。
Next, in the Raman spectroscopy processing step, Raman spectroscopy is performed on the
This Raman spectroscopy will be described with reference to FIG. In FIG. 6, a laser irradiation light 25 from a

The Raman spectrum is represented by a graph in which the vertical axis represents the Raman scattered light intensity and the horizontal axis represents the Raman shift (unit: wave number, cm −1 ). In this Raman spectrum, a peak found in graphite having a high crystallinity called G peak appears near 1585 (cm −1 ), and a defect density existing in a graphite crystal called D peak appears near 1380 (cm −1 ).
